Reborn As Super Heiress

Forcing herself to calm down, the agent gestured to the family doctor behind her, who immediately understood and stepped forward to examine Wu Jingyi’s face.

The doctor was still checking, but the agent couldn’t help herself, asking, ”Doctor Song, what’s the situation? Is it a skin allergy?”

The doctor Song was a special doctor hired by Wu Jingyi’s agency, usually serving the company’s celebrities, dealing with various conditions like skin allergies, throat inflammations, colds, and such. He was also a veteran surgeon with many years of experience, and with such ailments, effective treatment was expected once he handled them.

But this time, Doctor Song didn’t give her the affirmative answer the agent hoped for. Upon seeing the ghastly dark-red rash on Wu Jingyi’s face, even Doctor Song, who was used to all sorts of bizarre skin diseases, couldn’t help but feel a bit anxious.

After putting on gloves and a mask, Doctor Song stared at Wu Jingyi’s face for a long time, then gently dabbed her face with a cotton swab. As soon as the swab touched the bumps, a rash burst, leaking out brown pus with a very peculiar odor.

Seeing this situation, Doctor Song’s brows furrowed even tighter. He found a medicine bottle from the medical kit, mixed some powdered medicine with water, and used a spray to apply it to Wu Jingyi’s face.

The mist was sprayed on Wu Jingyi’s face, and Doctor Song waited for a response but didn’t get the reaction he wanted. This made Doctor Song gasp, his expression turning solemn, and his demeanor became heavy.

He had over twenty years of experience in medicine, handling various complex ailments, but had never seen such a strange condition like this one. It was neither herpes nor acne, nor chickenpox, and anti-inflammatory or antipruritic sprays had no effect.

What was even more absurd was that this disease left the patient completely unable to resist the urge to scratch, causing itching all over the body. The more she scratched, the itchier she got, and the itchier she got, the more she wanted to scratch. When she scratched, the bumps seemed to react and grew more.

Not just Wu Jingyi, but even Doctor Song and the agent standing next to her felt uncomfortable. Even a foot or two away, the agent felt uneasy all over.

Not sure if it was psychological or what, seeing the blisters on Wu Jingyi, the agent felt itchy and wanted to scratch herself as well, but upon seeing Wu Jingyi’s bumps increase every time she scratched, the agent had to silently suppress the urge.

The agent wasn’t stupid, seeing this, she realized the problem was tricky. She looked at Doctor Song and anxiously asked, ”Doctor Song, can you handle this? Ada has a live performance at the Spring Festival Gala tomorrow night. Can her face appear on stage tomorrow?”

Upon hearing this, Wu Jingyi only then remembered, and she screamed, grabbing Doctor Song’s hand and refusing to let go, staring at Doctor Song’s face anxiously and sharply, ”Doctor Song, you must have a way! These bumps must be gone by tomorrow, or how can I go on stage?!”

Doctor Song was taken aback by Wu Jingyi’s questioning, and his expression was not pleasant. How could such a matter be absolute? He was a doctor, not a god, and the condition in front of him didn’t seem like an ordinary skin disease at all. Even he couldn’t figure it out, let alone resolve it by tomorrow. This timeframe was too short for him.

”I can only say I’ll try my best to find a solution, but I can’t guarantee the rashes will be gone by tomorrow,” Doctor Song honestly replied.

Upon hearing Doctor Song’s words, Wu Jingyi exploded as if stepping on a mine: ”You’re a doctor and you can’t guarantee anything, what’s the point of the company hiring you? I’ll tell you, if the rashes on my face aren’t gone by tomorrow, don’t even think about continuing here, just pack up and go home for the New Year!”

”Ada! Stop saying such things!” The agent hurriedly interrupted. Wu Jingyi didn’t know Doctor Song’s status in the company, but she did. This man was a highly qualified medical expert, and the company wouldn’t fire him because of a few words from a celebrity.

Unfortunately, the agent’s attempt to remedy the situation was too late. Doctor Song was also a person with high self-esteem. How could he endure such insulting words from Wu Jingyi? He was a special doctor for the agency, respected and referred to with honor by other celebrities, but this time, he wasn’t even offered a glass of water and was arrogantly threatened with being fired. This immediately made Doctor Song feel humiliated, and anger surged from within. He couldn’t help but retort:

”Miss Ada, don’t yell at me. I’m aware of my limited abilities. I can’t treat your disease, so you don’t need to say anything. I’ll leave by myself, but I suggest you take care of yourself. These rashes on your face are not just bacterial infections, not to mention they might not heal by tomorrow, it’s even challenging to cure them.”

Upon hearing Doctor Song’s words, Wu Jingyi panicked, angry and furious. She couldn’t help but grab an ashtray from the side of the couch and threw it at Doctor Song, shouting, ”How could it be impossible to heal? What nonsense are you talking? You useless quack, get out!”

Though Doctor Song was over forty, he was still agile. Seeing Wu Jingyi flare up and throw things, he quickly dodged to the side, avoiding the ashtray’s attack. Seeing Wu Jingyi in a rage, he couldn’t help but smirk coldly, took his time packing his medical tools, and tidied the wrinkles on his clothes before standing up and looking down at Wu Jingyi:

”You don’t get to decide whether I’m a quack. I’m not taking this job, so you better find someone else skilled. But I still suggest you prepare in advance. I don’t know if your face will scar, but you certainly won’t be going on the Spring Festival Gala stage tomorrow!”

”Ah—get out, get out now!”

Wu Jingyi was losing it completely, while Doctor Song looked calm, picked up the medical box beside him, and calmly walked out.

The agent wanted to chase after him to plead, but Doctor Song couldn’t be bothered to say another word. He waved away the agent and left with a cold face.

Wu Jingyi was still enraged, but the agent secretly felt dissatisfied. If Wu Jingyi weren’t under Liang Jinghong’s protection, she would have ditched this troublesome woman long ago. Thinking that Wu Jingyi might become her cash cow in the future, the agent had to suppress her dissatisfaction.
