Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

These things sounded troublesome and dangerous!

Ravenclaw’s words reminded Evan of the Titan of Time and the things Nicolas Flamel had once told him.

First, in the Great Whirlpool, the Titan of Time revealed to Evan the mysteries of time, the origin of the world, and the long-standing war between the creatures on Earth and the Old Gods. From the Titan, Evan learned about the concept of “Creation” magic.

This concept of magic is highly abstract, including time, space, life, emotions, order, dreams and so on. No one would deny the existence of these things. They affect everyone all the time. The magic that can change and control these areas is “Creation” magic, a profoundly advanced and complex field of magic.

Wizards could not even use this magic directly, and could only grasp it through powerful magic items.

The depth and complexity of “Creation” magic far surpass most people’s imagination.

Take time magic as an example. In the eyes of normal people, time is a straight line extending from the past to the future. But from the perspective of magic, time is much more complicated. It is not a straight line, but an intricate web. It is like a huge spider web, interwoven with countless uncertain timelines. Events that can occur on different timelines are not identical. Ultimately, only one timeline is selected as the correct one, while the others are discarded.

Based on this, a small change to the past and present may lead to earth-shaking changes in the future.

But no matter how it changes, in this huge time network, some things are bound to happen. Things that are included in the rules are like nodes between different timelines. No matter which one you choose, you will eventually pass through these nodes.

After Evan traveled through time and space to this world, he returned to Hogwarts a thousand years ago. It became inevitable that he would complete the instructions of the Four Founders, find the Time-Turner, and so on, which were the time nodes he had to pass through.

As for why Evan came to this world, the Titan of Time had told him that it was because the Titan who controlled the power of space made him come here. …

This involved another Titan and the rules of space magic. In any case, Evan’s ability to travel through time was not a coincidence, but the result of magical intervention.

That was why Ravenclaw said that, to gain a chance to defeat the Old Gods and reseal them, the Titans altered the rules, enabling Evan to come here as the only chance.

Thinking further, why did the Titans choose Evan for this opportunity?

Evan didn’t know much about this aspect. Based on the magic knowledge and theory he currently possessed, there might be a Titan who could make accurate predictions and divination.

That Titan chose him, and thus he traveled through time!

These things remained to be verified later. One thing that needed to be noted was that prophecy and time were two completely different branches of magic.

In the realm of time magic, one might witness countless future events. However, these timelines and the events within them are uncertain. The only definitive points are the time nodes that existed within the rules. Yet, unless someone personally experiences them, no one — not even the Titan of Time — could determine these time nodes with certainty.

That was why he had said that traversing timelines could eventually lead to losing oneself. …

Unlike the intricacies of time, prophecy and divination were about finding out in some way what was bound to happen.

Since Evan was chosen as the “chance” to stop the evil gods and traveled to this time, all that was left was for mindful wizards to find this opportunity through divination!

There were two prophecies involved here, at least, two that Evan knew so far.

One of them was the prophecy of Helga Hufflepuff. She had the bloodline of ancient Seers and could see visions of what would happen in the future. Ravenclaw just said that Hufflepuff had seen that the evil god corresponding to the statue would come into this world.

This was the main reason that prompted the Four Founders to leave behind secret treasures as preparations. To ensure these items would be discovered precisely when needed to prevent the evil god’s descent, without being uncovered prematurely, they required Hufflepuff’s prophetic guidance.

The importance and impact of a true prophet or successful diviner were simply beyond imagination.

But in reality, the number of true prophets and diviners had always been exceedingly rare.

Every prophet had a name and reputation, often recorded in the early histories of both wizards and Muggles.

There were probably only a few people who could be called ancient Seers.

Compared with the ancient Seers, there were more diviners, but the number of reliable diviners was very small. Most of them were like Professor Trelawney — dubious at best. While they might occasionally prove useful in critical moments, they mostly speak nonsense the rest of the time.

If Evan and Harry were to take Trelawney’s words seriously, they might as well find a rope and hang themselves for a quicker end.

Unlike Professor Trelawney, Hufflepuff was undoubtedly a reliable diviner.

Ravenclaw described Hufflepuff as the most powerful diviner she had ever seen in her life, so the prediction and divination she made about the evil god were undoubtedly accurate.

This was the only prophecy related to the evil god that Evan knew of so far. The Four Founders were involved, making numerous preparations that subtly altered the world Evan was familiar with.

The other prophecy came from what Evan heard from Nicolas Flamel. It was the terrible omen Nicolas saw in a dream the night he obtained The Book of Abraham.

The ancient prophet Abraham chose Nicolas Flamel as his successor and showed him the terrible scene of the Last Judgment.

Although this was a distant memory (from Chapter 731), Evan still remembered it clearly.

Because the scene that Nicolas Flamel described to him was too terrible: At the Doomsday Judgment, the evil gods came and the whole world became silent … no screams of anger, pain, or joy, and no soft breathing … even the almost imperceptible sounds of heart beating, blinking eyes, or plant rooting were all gone.

Death ruled this world, and all life was gone!

In Nicolas Flamel’s horrible vision, all he saw were corpses, piled up layer upon layer, filling up the deepest ravines and higher than the highest mountains. The ground beneath his feet could no longer nurture life, having lost this possibility forever.

The evil gods destroyed everything, and death became the main theme of this world.

In the midst of boundless despair, the ancient gods stood on the bodies of the whole world triumphantly.

Those corpses and broken flesh and blood were slowly decomposing and becoming part of their twisted bodies.

This was the horrifying vision Nicolas Flamel had seen, the Doomsday Judgment that the Raven’s Claw had always claimed was coming. …

It was the omen foreseen by the ancient prophet Abraham, and to this day, it remained the most detailed description Evan had heard of what would happen after the evil gods’ descent.
