Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1101: Chapter 1097: Five Elements Generate and Overcome One Another

Seeing the situation, Huo Sining breathed a sigh of relief and no longer paid attention to what was happening over there. She turned around, reaching out to tightly hold Qibao, afraid that the little guy would get separated from her on the street. Lowering her head, she noticed the little guy playing with the Oily Green Species Taotie she had bought, looking as if he couldn’t bear to part with it.

Huo Sining couldn’t help but find it amusing: ”Qibao, do you like this little goat so much?”

Qibao nodded: ”The goat is pretty.”

Huo Sining shook her head with a smile: ”Where’s the beauty in this pitch-black thing? You haven’t seen good stuff yet. When we get back, I’ll take you to my basement, and you’ll realize how worthless this thing in your hand is!”

Hearing Huo Sining’s words, Qibao instantly became anxious: ”No, the goat is valuable. If you don’t believe it, sister, Qibao will show you now!”

As he spoke, the little guy muttered something under his breath, and the Spiritual Pearl on his forehead suddenly emerged.

Seeing Qibao actually summon the Spiritual Pearl, Huo Sining hurriedly whispered to stop him: ”Qibao, don’t mess around, we’re on the street!”

Saying this, Huo Sining instinctively tried to shield Qibao behind her, worried that the bead on his forehead would attract attention.

”It’s fine, sister, these humans can’t see it!” The little guy said with a cheeky grin, showing Huo Sining his two little tiger teeth.

It was then that Huo Sining remembered that the bead could not be seen by anyone other than those who also possessed a Spiritual Pearl.

Even so, Huo Sining still felt a bit worried. The world is full of extraordinary people, and many understand all sorts of mysterious and strange things. Who knows if there might be someone on this street who can see strange phenomena? So, to be safe, Huo Sining thought it would be best to be careful.

Thus, she turned back to grab Qibao, but as she turned around, she was stunned.

Qibao was holding the Taotie in his hand. This thing was originally sold to him, so even if it really broke or got lost, Huo Sining wouldn’t really care.

But as she turned back, she saw the Taotie in Qibao’s hand emitting a faint yellow glow, the soft yellow light harmonizing with the yellow gleam of the small guy’s forehead pearl, complementing each other wonderfully.

Seeing this, Huo Sining felt a sudden surprise and leaned down to ask in a low voice: ”Qibao, what are you doing?”

Qibao looked up at Huo Sining and asked, ”Didn’t you say the goat isn’t valuable, sister? Qibao is showing you.”

Upon hearing this, Huo Sining felt like a monk unable to grasp the meaning; she couldn’t understand what Qibao meant. But the next moment, she didn’t need to ponder anymore as the little guy demonstrated how he turned a piece of Oily Green Species into a valuable treasure.

When the little guy channeled a large amount of yellow Spiritual Energy into the palm-sized Taotie carving, the yellow Spiritual Energy seemed to be entering a muddy pool, continuously churning. Huo Sining could even faintly hear slight cracking sounds.

Slowly, changes began to appear in the center of the Taotie, a faint Spiritual Energy emerged from the center, and a bright green began to slowly emerge.

Huo Sining couldn’t quite understand what was happening, but it was clear that the Taotie was undergoing some unknown transformation.

After about three or four minutes, the outer layer of the Taotie turned jet-black, but Huo Sining could distinctly see the Spiritual Energy cloaked in golden light at the very center slowly gathering and expanding, that green becoming more and more vivid and refreshing.

Until the last touch of yellow Spiritual Energy on Qibao’s Spiritual Pearl was completely depleted, the little guy finally exhaled a sigh of relief, put away the now dull pearl, and after exhaling another long breath, his complexion turned a bit pale, but the corners of his mouth were upturned, his eyes and brows filled with pride.

Huo Sining watched nervously and with inexplicable concern: ”Qibao, are you okay?”

It was clear the little guy had just completely exhausted his mental strength. Huo Sining had experienced that kind of feeling before and certainly understood what it felt like. She hurriedly leaned closer, instinctively reaching out to channel her Spiritual Energy into the little guy’s body.

However, what puzzled Huo Sining was that as she transferred her Spiritual Energy, she felt it was like pouring it into a vast ocean inside Qibao, instantly disappearing without a trace.

Thinking she was transferring too little Spiritual Energy, Huo Sining generously increased the input, sending a lot over.

But to her surprise, once the Spiritual Energy entered Qibao’s body, there was no reaction at all, his face still pale without any sign of improvement.

This left Huo Sining somewhat confused; she couldn’t figure out why her Spiritual Energy helped others and animals but was ineffective on Qibao?

After resting for a bit, Qibao finally caught his breath and, seeing Huo Sining’s pointless efforts, couldn’t help but giggle: ”Sister, haven’t you studied the five elements?”

”Huh?” Huo Sining was startled and, coming back to her senses, said, ”The five elements, yes, I know, Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth; the five elements generate each other, and the five elements counter each other.”

Qibao nodded: ”Then do you know which five elements generate and which five counter each other?”

Huo Sining nodded: ”Metal creates Water, Water creates Wood, Wood creates Fire, Fire creates Earth, Earth creates Metal; Metal counters Wood, Wood counters Earth, Earth counters Water, Water counters Fire, Fire counters Metal.”

A mischievous look flashed in Qibao’s eyes: ”Since you know the five elements, sister, why are you still so confused? The five elements generate and counter each other. I have the Rock Spirit Pearl, you have the Ice Spirit Bead, one Earth-type and one Water-type, neither generates nor counters. Do you think your Spiritual Energy is useful to me?”

Huo Sining was taken aback, and upon realizing the logic behind it, her face instantly grew hot.

To think she, a student of S University and the closed-door disciple of Zhou Shitao, didn’t even understand the basics of the five elements’ interactions, only to be mocked by a six-year-old child. Her face must be utterly lost this time.

Huo Sining felt her cheeks burning intensely, wishing she could dig a hole and hide in it.

Fortunately, the little guy Qibao didn’t keep teasing Huo Sining about this, allowing her to finally breathe a sigh of relief. Just as she was about to ask Qibao what he had done to the Taotie earlier, the little guy headed towards a stone pillar in the middle of the street and suddenly threw the Taotie carving he was holding at the stone pillar.

Seeing Qibao’s action, Huo Sining felt puzzled, but as she took a few steps closer to the little one and saw the situation in front of her, she was taken aback!
