Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1122: Chapter 1118: Other People’s Dogs

Huo Sining standing nearby felt a bit guilty when she heard Liu Chunying’s words. Those props were just things she casually picked from the market, nothing secret about them. The only thing that could be considered out of the ordinary was probably the unique presence of Heitan.

As they chatted, Gu Xu had already led Heitan into the studio. The directors widened their eyes as soon as they saw the enormous size of Heitan.

”Is this Tibetan Mastiff the same dog you used as a prop when you performed magic at S University? It’s grown this big?”

Liu Chunying and Han Wen both showed expressions of surprise in their eyes.

Huo Sining nodded, ”Yes, it’s the same one. It’s fully grown now, but you don’t have to worry. Although it’s big, it won’t bite as long as you don’t provoke it.”

Saying that, Huo Sining smiled at Heitan, ”Heitan, sit down and say hello to everyone.”

Heitan lazily walked into the studio, wandering around the stage, inspecting this new territory. Upon hearing Huo Sining’s yell, it looked back at her and had no intention of cooperating.

However, as Huo Sining narrowed her eyes and gave a mysterious smile, Heitan seemed to understand the meaning in her eyes: ”If you don’t follow along, there’ll be no pancake tonight!”

Threatened by this look, Heitan’s heart skipped a beat, and it trembled slightly before almost instinctively dropping to the floor, its two front paws placed neatly in front, looking like a well-behaved puppy, barking twice at the directors below.

Seeing Heitan’s performance, Huo Sining nodded in satisfaction and patted its head, indicating that it did well this time, and it could be rewarded with a pancake tonight.

Poor Heitan whimpered softly, burying its head by its feet, while inside it was crying tears of sorrow.

For the sake of a pancake, it, the grand Tibetan Mastiff King, was forced to act like a pet in front of a group of humans during the Spring Festival. Wasn’t it tough?

Beside it, Gu Xu struggled to hold back laughter, his shoulder shaking a few times until he finally couldn’t help but let out a chuckle. Heitan looked up pitifully at Gu Xu, feeling even more broken inside.

The pup’s heart was filled with grievances, but it couldn’t say anything because it simply couldn’t speak.

Unfortunately, the heartless dog owner didn’t care about the pup’s feelings. As Heitan worried about its bleak future, it remembered the spiritually rich pancake from last night and hesitated, pondering over and over before deciding to endure.

Gou Jian could endure hardships, and Han Xin could tolerate humiliation. If great men can swallow their pride and stand tall, then what’s the big deal about a dog doing some cute acts to please its owner for food?

With this thought, Heitan instead became more enthusiastic, ignoring the snickering Gu Xu. Whatever Huo Sining asked it to do, it did eagerly.

The group of directors was dumbfounded, staring wide-eyed at Huo Sining giving orders to a dog on stage.

”We need a jazz hat, go fetch it.”

”Where’s my jazz cane?”

”We’re short on roses, go grab a few more.”

Every time Huo Sining said something, Heitan trotted backstage, swiftly fetched what Huo Sining wanted, and carried it back accurately, with no sloppiness at all, clearly a well-trained dog, even surpassing police dogs.

Among the director group, some who owned dogs saw Heitan’s performance and almost wished to faint in the restroom out of envy.

”Oh my god, this dog is so obedient and smart. I’m so envious. Compared to their Tibetan Mastiff, my husky is just rubbish. Besides eating and sleeping, my stupid dog probably only has one skill left: playing dumb!”

”My corgi is the same, its legs are so short it can’t even get down the stairs. Every time it goes downstairs, it has to roll. I thought it was cute when I first got it, but now I see their dog, and I wish I had never gotten a corgi.”

”I really don’t know how they trained it like that. I also want a dog like this, so I can have it cook and do laundry for me every day. It’s like having a free maid, hahaha, just thinking about it feels like living like a god!”

Everyone looked at the last director who spoke as if he were an idiot. The director rambled on for a bit, and when he finally realized everyone was looking at him, he chuckled, shrugged, and laughed, ”Okay, I’m just talking nonsense. I know I’m overthinking it. Those are always other people’s dogs!”

After Heitan’s solo show, the magic performance followed. Using the magic from S University as a blueprint, Huo Sining didn’t make any significant changes to the magic and performed it according to the original flow. However, this time, Gu Xu was responsible for bringing Heitan’s pet cage onto the stage, and the final big reveal act was cut since there was no suitable candidate available.

Even so, the few minutes of the magic performance flowed seamlessly, and multiple angles of 360-degree filming couldn’t spot any flaws, leaving the directors below stunned and filled with wonder and delight.

When the performance ended and she took a bow, the directors spontaneously stood up and applauded Huo Sining. Han Wen was even more curious, staring at Huo Sining’s props, unsure where she had hidden them.

Of course, the charm of magic lies in its mystery. The more incomprehensible the trick, the more magical it feels and the more captivating it becomes.

After watching the show, the directors began to discuss. Huo Sining’s performance was undoubtedly successful, with the directors surprised and impressed by her magic skills. However, since the show needed to be inserted into the Spring Festival Gala, Huo Sining’s current program flow wasn’t suitable.

As it was going to be live, audience interaction was a must, so the segments needed to be redesigned. How to proceed would require further discussion by the director team.

Of course, discussions aside, having Huo Sining as the magician for the Spring Festival Gala’s magic show was indisputable. Just as Huo Sining stepped off the stage, Liu Chunying handed her a contract document.

When the contract was handed to Huo Sining, she froze. Han Wen, noticing this, laughed: ”It’s just routine. Not only you, but all the guests for the show need to sign. It’s a necessary procedure. Just sign it, it’s nothing particular, just a formality.”

Huo Sining nodded, opened the contract, and saw several bold letters on the contract agreement: Confidentiality Agreement.
