Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1119: Chapter 1115: Why Is This Woman Here?

It’s just a TV program host, so logically, Huo Sining wouldn’t pay much attention to someone like that. However, this Yao Yujia really did leave an impression. After all, when Huo Sining participated in the recording of ”Folk Treasure Hunt,” this woman set several traps for her, both openly and covertly.

Even though it was their first meeting, Yao Yujia was secretly behind these petty moves, leaving Huo Sining puzzled, as she couldn’t understand when she had offended this woman.

However, Huo Sining also did not actually plan to bother with such a person. After all, she had no interaction with Yao Yujia after ”Folk Treasure Hunt,” and it wasn’t worth getting angry over an unrelated person.

So when Huo Sining saw Yao Yujia at the CCTV station, she merely glanced at her without paying much attention. Meanwhile, Yao Yujia, upon entering the lobby, spotted Huo Sining and Gu Xu waiting at the reception desk.

”What’s she doing here?” Seeing Huo Sining promenading with Gu Xu, Yao Yujia’s eyes flashed with anger and jealousy, almost rushing over to confront Huo Sining with accusations of shamelessness.

The woman beside her heard this, raised her head, and was startled by Yao Yujia’s look of clenched teeth. She followed Yao Yujia’s gaze toward the front desk and saw Huo Sining and Gu Xu, seemingly talking to the receptionist.

The woman glanced at Huo Sining, not recognizing her, and frowned: ”She’s probably not from our TV station. Who is she? Do you know her?”

Yao Yujia sneered, ”How could I know a clown who relies on backdoor connections and scheming?”

Upon hearing this, the woman looked at Huo Sining disdainfully and no longer watched the front desk. Just then, the elevator arrived, and the woman pointed to it, saying, ”The elevator’s here, let’s go.”

As the two walked towards the elevator, the elevator doors opened, revealing two people coming out. The woman, upon looking up, was stunned.

The two people exiting the elevator were none other than Director Han Wen and Liu Chunying from the Spring Festival Gala production team.

Although they worked at the same TV station, there were fourteen channels in the entire station with nearly ten thousand employees. She was merely an insignificant person among them, finding it extremely difficult to approach the upper echelons of the TV station. It was her first time getting so close to directors like Han Wen and Liu Chunying since joining the station.

”Good morning, Director Han, Director Liu!” The woman was momentarily stunned, then snapped back to reality, and greeted the two with excitement and nervousness.

Unfortunately, her respectful greeting was completely ignored. Han Wen and Liu Chunying didn’t even glance at her, walking straight towards the reception.

The woman felt embarrassed, especially with her good friend Yao Yujia beside her watching. Being ignored by the leadership left her with an awkward expression.

Instinctively, she looked up at Yao Yujia, afraid of being laughed at by her friend, but saw Yao Yujia’s gaze fixed on the scene outside the elevator. In just a moment, Yao’s expression changed significantly.

The woman, curious, turned her head to look in the direction where Han Wen and Liu Chunying were heading.

As she turned, the woman’s expression froze.

She saw Han Wen and Liu Chunying walk straight toward the reception, where Yao Yujia had called the woman a clown. Upon meeting her, Liu Chunying shook hands warmly and exchanged pleasantries, and even Han Wen displayed a friendly smile, entirely different from the usual cold demeanor that kept strangers at bay, looking as approachable as Sister Ma from her workplace.

Seeing this, the woman was filled with questions and couldn’t help but ask, ”Who exactly is that woman at the reception that made Director Han and Director Liu treat her so courteously?”

”I don’t know who she is, but I do know she got onto my show as a guest through the back door and somehow earned a name as an appraiser, pretending to be an expert on my show, with a sharp tongue and full of deceit.”

Yao Yujia, recovering, saw her friend was interested in Huo Sining and couldn’t resist belittling her a bit. After finishing, she looked at her friend again:

”You called those two Director Han and Director Liu earlier? Are the two who exited the elevator directors? From which program channel? Is this woman planning to pull strings again and create some antique appraisal show to stand out?”

The woman in the elevator was stunned: ”Antique appraisal? You must be mistaken. Not to mention CCTV has no such program, even if it did, with Director Han and Director Liu’s status, they wouldn’t plan such a low-class program.”

Upon hearing this, Yao Yujia’s face sank, glaring at her friend with anger: ”Zhou Qing, what do you mean by that? I produce an antique appraisal show, are you saying my show is low-class?!”

Realizing her mistake, Zhou Qing quickly tried to correct herself, seeing that Yao Yujia was upset:

”You know I didn’t mean it like that, I honestly wasn’t mocking you. If you knew who these two people are, you wouldn’t misunderstand. You do know which program groups these two are directors for, right?”

Yao Yujia snorted: ”What program group could be bigger than the News Broadcast or the Spring Festival Gala?”

With that, Zhou Qing fell silent, but her eyes said it all, not blinking as she watched Yao Yujia, the meaning clear in her gaze—weirdly enough, she had guessed it right. These two directors were indeed from such major shows!

Seeing Zhou Qing’s expression, Yao Yujia felt a jolt in her heart, suddenly realizing something; her face turned stark in realization, eyes widened as she looked towards the reception: ”Director Han, you’re saying that woman is Huo Sining?!”

”What else did you expect? You’ve been in the television circle for years, working in the Imperial Capital TV but you don’t even recognize Han Wen?” Zhou Qing was thoroughly exasperated.

”I have seen them, but only at grand banquets where everyone’s in evening gowns with heavy makeup. Who recognizes bare-faced, in-real-life appearances? I’ve never seen what Han Wen looks like in work attire, who would recognize that?”

No longer interested in arguing with Zhou Qing, Yao Yujia’s gaze was fixed on Huo Sining, filled with confusion and doubt.

If those two were indeed from the Spring Festival Gala’s directing team, why would Huo Sining be here? And why would those two directors be fawning over Huo Sining with such amiable gestures? What on earth is happening here?
