Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

After Helena finished speaking, there was a long silence, broken only by the crackling of the campfire.

“I love you, Helena, you know that!” The Baron said affectionately.

“If you truly love me, then leave here immediately,” said Helena Ravenclaw softly, unmoved.

“No, you must come back with me. Lady Ravenclaw wants to see you. She’s sick. Very sick.”

“My mother…” Helena took a deep breath. For a moment, she seemed hesitant, but she quickly regained her composure. “For a witch of her level, death is not the end. I am very sorry for my mother. I have done something unfilial and unjust, but I will never return to Hogwarts. My mother and the other three professors have their own lofty ideals, I don’t. And I don’t have the ability to inherit that school or their will. It is a cage full of pain for me. Now I am finally free. As long as there is… one day, I will become wiser than my mother and more renowned than her.”

“Enough!” The Baron roared suddenly and walked out from the shadow of the fire.

Evan saw the Baron’s face twisted in rage, his expression terrifying. The Baron was very angry.

“I don’t believe a word you’re saying! It’s all lies! I gave you a chance, but you still refuse to tell me the truth. I know why you left Hogwarts. Before I came here, Malfoy told me everything. Someone saw you with a man — a filthy Mudblood! You eloped together!” He panted and walked step by step to Helena, “Tell me his name, Helena, tell me who he is, I’m going to kill him!”

“I already told you — I’m alone,” said Helena angrily. “Do you know why I despise you? It’s because of your violent temper and your hopelessly low intelligence. You don’t truly love me. You just want my mother’s and Professor Gryffindor’s support. Even if I were to marry a Muggle, I would never choose you.”

“Shut up!”

“Don’t think I don’t know, Baron, that you’re jealous of me. How ridiculous — you envy the things I see as burdens, the things I’ve desperately tried to cast off. You envy me as the heir to the Ravenclaw family, envy that my mother is one of the Four Founders of Hogwarts, envy my power, envy everything you can never have. And now you envy my freedom,” Helena continued, her voice sharp, “envy…”

Her voice was cut short as the Baron drew his dagger and thrust it into her chest.

The blade was very sharp and took Helena’s life almost instantly. She didn’t even have the chance to scream in pain.

Helena stared wide-eyed at the Baron, her gaze filled with shock, disbelief, hatred, and a hint of questioning — all mingled in a storm of emotions as her life slipped away.

In front of her, the Baron held the dagger tightly, using all his strength. His eyes were red and the muscles on his face were extremely distorted.

Helena’s blood splattered all over him, and the red blood almost soaked his robes.

The Baron now radiated an indescribable madness — terrifying and commanding dread.

Evan held his breath and watched the murder happening in the open space below.

It all happened so quickly. So quickly that he didn’t even have time to process or react before Helena was gone.

“She probably didn’t feel any pain,” Evan thought to himself.

Helena fell heavily backwards, and the Baron stood there alone. The firelight stretched his shadow long against the ground.

After a long time, the madness and ferocity on his face gradually faded away, replaced by a kind of pain and dullness.

With heavy breathing, he seemed to finally realize what he had done, and tears flowed uncontrollably.

In the open space, the only sound was the Baron’s crying.

“He must have truly loved Helena,” Evan thought again.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t have cried so sadly after killing Helena on impulse.

But this love was really a heavy burden. …

In the open space, the Baron, filled with remorse, hugged Helena tightly, crying so sadly.

Then, without any warning, he picked up the dagger again and ended his own life, plunging it into himself.

And so, the two of them died just like that. Evan watched the Baron’s body slowly fall beside Helena’s. It was impossible for them to be together when they were alive, but after death, they were together in this way.

All that remained for future generations were two skeletons intertwined, leaving behind mysteries to ponder. But Evan knew this was not the end of their story.

Death was really just a beginning. In the long millennium that followed, the souls of the two would continue to wander around Hogwarts, becoming the ghosts of Ravenclaw House and Slytherin House. The cold Hogwarts Castle and Ravenclaw House Tower were the cages that Helena had tried every means to escape from before her death. For the Baron, his soul would be doomed to an eternity of suffering.

Leaving might have been even more unbearable. …

A soft sigh echoed in Evan’s ears — it seemed to be the voice of Lady Ravenclaw herself.

The next second, Evan, in his form as a raven, moved once more.

He flew down from the branch and landed next to Helena’s face, looking at her closely.

Then, spreading his wings, the raven ascended into the night sky, soaring along the towering tree.

When the moon was visible again, a hollow appeared in the tree trunk, and the Diadem of Ravenclaw lay quietly there.

This was the Diadem in its complete state, and the sapphire emitted a soft glow in the moonlight.

Above the sapphire was the main body of the Diadem, shaped like a raven with its wings spread wide. Unlike the silvery appearance Evan had seen before, this Diadem gleamed with a pale golden hue, radiating a bright and captivating brilliance. The glow of the sapphire melded seamlessly with the soft gold of the Diadem, creating a harmonious interplay with the distant moonlight.

The words beneath the Diadem were clearly visible: “Wit beyond measure is man’s greatest treasure.”

Equally vivid was the aura of magic surrounding the Diadem. Earlier, as Evan approached the great tree, he had sensed an unusual power from afar. At the time, he thought it emanated from the tree itself. Only now did he realize that the magic came from the Diadem of Ravenclaw. This was no ordinary magic artifact — it was a high-grade legendary magic item imbued with immense power.

In later generations, what Voldemort and Evan found was just a defective product, without much power, only symbolic significance.

Now, what appeared before Evan was the complete Diadem, the true Crown of Wisdom!
