Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

There might be numerous comments about the Malfoy family, but the most memorable one was this: It is often said of the Malfoy family that you will never find one at the scene of the crime, though their fingerprints might be all over the guilty wand.

This ancient pure-blood Wizarding family venerated the ideology of pure-blood supremacy and enjoyed plotting schemes, but they never showed their faces.

Rather than orchestrating schemes personally, the Malfoy family preferred having others do the donkey work and take the responsibility for failure.

As a result, throughout the long history of magic, you’d never find a Malfoy in a position of power, but among the people behind those in power, the Malfoys were always present. They were the real puppet masters behind the scenes.

It was precisely because of this that the Malfoy family had been able to survive countless wars, fights and conspiracies, and ultimately continue to this day.

While the influence of most pure-blood Wizarding families had declined significantly, the Malfoys had remained relatively unaffected.

Even in later generations, the Malfoy family maintained considerable influence in terms of wealth and power.

The huge family enterprises allowed them to control the economic lifeline of the Ministry of Magic, and the family’s huge wealth ensured that they had an influence in the Ministry of Magic that could not be underestimated. Even any law that the Ministry of Magic wanted to pass had to get their consent.

Behind every major event in the Wizarding World, there was the shadow of the Malfoy family, either supporting or opposing…

Not only in the British Wizarding World, the Malfoy family’s influence had once expanded to most of the world along with the country’s expansion.

It seemed likely that what was happening now was no different.

In an instant, Evan felt he understood everything. In order to counter a bill proposed by the Four Founders of Hogwarts, the Malfoy family had designed another conspiracy, but they did not seem to want to carry it out personally.

Needless to say, the consequences of the failure of this conspiracy would definitely be very dangerous, and they were not willing to bear it.

And the idiot from the Peverell family outside the door was probably the scapegoat they were looking for this time.

And the girl next to him, Evan turned his head and glanced at the unconscious Annie Black, who was also a victim and became a bargaining chip of the Malfoy family.

As for who she would eventually marry — whether it was one of the guys outside or someone else — it seemed to Evan that either outcome would be unfortunate.

“As long as you keep your word and give Annie to me, I’ll do whatever you want!”

“Very well. You lot, move farther away and make sure no one else gets close!” Malfoy ordered. Lowering his voice further, Evan had to press his ear against the classroom door to hear what he was saying. “Listen, Clive, this is a collaboration. We have before us a joint opportunity to strike at Hogwarts’ power. I trust your family wouldn’t want to miss this.”

“What exactly are you planning to do? Bring those Dark wizards and desperadoes into Hogwarts to question the safety of the school? We did it last time, and it was not a good idea. You saw that Professor Slytherin knocked all those people down with just one spell…”

“Yes, he is very strong, but he is not our target this time,” said Malfoy, somewhat unnaturally.

“Who is that? You just said yourself that Professor Gryffindor and Professor Slytherin are equally powerful, while Lady Ravenclaw’s true strength is hard to gauge since no one has seen her in action,” Clive analyzed. “Hmm, Professor Hufflepuff should be the weakest. I’ve never seen her get angry. If you find someone to attack her, it should be successful, but don’t forget that their family has the bloodline of the Ancient Seer. No one can guarantee whether Professor Hufflepuff has inherited this talent. She might know about it in advance.”

“Stop analyzing, Clive. I never said we should attack the Four Founders of the school. That’s an impossible task,” said Malfoy. “Also, don’t mention the last attack anymore. This is the last time we talk about it. That was the stupid behavior of the Dark wizards themselves. It has nothing to do with us. If someone hears it, it will easily cause misunderstanding. Our target this time is Lady Ravenclaw. Trust me — it will succeed.”

Things seemed to be getting more and more interesting. What were they going to do to Ravenclaw?

Evan leaned in closer. Their conversation gave him a clearer understanding of the situation a thousand years ago. These students from pure-blood Wizarding families appeared obedient while at Hogwarts, yet secretly plotted schemes detrimental to both the school and its founders. Truly, it was in line with the style of the pure-blood Wizarding families!

Salazar Slytherin should really come over and take a look. This was the kind of good student he valued.

However, this seemed to be the character of Slytherin, who liked conspiracy, power and strength.

He valued these things very much. If he knew, he might even feel pleased…

Thinking about it this way, these plots didn’t seem all that surprising anymore!

Even a thousand years later, Draco Malfoy was doing something similar, plotting a conspiracy against Hogwarts and Dumbledore.

But he was not as smart as his ancestors, and he actually obeyed Voldemort’s orders and prepared to take action himself.

How stupid! This was not the Malfoys’ style!

“We don’t need to use magic. We only need to do one thing, which is enough to ruin Lady Ravenclaw’s reputation and destroy the prestige of the Ravenclaw family. By then, the proposal they advocated will naturally not be passed, and there will be no room for recovery,” said Malfoy. “Listen, this is a top-secret piece of information about Lady Ravenclaw, known only to our family…”

“Tell me, what is it?”

“You know that her daughter ran away from home some time ago, right?” Malfoy asked.

“I heard that she eloped with a Mudblood because of a love affair!” Clive’s voice was obviously more disdainful. “The Baron even went after her, that idiot! I really don’t understand why he likes her. Wait, you don’t want to talk about this, do you? Indeed, the girl’s background is unclear. She is not as smart as Lady Ravenclaw, and her magical talent is also very poor. She doesn’t look like a pure-blood witch at all. On the contrary, she gets along well with the Mudbloods in Gryffindor House. I’ve heard many rumors that she is the illegitimate daughter of Lady Ravenclaw. There is no way to confirm whether she is pure-blood. In my opinion, her father might very well be a Mudblood too…”

“It’s not what you’re thinking. Helena’s background can’t be used against her. Professor Gryffindor has already claimed that Helena is his daughter, and it’s been verified by others as well. There’s nothing we can say about that. To be honest, there’s clearly an ambiguous relationship between him and Lady Ravenclaw — anyone with eyes can see it.”

“Why don’t they get married then?”

“Marriage? Have you forgotten what the horrible blood magic of the Ravenclaw family is? Why do you think Lady Ravenclaw is called the wisest witch? She has no emotions at all. It makes no difference to her whether she is married or not, whether Helena is her daughter or not…”

Malfoy didn’t continue on this line of thought but changed the topic instead.

“Let’s not talk about this. I’m not interested in figuring out the private feelings between Professor Gryffindor and Lady Ravenclaw. But right now, there’s indeed an opportunity in front of us.”
