Reborn As Super Heiress

Huo Sining was startled for a moment. She looked up and saw a group of fans holding glow sticks and LED signs with the big words ”Miss Magic” written on them. When they saw Huo Sining getting out of the car, they couldn’t help but scream sharply.

Seeing this, Huo Sining couldn’t help but chuckle silently. Could it be that even my sister has fans now?

She nodded to the fans cheering at the entrance, waved her hand with a bright smile, and then followed the staff into the TV station. Once inside, she saw people from all walks of life bustling in and out. With less than six hours until the Spring Festival Gala, it was the final tuning stage, not just for the equipment but also for the performers to adjust their statuses.

After all, the Spring Festival Gala is an extremely important stage. Aside from those regular performers, most of the other actors are stepping onto this highly anticipated stage for the first time in their lives, and possibly the only time. So no matter how well-prepared they are, they can’t help but feel nervous and uneasy.

Huo Sining, however, felt no nervousness. Her rehearsal went very smoothly, and after that, Han Wen personally called her to express high expectations for her performance. As long as nothing went wrong during the gala, there would definitely be no problem.

This made Huo Sining even more confident. She was just aiming to amuse some older gentlemen and didn’t intend to gain fame from the gala, so there was no need to worry unnecessarily.

Just as Huo Sining entered the backstage of the gala, planning to call Han Wen, she hadn’t even gotten fully in before she saw a crowd surrounding backstage. Initially, she didn’t pay much attention, thinking it was normal since it was the gala, with all sorts of people present. There must be hundreds, if not thousands, of performers, so of course the backstage was crowded.

But soon, Huo Sining noticed something was off because she heard Han Wen’s voice shouting inside.

”Both of them have rashes? Are you kidding me? Can their program just be canceled like that? The gala starts in a few hours, and now you’re telling me they can’t perform? Who am I supposed to find to replace them?!”

As soon as Han Wen finished speaking, a man and a woman inside started pleading, trying to appease her with smiles.

”Let me tell you both, I absolutely won’t just let this slide. Starshine has gone too far. The two actors have shown such disrespect for the Spring Festival Gala stage. Knowing what today is, yet failing to take precautions? They’re not new to the industry. I don’t believe they don’t understand such basic things, having an incident on such an important day, and conveniently both on the same day. Don’t you find it laughable to try and explain it that way?”

Those two Starshine agents also found it hard to explain. One was An Rong’s agent and the other was Wu Jingyi’s agent. An Rong and Wu Jingyi both developed red rashes, but the company’s special doctor couldn’t find the cause. A day and a half passed with various treatments applied, yet the rashes did not subside and instead got worse.

With no other options, Starshine had to send the two agents to negotiate with Han Wen, explaining the situation truthfully. But to Han Wen, it all sounded too ridiculous. She could understand Ada being a newcomer, but An Rong was a seasoned actor with years of experience and was always known for being steady and cautious. How could she make a mistake at such a critical moment?

Han Wen’s mind was complicated. After all, nobody who mixes in TV was simple. Naive people would eventually be devoured, leaving not even crumbs behind, let alone climbing to such a high position. Han Wen was a conspiracy theorist, somewhat suspicious by nature. When she heard from the Starshine agents that an incident occurred, and that the two Starshine actresses developed rashes and couldn’t perform,

Such an excuse was something Han Wen couldn’t believe. She didn’t know the severity of An Rong’s and Wu Jingyi’s symptoms and therefore didn’t trust them. Just having rashes and canceling the performance seemed too far-fetched.

With her mind racing, Han Wen had already started thinking the worst. She suspected there might be a scandal involving An Rong and Wu Jingyi, and that the rashes were just a cover-up made up by Starshine to save face, making her impression of An Rong and Wu Jingyi even worse.

These two had made such a mess for her, now suddenly announcing they couldn’t perform, catching her completely off guard. Angrily, Han Wen naturally didn’t show them a good face. No matter how much the two agents tried to speak kindly, Han Wen refused to relent and ultimately made a decisive statement:

”We have a contract. They can refuse to perform, but Starshine must address the breach of contract as stipulated. I have no other choice. And remember, this experience is a one-time occurrence. Starshine must understand that I, Han Wen, will never make the same mistake twice. This time, I will remember it. As long as I’m in charge of the Spring Festival Gala stage, I’ll never accept Starshine actors again!”

The two agents’ faces changed immediately upon hearing Han Wen. They had come to negotiate and hoped to resolve the big issue into a minor one. But unexpectedly, not only did they fail, but they also made the situation worse.

They knew Han Wen had a bad temper, but they never expected her to be so difficult to deal with, offending not just the two actors but also implicating the rest of Starshine.

With that, the two agents fell silent. The more they spoke, the more mistakes they would make. They stopped trying to negotiate with Han Wen. This involved other company stars and had become a major issue—one that had to be handled by higher-ups, not something these two agents could resolve.

They exchanged a glance, realizing they wouldn’t have it easy returning. They might indeed be reprimanded by company leaders, or even fired. They exchanged a bitter smile before hurrying out of the studio to head back to Starshine headquarters.

Once the two agents left, the onlookers returned to their positions, each attending to their own business. But after witnessing the scene, everyone felt unsettled. Some with a penchant for gossip immediately started whispering with those nearby, digging into the backgrounds of the two Starshine artists. Some drama-seekers, delighted at the chaos, directly pulled out their phones, logged onto their social media alt accounts, and began leaking on the platform. Others sneakily contacted friends, urging them to break their contracts with Starshine. With Han Wen making such a declaration to ban Starshine, remaining with the company would surely be unwise.

Everyone was filled with different thoughts. Just having entered backstage, Huo Sining also heard Han Wen’s words. She vaguely guessed what was going on but didn’t step in. She quietly moved to her spot, waiting for the staff to help her with styling.
