Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 794: Chapter 790: Give away?

”I want to know, Miss Huo, how did you know that there could be Pigeon Blood Red cut from this sandwiched rough stone?”

Yang Wen stared intently at Huo Sining as if he wanted to discern some clue from her face.

”President Yang, asking me this way makes me somewhat unsure of how to respond. Would you believe me if I said it was my intuition?”

As Huo Sining gazed at Yang Wen and finished speaking, her smile suddenly faded, and then she took the Pigeon Blood Red gemstone in her hand:

”In the Stone Gambling circle, they say ’one cut can lead to poverty, one cut to wealth.’ When I entered this circle, the warning I gave myself was not to underestimate anyone, nor any piece of material!”

Huo Sining’s words seemed both a warning and an attempt to regain her composure.

The few old men before had thought too highly of themselves and looked down on a young woman like Huo Sining, so when they saw her failing one after another they started to act prideful, assuming the role of elder veterans in the circle. Now hearing Huo Sining’s words, their faces all bore a hint of embarrassment, as if their true thoughts had been laid bare for all to see.

Yang Wen also felt as if he had been slapped in the face, his expression unnatural. However, when he heard Huo Sining’s final words, he was taken aback, his eyes flashing with thoughtful consideration.

Don’t underestimate any person, nor any piece of material.

These words might seem ordinary at first, but upon deeper reflection, Yang Wen felt as though he had grasped something significant.

He unconsciously raised his head to study Huo Sining’s face, attempting to discern something, but she appeared utterly composed, revealing nothing at all.

After staring at Huo Sining for a while, Yang Wen gave up and finally turned his attention to the Pigeon’s Blood Ruby in Huo Sining’s hand, asking with a smile:

”Our visit here today was not in vain; cutting such a fine gemstone from a counterfeit rough stone has truly been an eye-opener. If I may be so bold, Miss Huo, do you plan to sell this gemstone?”

Huo Sining replied with a smile, ”You’re asking the wrong person. Although it’s true that I bought the counterfeit rough stone from someone, before it was cut open, I offered the rough stone to the owner of Dianshifang. Before the Pigeon Blood Red was revealed, I promised Boss Zhong and Liao that what came out of it would be a gift for Dianshifang’s store opening.”

The audience had already overheard from the conversation between Yang Wen and Huo Sining that the goose-egg-sized ruby was indeed Pigeon’s Blood Red. If that were the case, then this two to three hundred gram Pigeon’s Blood Ruby would set a new world record.

The crowd felt a mix of excitement and envy, murmuring among themselves. While they envied Huo Sining’s luck, they couldn’t help but admire her.

Before the shock could settle, Huo Sining announced something even more staggering.

Unbelievably, Huo Sining was prepared to give away what could potentially be the world’s largest Pigeon’s Blood Ruby!

The audience erupted in disbelief, staring wide-eyed.

Zhong Zifan and Liao Song were also stunned. Recovering, Zhong Zifan stammered, ”Miss Huo, you... you’re joking, right?”

”When have I ever joked with you about such things? Before the stone was cut, I indeed promised to give you a gift for your shop opening. I may be unimportant and my words carry little weight, but I always keep my word. Since I said it would be a gift for you, naturally, I won’t go back on that.”

Huo Sining’s expression was serious, clearly not joking.

Before the stone was cut, Huo Sining did know that there was a ruby in the sandwiched brick material, but she had simply considered this ruby as an ordinary one. Had it not been for Yang Wen’s sudden request for a test, she might not have linked this gemstone with a Pigeon’s Blood Red from Myanmar.

However, since she had spoken of giving it as a gift, there was no reason for her to take back her words, and besides, it was just a Pigeon’s Blood Red; she truly didn’t mind parting with it.

Unfortunately, although Huo Sining didn’t care, that didn’t mean Zhong Zifan and Liao had the courage to accept it. They were not greedy people, and from the beginning to the end, it was Huo Sining who had orchestrated everything; she was the one who signed the contract for the rough stone with Wang Zhongwei. Zhong Zifan wasn’t involved in the transaction, and after leaving the Wang Family, Huo Sining had returned the two hundred thousand to Zhong Zifan.

”Miss Huo, we cannot accept unrewarded generosity. If you had brought a small trinket as a gift for our shop opening, Old Zhong and I would have been delighted. But this Pigeon Blood Red, we cannot accept,” said Liao Song gravely.

It didn’t matter that the gemstone was Pigeon’s Blood Red; even if it were an ordinary ruby, given the size of this gemstone, it would be worth tens of millions. How could they dare to accept such an expensive gift?

Huo Sining laughed, ”I understand what you mean, but if you account for it this way, I was the one who meddled in this matter on a whim. If Big Brother Zhong hadn’t sought me out yesterday, he would certainly have bought this counterfeit rough stone himself. Although he might have paid an extra one or two million, if the stone were cut, this Pigeon Blood Red would naturally be discovered by you. So, by giving you this Pigeon Blood Red now, even though it’s taken a roundabout route, you could say it’s returned to its rightful owner, couldn’t you?”

Upon hearing this, Zhong Zifan’s gaze fell on the Pigeon Blood Red and then to the two counterfeit rough stone shells on the ground. His eyes flashed with difficulty and struggle until, as if having made a decision, he bit back that hint of undesirable greed, shaking his head. His look towards Huo Sining had returned to clarity and calmness.

”No, you’re wrong about something you just said. If you hadn’t accompanied me to the Wang Family yesterday, I indeed would have bought this counterfeit rough stone. Even a price of three million wouldn’t have exceeded my expectations, so I certainly wouldn’t have given up so easily.”

”But you’re mistaken about one thing. I would indeed cut the rough stone, but if I discovered it was filled with sandwiched counterfeit material, like any normal person, I wouldn’t be able to cope with such a blow. Three million down the drain, who would then pay attention to the sandwiched brick material within?”

”So even if I had purchased this counterfeit rough stone, this Pigeon Blood Red ore would have been discarded by me as worthless. Not only would I have lost three million, but this Pigeon Blood Red ore would also have ended up gathering dust in my hands.”

”Therefore, this Pigeon Blood Red, I cannot accept, and I have no right to. Miss Huo, Liao and I understand your intent and are very grateful, but this Pigeon Blood Red and you are truly destined. You are its Bole, its discoverer. Only you have the right to own it!”
