Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Evan wasn’t supposed to encounter anyone, but there was no time to avoid it!

He suddenly stopped, staring in surprise at the young girl who had just walked up.

She was wearing an oddly styled ball gown, but it didn’t look ridiculous; instead, it gave off a stunning impression.

At the very least, Evan’s eyes lit up. This was an exceptionally beautiful girl.

And there was something about her demeanor that was hard to ignore.

She seemed to have left the banquet halfway and wanted to find a deserted place to rest. She was also surprised to see Evan.

In an instant, the expression on her face turned into alertness.

Very alert, huh? Evan thought. This isn’t someone who’d be easily deceived.

Somehow, he felt that this girl was dangerous!

She was about the same age as himself, around fifteen or sixteen, and her golden hair was cut short, which was rare. Not to mention in the Middle Ages, even in later times it was a very avant-garde behavior. It took considerable courage to have such a hairstyle. The girl’s face was very delicate. Looking at her carefully, Evan felt as if he had seen her somewhere before.

Yes, he must have seen her somewhere.

There was an undeniable sense of familiarity — not the kind of familiarity you feel when dazzled by a beautiful girl, but something deeper…

“Who are you?” She looked at Evan suspiciously and asked warily, “Why are you in the castle?”

Her voice carried a mixture of resolve and gentleness, and her right hand naturally rested on her waist.

It was only then that Evan noticed that what was in her right hand was not a wand, but a long sword!

A sword!

How interesting! A witch with a long sword. Could she be a Gryffindor student?

However, since she dared to carry a sword with her, even when attending a banquet, and her first reaction after meeting a suspicious stranger was not to take out the wand, but to prepare to draw the sword, this sword should not be a simple decoration. Her swordsmanship must be very powerful, and she would be a tough girl in close combat.

Of course, there was also the possibility that she just thought it was cool. Perhaps wielding a sword was this era’s way of showing off.

“Answer my question, who are you?”

“I’m…” Evan paused, unsure of what to say. “Er … I’m a student at Hogwarts.”

His current position was very awkward. How should he explain to her?!

Claiming he was from the future was out of the question — it was forbidden. Evan didn’t want to cause himself any more trouble! He always felt that this girl looked familiar. He must have seen her portrait somewhere. A witch whose portrait could be passed down to later generations must be very extraordinary.

Telling her everything might drag him into another dangerous scheme, altering something he shouldn’t.

Even though his return this time was allowed by the rules of time, every detail held the potential for unforeseen consequences.

This was the bad thing about time magic. Any action taken in the past could have a huge impact on the future.

Right now, Evan was altering time; from the perspective of the future, his actions were shaping history…

In view of this, this sudden appearance of the girl was a trouble.

Evan didn’t plan to reveal his identity, so it would be better for him to leave as soon as possible.

As for communication, he shouldn’t have any intersection with a witch who lived a thousand years ago.

Evan planned to leave, or simply subdue this girl. Stupefy would solve the problem.

Afterward, he could inform Rowena Ravenclaw and the others and let them handle it.

“You’re lying. I’ve never seen you in school,” said the girl, drawing her silver sword and pointing it at Evan. She said word by word, “Intruder, tell me your name and origin. Don’t try to deceive me, or you will regret it.”

Evan didn’t draw his wand. Instead, he blinked and focused on the sword in her hand. At the tip of the blade, he noticed something — the crest of the Black family!

This girl was from the Black family — or more accurately, one of their ancestors.

His memory instantly flashed forward, and Evan remembered where he had seen her portrait. In the Black family’s collection of books, he had read this girl’s magic research notes, and the description of the damaging Transfiguration spells in it had benefited him a lot.

She was probably a second or third generation member of the Black family tree. What was her name again…?

Evan couldn’t remember, and now was not the time to recall it. The girl extended her sword, the tip pressing under his chin.

“Listen, I am indeed a student of Hogwarts, from Gryffindor House, and I know who you are, Miss Black from Slytherin House!” said Evan quickly, taking advantage of her surprise and relaxation to pull out his wand, “It’s a pleasure to meet you, but I have pressing matters to attend to. No time for a pleasant chat now. Let’s catch up another time!”

With a flick of his wand, he swiftly cast three spells in succession.

“Intruder, you know me!” she exclaimed, startled. Her sword moved swiftly, intercepting Evan’s spells.

What did Evan see? She actually used this sword to dissolve his magic. What was going on?

This sword was not an ordinary long sword. Its material should be a rare magic metal that had the property of absorbing magic.

This was undoubtedly a product of alchemical transmutation. Evan could think of several methods to achieve this.

But regardless of the method, successfully creating such an artifact was incredibly difficult, requiring a substantial amount of materials like gold, silver, and brass as raw inputs.

Gold, in particular, was the cornerstone of alchemical transformations. To forge enough of it into a sword of this size…

Evan did a quick mental calculation and could only think, Do these pure-blood Wizarding families really have to flaunt their wealth like this?!

This was not just a sword, it was practically a mobile treasure hoard!

“Who are you? Since you know me, let me think … which wizard family you are from…”

Evan didn’t wait for her to finish. He kept waving his wand, unleashing a continuous series of attacks, forcing her to retreat.

If her sword could absorb magic, then let it absorb!

Once, twice, three times, the girl kept swinging her sword and retreating. Her swordsmanship was very ordinary, and she was frantically defending.

Relying on the properties of the sword’s material, she managed to hold on, but that was almost the end. Evan was not going to give her the chance to take out her wand.

After casting a jinx, Evan directed his wand downward. The ground behind the girl suddenly sank.

“Ah!” The girl staggered backwards and lost her balance. Evan’s Stupefy followed immediately .

“Done!” said Evan, wiping the sweat off his brow. The fighting skills of young wizards of this era were indeed better than those of his time.

Looking at the unconscious girl, he considered using the Memory Charm to modify her memory but decided to leave it to the Four Founders to handle.

“Sorry, but you’ll have to stay here for a while,” said Evan, picking up her sword. “For the sake of my relationship with Sirius, you…”

Just then, a loud noise echoed downstairs, and footsteps sounded on the third floor.

“Annie, are you up there?” a boy shouted.

“You fool, stop yelling so loudly! Lady Ravenclaw is giving a speech in the hall and mustn’t be disturbed,” another boy scolded. “If Professor Gryffindor hears you, he’ll tear you apart. Annie must be upstairs… Ah, I think I saw her! Let’s hurry and find her!”
