Reborn As Super Heiress

Capítulo 1833: Chapter 1736: Benefit Performance

Xie Yuxing knew that Huo Sining was helping her, but after Huo Sining’s commotion, she couldn’t find the words to refuse. In her heart, she remembered Huo Sining’s kindness, and couldn’t help but reach out to hold Huo Sining’s hand, sighing:

“Ningning, I’ll accept this endorsement you gave me, but there’s something I must make clear. I became friends with you not for these things; I truly admire and respect your character, and hope to be close friends with you. So, this kind of thing, just this once, will not be repeated. I don’t want money and interests tainting the pure relationship between us. It would only add annoyance and burden to me, making it very awkward when facing you in the future.”

Hearing Xie Yuxing’s words, Huo Sining realized her sudden decision was a bit reckless. Xie Yuxing was different from people like Su Qingqing and Bai Yishan.

This woman has been able to stand firm in the entertainment industry for so many years through real skill, naturally having her own pride and dignity. She doesn’t depend on anyone, and that’s why she can stand strong and live for herself in the industry.

If it were Su Qingqing, she would definitely happily accept her goodwill, and then continue to hang out with her without any worries, being a carefree person waiting for the day to end;

But Xie Yuxing and her relationship is more like a gentleman’s friendship as placid as water. She can step up when a friend is in trouble, but would never easily accept what seems like pitying charity.

Thinking of this, Huo Sining also felt a bit awkward, she looked at Xie Yuxing with some embarrassment and softly said, “Sorry, Sister Xing, I… I thought…”

Xie Yuxing smiled at Huo Sining, waved her hand and said, “No need to say more, I know you want to help me. In fact, I do look forward to having a chance like this. Your endorsement carries enough weight and comes at just the right time. If I really refused, that would be ungrateful. With your endorsement, I estimate I’ll be quite busy in the days to come.”

Speaking of the upcoming busy times, Xie Yuxing’s eyes and eyebrows were filled with smiles. It seems she is full of expectation for the small peak in her career next year.

Seeing that Xie Yuxing was not bothered by her reckless behavior, Huo Sining finally breathed a sigh of relief, she smiled and said, “Isn’t it good to be busy? Make more money while we’re young, and when we get old, we don’t have to worry about anything and can travel the world together.”

Xie Yuxing gave Huo Sining a sideways glance and said, “Travel the world? I might indeed have to wait until I’m old for that, but you can start now. You’ve just donated three billion; with that money, you and your descendants can travel the world satisfactorily!”

Huo Sining knew Xie Yuxing was teasing her, and quickly raised her hands in mock surrender, “But haven’t I donated it all? Look, now I’m penniless, almost a pauper. If I don’t work hard, I won’t even have money for my son’s milk in the future.”

Xie Yuxing looked at Huo Sining as if she was a fool, her eyes clearly saying: You say you’re broke, but I don’t believe you!

After confirming that Xie Yuxing accepted the endorsement from Jade Beauty for the next year, both Zheng Lixiang and Shangguan Zhuo congratulated Xie Yuxing.

A top-tier endorsement means a fee of up to ten million. Such an endorsement is something even Shangguan Zhuo only has one of, and that’s with an international big brand.

With such moves, Huo Sining surprised Shangguan Zhuo. However, considering this girl once donated tens of billions on a whim, it didn’t seem so strange after all.

Given the girl’s habit of breaking conventions, her offering a ten-million endorsement to compensate Xie Yuxing is not surprising. After all, in the fraud storm, Xie Yuxing stood up for her and said many kind words.

Nevertheless, Shangguan Zhuo was greatly looking forward to Xie Yuxing having such an opportunity and fortune.

The endorsement from Jade Beauty was heavily invested by CCTV, occupying more than ten seconds during prime time. With Xie Yuxing taking on this endorsement, her exposure rate in the future is bound to be high, and by then, she might directly rise to second or even first-tier status.

It seems, the coming year in the entertainment industry will be yet another one of upheavals, full of overt and covert battles.

The charity performance began with Shangguan Zhuo performing martial arts on stage. His mastery of the Wing Chun Fist was smooth and graceful, very pleasing to the eye, making many of his female fans in the audience starry-eyed.

Xie Yuxing collaborated with a few other actresses to sing several songs, and there were also staff members performing skits.

When it came to Huo Sining, it was naturally magic. Huo Sining had pre-arranged for Xiao Fan and a few other children to come out with her, letting these kids join in, although they were just handing over props. But the kids were all excited, clearly eager to watch Huo Sining perform magic up close.

Huo Sining’s magic was as brilliant as ever, from roses to doves to grand person swaps, each segment received lots of applause and cheers from the audience.

And amid these cheers, Heitan was finally called out.

This time, Heitan wasn’t in a cage but came out holding a cradle, his form taller and more imposing than during the Spring Festival Gala, surprising the audience greatly.

In the cradle held by this big guy was a child, sleeping peacefully.

No one expected Huo Sining to have such a trick. Everyone was curiously looking at the child in the cradle, wondering what Huo Sining was up to.

Huo Sining smiled as she took the microphone handed by the host and slowly began to speak:

“After the Qingya earthquake, I did not leave because the proximity I had with death and the feeling of despair will never be forgotten.”

“Various wreckages, uncleaned bloodstains, disabled people with broken limbs, and victims struggling on the brink of death. All these made me feel the terrors of a disaster.”

“However, during the short ten-day rescue operation, I also experienced human resilience and hope: family reunions, lives saved, and countless touching details that made me deeply feel how selfless and great love is.”

“The child sleeping in this cradle was one I followed the rescue team to save from the West City Reservoir. He is only one year old but has already experienced life and death. His mother, to save him, lay on top of him, bearing the crushing weight of rubble on her own just to ensure her child lived.”

“When we found him, by the side of that great mother, there was a very old Nokia phone with an edited but unsent message that read as follows!”

With that, Huo Sining waved her hand, and an old Nokia phone appeared in her hand.
