Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1832: Chapter 1735: Endorsement

A week later, the charity performance arrived as scheduled, and the crew of ”The Legend of the Mermaid” reunited after a series of ups and downs.

The post-production of the film was still ongoing, but according to Zheng Lixiang, the film’s release date had been moved up to Valentine’s Day.

Because Huo Sining mentioned the charity performance on Weibo, when it began, the venue was packed, even the corridors were full of people.

Many people couldn’t get tickets to the charity performance, but still traveled from afar by car or plane, just to donate to the disaster area.

Even Zheng Lixiang hadn’t anticipated that the event would be such a success, but when she saw countless audience members holding up signs with Huo Sining’s name, she realized that most of them had likely come for Huo Sining.

Shangguan Zhuo and Xie Yuxing also came. They both knew what had happened to Huo Sining recently. To clarify the facts for her, Xie Yuxing had openly supported Huo Sining on Weibo, even facing backlash from netizens, and as a result, lost several endorsement deals.

It was only in the past few days that Huo Sining learned from Liu Cheng about the incidents in the entertainment circle concerning Xie Yuxing, making her feel both moved and heartbroken.

She was the type of person who clearly distinguished between gratitude and grudges; she had to repay Xie Yuxing in some way to feel at ease. So, backstage, Huo Sining couldn’t help but bring it up to Xie Yuxing.

”Next year’s Jade Beauty product endorsement? Are you serious?”

Upon hearing that Huo Sining wanted her to be the product spokesperson for Jade Beauty next year, Xie Yuxing was surprised and widened her eyes. Even Zheng Lixiang and Shangguan Zhuo couldn’t help but come over, curiously asking about the situation.

Huo Sining nodded: ”Last year and this year, I shot the ads for Jade Beauty myself, but audiences might experience aesthetic fatigue. So, the company had the idea to switch to a new spokesperson to create a different style of advertisement.”

”I’m still too young, my face is a bit tender, and many products don’t quite fit on me. But Sister Xing, you’re insightful and mature, and wearing jade jewelry on you will definitely complement each other, enhancing the product’s appeal and encouraging more women to buy our products.”

Huo Sining’s explanation was reasonable, and Shangguan Zhuo nodded in agreement. Zheng Lixiang nodded repeatedly, saying:

”You’re right. I’ve seen your ads; they are beautiful, but too ethereal. Ordinary people can’t pull off those accessories, they simply can’t manage it. Choosing Xie Yuxing to shoot the ads is indeed a good choice; she loves jade jewelry, and her temperament matches with jade.”

Xie Yuxing, however, was a bit hesitant. She knew the reasons Huo Sining just gave weren’t nonsense, but feared Huo Sining chose her more because of their close relationship during this time.

Xie Yuxing was aware that Huo Sining probably knew about her losing endorsements recently, hence offering this endorsement was a way to compensate her.

Feeling uneasy, Xie Yuxing looked at Zheng Lixiang and Shangguan Zhuo before speaking:

”Ningning, maybe you should find someone else. My influence is still too insignificant, and my renown isn’t high enough. Having me endorse might not do much for promoting your products.”

Huo Sining saw Xie Yuxing’s expression and understood what she was resisting. She couldn’t help but smile and said:

”Sister Xing, I know why you’re rejecting me, but I want to say, you’re really overthinking. You’ve been in the entertainment industry for many years and have countless hidden fans. You just lack an opportunity to shine.”

”Moreover, you’re willing to sacrifice for me; if I fail to help you when you’re in trouble, wouldn’t I be too heartless? Do you really want your sincere friend to be ruthless and indifferent?”

”It’s just an endorsement, don’t feel burdened. I believe in your ability, Sister Xing; you won’t disappoint me!”

Xie Yuxing wasn’t someone to be coy. She was straightforward and didn’t like roundabout ways. Hearing Huo Sining say this, she finally relaxed and nodded with a smile:

”Then I’ll accept it. If it turns out to be ineffective, don’t blame me. As for the endorsement fee, forget about it. I know your product, getting to endorse for your company is all benefits for me; I’m the one taking advantage of you.”

Upon hearing this, Huo Sining immediately put on a stern face and replied displeased:

”If I made you work for free, imagine how people would laugh at me. Furthermore, you still need to thrive in this industry. If people know you’re working for me without pay, how could you charge for future endorsements?”

Xie Yuxing was about to say something else, but Huo Sining wouldn’t listen and waved her hand: ”If I don’t hire you, I’ll have to spend the same amount of effort and money hiring others. After all, one should keep the profits within the family. Business is business, friendship is friendship; they don’t conflict!”

Saying this, Huo Sining turned to Yang Suxin and said: ”Su Xin, have your company contact my agent Liu Cheng; let the endorsement fee be calculated at the A-level. The specifics should be decided by lawyers.”

Yang Suxin had been worried about Xie Yuxing losing endorsements recently, and hearing Huo Sining say that the endorsement fee would be calculated at the A-level, her eyes brightened, and she quickly nodded and ran out to call the company to report the good news.

Meanwhile, upon hearing about the A-level endorsement fee, Xie Yuxing widened her eyes and said, displeased: ”You rascal, you’re being ridiculous. An A-level endorsement fee? I’m just a C-list celebrity at best; are you mocking me?”

Huo Sining, unbothered, cheekily replied with a playful tone: ”What mocking you? I call it shifting trouble. You have no idea how sick I am of those ad endorsements. Every quarter, I have to shoot new commercials, and I despise posing for the camera. Now that you’re willing to take over, I’m relieved of a big burden. Good sister, please have mercy on me, can you stand to see me enduring such torment?”

Seeing Huo Sining pleading with folded hands, her big eyes watery and pitifully looking at her, as if the Jade Beauty endorsement was some beast, Xie Yuxing couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

”You and your nonsense.”
