Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

“Quiet, you are disturbing my magic experiment!” Salazar Slytherin’s cold voice echoed from outside the door.

The next second, the oak door was slammed open, but there was no one outside, only a cloud of black mist rolling towards them.

The mist churned violently, sweeping through the Great Hall with a terrifying aura, engulfing everyone inside in an instant.

Evan saw Nick scream with his mouth wide open, but didn’t hear any sound because the fog had already hit.

Then, everything in front of his eyes vanished, shrouded in darkness…

Evan felt that he could not see or hear anything, and there was only darkness in his world.

All the wizards who were fighting fiercely disappeared. Evan reached out and touched around. He didn’t know where Weasley and Nick, who were standing in front of him, had run off to. It seemed that this magic isolated everyone in deep darkness.

This was not mere trickery or illusion, but a magic beyond imagination.

At this moment, no one in the Great Hall could perceive the people or things around them, nor could they cast spells to fight.

They had lost their enemies — and were gradually losing their ability to use magic altogether.

Evan felt a force, a power in the darkness that was suppressing his magic.

It was a familiar feeling, yet different, as though he were experiencing this magic for the first time.

Within seconds, Evan found himself unable to move. His raised right hand was frozen in place.

He was utterly subdued — his magic, body, and even his will crushed.

In the endless darkness, it seemed that only the cold anger of Salazar Slytherin remained.

“So strong!” This kind of suppression was beyond imagination, befitting Salazar Slytherin.

Evan wasn’t sure if Slytherin had been this strong the last time he saw him.

At that time, Evan’s ability to sense magic hadn’t been as sharp as it was now, and his strength wasn’t as developed. Moreover, Slytherin hadn’t used magic then. Compared to the Salazar Slytherin who had suddenly appeared now, Evan was still far behind.

The more attuned he became to magic, the deeper his understanding of it grew, and the more he could sense Slytherin’s overwhelming power.

This kind of power was beyond the ordinary wizard’s scope. Trying to dispel the darkness now with a simple Lumos spell or summoning flames seemed futile.

Evan hadn’t figured out what magic to use, nor did he know how to do it.

At that moment, a bright flame suddenly appeared in front of his eyes.

It was as if a candle had suddenly been lit. The flame moved from far away to near, floated in front of Evan, and stayed there quietly.

It dispelled the darkness to some extent, and Evan saw that he was standing in a mass of black mist.

This feeling was like wearing sunglasses. All the wizards in the Great Hall stood frozen in place, their faces filled with panic.

They looked as though they had been petrified — but not quite.

Many people had their mouths open as if shouting, but no sound could be heard.

A few stronger wizards, who still had some control over their bodies and magic, were trying to break free of Slytherin’s restraint. Yet, as soon as the glow of their spells emerged, it was devoured by the darkness. …

“Salazar, you’re scaring our young guest,” said Hufflepuff gently. She put down her wand and waved to Evan. “Hello, Evan, it’s nice to see you again!”

Evan was stunned for a moment, then quickly shouted, “Hello, Professor, I’m glad to see you too!”

Sure enough, they had recognized him, but he didn’t know when they had figured it out.

Evan looked down at himself. He was still in the form of Annie Black; the effect of the Polyjuice Potion was still there. But the Founders’ control over Hogwarts was absolute. Perhaps the moment he stepped into the Headmaster’s office, they had already known.

At this moment, all Four Founders of Hogwarts were standing on the central platform.

Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and the newly arrived Salazar Slytherin.

He was wearing black robes and exuded an icy aura, even the air seemed to freeze around him.

“Hmph!” Salazar snorted. He glanced at Evan and ignored him. Instead, he turned around and looked at Ravenclaw. “Rowena, I need a reasonable explanation for what happened today. What on earth are you planning to do?!”

“Are you talking about Evan? I was the one who guided him back to this point in time. He is the new owner of the Time-Turner.”

“I know!” said Slytherin. “Of course this Mudblood got the Time-Turner again, so he showed up again. My question now is, why did he come back today? What happened today, the fight in the Great Hall before I showed up, were all part of your plan, right? In order to pass that proposal, you are using my students, and you clearly know that he…”

“Watch your words, Salazar, I’ve warned you before, don’t call my students Mudbloods!” said Gryffindor, interrupting Slytherin. “That Peverell boy is a complete fool, jumping headfirst into trouble without anyone urging him to! This has nothing to do with Rowena! Honestly, I’m starting to wonder what’s inside that boy’s head. He actually believed the nonsense spewed by that Malfoy kid and made a scene! And look at what he said — he accused Rowena of having her Diadem stolen! Preposterous! You’ve taught him for six years, Salazar. Didn’t you teach him to use his brain?”

“My Diadem was indeed stolen!” said Ravenclaw calmly.

“What?!” Gryffindor turned around and looked at her in shock. “Why didn’t you tell me about this…”

“What are you going to do?” Slytherin asked.

“I’m just a little worried about the future, and I want to learn more about it this way,” said Ravenclaw. “You all know we cannot use the Time-Turner ourselves. But to be honest, I’m more concerned about you, Salazar. Your aura has grown even stronger.”

“That’s right! Perhaps you should first explain what kind of magic you just used,” said Gryffindor immediately. Although his question was directed at Slytherin, he was still looking at the Diadem on Ravenclaw’s head. It was obvious that he was very concerned about the fact that it had been stolen.

“A Domain Magic, don’t tell me the rest of you are incapable of such magic…”

“We can do it, but we don’t have such a strong aura, Salazar. This is not a power mortals should wield,” Ravenclaw interjected, her keen eyes scrutinizing Slytherin. “Perhaps this is why you have been hiding from us for the past few months. You know very well what continuing to pursue these powers means. You must stop those messy magic experiments, otherwise, one day, you will become that kind of monster!”
