Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

The last question was about the death of Rowena Ravenclaw.

Calculating the time, it should have happened not long after this. This was a historical event that could be confirmed.

Most of Helena’s regret also came from this. She believed that it was her own behavior that killed her mother.

Did Rowena Ravenclaw die of illness because she missed her daughter as the legend said? Or was it for some other reason?

Another thing that was certain was that shortly after Ravenclaw’s death, Godric Gryffindor also left this world, probably in the following few years, not too long, and it was said that he also died of illness. Wasn’t this too coincidental?

It was important to note that wizards of their caliber had numerous ways to stave off aging and death.

For them to succumb to illness seemed almost absurd, and for both to pass away in quick succession made it an astronomically rare event.

Claiming they both died of illness was less believable than suggesting they were attacked, cursed, or ambushed during an adventure.

Oh, and there was Salazar Slytherin!

Evan didn’t know the exact time he left Hogwarts, but it should have been before Ravenclaw died of illness.

Because his departure was included as a landmark event in Hogwarts: A History, it meant that there were serious differences in the educational philosophies of the Four Founders, and Hogwarts would face the first major event of disintegration in its history.

It was said that not long after Salazar left, a group of Dark wizards planned to launch an attack on Hogwarts…

This attack and the subsequent conflict were mentioned only briefly in Hogwarts: A History, but they represented a major Dark magic event with far-reaching consequences.

The war ultimately ended in a pyrrhic victory for Hogwarts and the Wizards’ Council, bringing significant changes to the Wizarding World, including the establishment of Azkaban as a Wizarding prison.

Wait — was Azkaban founded during that period?!

Although there was no specific time evidence, Evan felt that he seemed to have connected these things.

Firstly, shortly thereafter, possibly within a few years, Ravenclaw and Gryffindor would pass away due to illness.

Prior to this, Salazar Slytherin had already left Hogwarts. His departure and Ravenclaw’s serious illness made the Dark wizards who had been eyeing Hogwarts for a long time eager to make a move. They thought they saw an opportunity, so the Dark wizards attacked Hogwarts not long after Slytherin left.

One of the many changes and results of the war was the establishment of Azkaban, a prison to incarcerate Dark wizards.

Interestingly, the two individuals Evan overheard earlier mentioned that the remaining pure-blood families needed to unite to oppose a proposal by Ravenclaw and Slytherin in the Wizards’ Council, one of the contents of which included the establishment of Azkaban.

The establishment of this prison would greatly restrict wizards themselves, especially pure-blood wizards, meaning that they could no longer do whatever they wanted like before.

However, since Azkaban hadn’t actually been established during this period, it implied that their proposal had not been approved at the time.

Further deducing from this, could it be understood that the conspiracy of the pure-blood Wizarding families had succeeded?!

Through the incident of Rowena Ravenclaw’s Diadem being stolen, they tarnished her reputation and raised doubts about her, ultimately rejecting the proposal she spearheaded…

In addition, the war that took place at Hogwarts a few years later was probably another conspiracy.

Think about it: the existence of Hogwarts posed the greatest threat to the interests of the conservative pure-blood Wizarding families.

Those Dark wizards, they had no good reason to unite and attack the school.

Just like the reason why Voldemort finally prepared to attack Hogwarts, it was not because he disliked this place, nor because of differences in teaching philosophy, nor because he was a Dark wizard, but because Hogwarts had become the last base camp of the wizards who opposed him at that time.

That’s why he sent his army to launch the Battle of Hogwarts, destroy the school, and find Harry!

The reason for the attack a few years later was probably the same, a reshuffle of the forces in the Wizarding World.

After Salazar Slytherin’s departure and Rowena Ravenclaw’s grave illness, pure-blood families like the Malfoys, Peverells, and Blacks believed they saw an opportunity. In secret, they orchestrated a Dark wizard attack on Hogwarts, aiming to eliminate the school and restore the Wizarding World’s order to its prior state — one where knowledge was monopolized by the pure-blood families.

The Peverell boy outside had just mentioned the attack on Hogwarts.

They had done this kind of thing once in the early days of the establishment of the school, and it was not impossible for them to do it again.

This attack did reshuffle the forces in the Wizarding World. Hogwarts, the major pure-blood Wizarding families and the Wizards’ Council were all severely weakened. The Wizarding World entered a period of peaceful development until the outbreak of the Hundred Years’ War between England and France. The entire Wizarding World then entered another period of madness and great turmoil.

Furthermore, after the three Founders left one after another, Hogwarts entered the period when Helga Hufflepuff was in charge.

She became the first headmistress and led Hogwarts to growth amidst the turbulent times.

She made the educational method of the Wizarding School accepted by all wizards, and eventually it became an indispensable part of the Wizarding World.

The practice of recruiting a large number of Muggle-born students had also added fresh blood to the Wizarding World and accumulated strength for future changes.

Connecting all these fragmented historical events together, as well as the authentic history of magic, and the fragments of conversation he’d just heard from the two guys outside the door, Evan felt that he had gradually sorted out the development of the entire history and figured out everything.

That was not that hard, was it?!

The answers could be found as long as one understood the internal driving forces behind historical developments, the interest relations behind them and a few key issues.

He thought to himself that he might consider writing a book on the History of Magic after graduation — it would surely be a hit.

Now that he had figured out everything, the question was, what should he do?

Truthfully, Evan was deeply intrigued by this segment of history and the events surrounding it, but reason told him not to delve too deeply or get too involved.

To him, these were things that had happened a long time ago and were history.

He just needed to understand it, but he could not participate in it, let alone change it. Otherwise, countless troubles or even terrible disasters beyond imagination would be awaiting him.

No one could bear the consequences of changing history, and Evan had no desire to disappear inexplicably…

Therefore, he could not stop Salazar Slytherin from leaving Hogwarts, because this would cause an unimaginable chain reaction. This matter itself should have been written into the rules of time magic, and it would happen no matter how one tried to alter it.

But it was not like Evan couldn’t do anything. He could, for instance, return the Diadem to Rowena Ravenclaw. …
