Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 789: Chapter 785: Gemstone Original Mine

The first sand hole raw material fetched a higher price, and Zhong Zifan immediately had his assistant set off a large string of firecrackers at the entrance of Dianshifang. The sound of the firecrackers boomed, instantly stirring up excitement. Almost half of the people on Antique Street heard the news and hurriedly ran towards Dianshifang.

The crowd of onlookers swelled even more, packing the entrance to Dianshifang so tightly that no one could get through. They chattered non-stop, discussing fervently. Those who had already seen the gold-threaded jadeite were too impatient to wait and see what jadeite the second raw material hid inside. Some, unable to contain their eagerness, even began to openly urge the process along.

Huo Sining smiled as he moved the second raw material onto the stone cutting machine, this piece of Hei Wusha (Black Oosh) raw material was today’s main event.

Wang Zhongwei and Zhong Yuejin craned their necks in the crowd. Both men refused to believe that a fake piece of raw material could yield any green jadeite. If that were the case, then Hu Youmin wouldn’t be a fool to use it for deception, would he?

Wang Zhongwei even phoned Hu Youmin to double check that this piece of Hei Wusha was indeed a worked-over material. He had already extracted a piece of nephrite jadeite weighing about a pound and a half from it. This Hei Wusha was now just an empty shell; a block of brick that matched perfectly in size had been embedded inside, and the two pieced of raw material had been glued back together to pass off as one piece – an example of a pillar-switching scam with a false core sandwiched within the raw material.

How could this piece of material offer anything more? Not to mention Wang Zhongwei and Zhong Yuejin, even Hu Youmin himself was intrigued. However, he was currently in Mindong and naturally could not rush to Fuzhou to watch Huo Sining cut the stone with his own eyes. He would have to wait for Wang Zhongwei to send him the news after the stone had been cut.

Holding this raw material in his arms, Huo Sining’s Heavenly Eye swept straight over the Hei Wusha, peering through the thick outer layer, observing the interior of this material.

This piece, which Huo Sining had almost overlooked, had, at its center, a piece of brick-shaped material the size of two fists. The surface of this material was grey and white, with its edges smoothed away, making it appear as round and smooth as a river pebble.

But as the white cotton on this brick-shaped material started to fade away, an alarming and dazzling red emerged, shining bright.

How could this be? At first, Huo Sining thought she had seen incorrectly, and she frowned in doubt.

She was no stranger to high-quality jadeite and understood that even the most strikingly cold and compelling jadeite didn’t possess this kind of lustrous shine.

Even the glass-type red fei jadeite she had in her storage ring did not exude such dazzling brilliance. Could it be that there was a problem with her Heavenly Eye?

However, she had cut open jadeite raw materials before, and what the Heavenly Eye Skill revealed was essentially identical to the physical appearance of the jadeite once it was extracted; at most, the real object after extraction simply had an added sense of warmth and authenticity that touched the heart.

But what was with this raw material?

A sudden insight flashed across Huo Sining’s mind, recalling something from the literature; some fraudsters, driven by greed, faked jadeite raw materials by implanting light bulbs within them, aiming for a quick profit. Could this be one of those light bulb tricks?

But Huo Sining swiftly dismissed her own speculation, for she had examined this brick-shaped material meticulously with her Heavenly Eye and saw no evidence of damage or signs of cutting; moreover, it was not large enough to conceal a light bulb.

Besides, the perpetrator had already committed fraud with this piece of Hei Wusha, so there was no need for overkill; this inserted brick was sufficient to thoroughly deceive anyone. There was no necessity to stuff anything else inside of it.

Having ruled out the possibility of this brick-shaped material being a fake, Huo Sining grew even more perplexed.

The red cloud was not large, only the size of a goose egg, surrounded by layers of white cotton, just like a cloud, and this small mass of red had somehow dyed all the surrounding cotton with its red hue.

The bright color entered Huo Sining’s mind like a flame, its brilliant hue reminiscent of the rising sun, yet also like a heart-stopping blood-red, making Huo Sining instinctively think of an adjective— ”as colorful as the morning glow!”

If it wasn’t fake, then what could it be?

Huo Sining’s mind was racing, flipping quickly through miscellaneous basic knowledge in her memory, and soon she found a piece of information in a gemstone and diamond identification book she had read.

Jadeite cannot emit light, but diamonds and gemstones can.

After being cut and processed, diamonds and gemstones can refract and reflect light, producing dazzling fire, just like the rays of starlight.

Huo Sining had once picked up a large vase on Antique Street, and inside that vase, she found a significant, top-quality Starlight Sapphire that indeed reflected six starlight rays under the lamp, looking very dazzling.

After comparing the starlight rays of that Starlight Sapphire with the light inside this brick material, Huo Sining became more certain of her conjecture.

This piece of brick material, the size of a goose egg, was actually not any jadeite raw material at all, but a ruby original mine!

It was just because there was a thick layer of stone skin on the surface of this gemstone original mine, so the person who faked the raw material didn’t realize it, mistaking it for jadeite raw stone. Seeing that the size of the material was appropriate, and the outer skin showed no sign of jadeite being cut out, looking just like junk material, it was thus disdainfully treated as waste by the forger and embedded in this fake Hei Wusha skin.

Having understood the key to this, Huo Sining could hardly contain her exhilaration while standing in Wang Zhongwei’s home, and she was determined in her heart, no matter what, she had to buy this fake raw material!

So, there came the scenes where she deliberately provoked Zhong Yuejin with her words, then counter-manipulated Wang Zhongwei, retreating as advancement, and through buying the Sand Hole Raw Material, successfully convinced Wang Zhongwei to give her this fake raw material as an add-on.

Now, Huo Sining was about to start cutting this raw material, and since this piece of Hei Wu Sha had a good exterior and red spots, everyone below the stage had high expectations for this piece.

Only Zhong Zifan and Liao Song were tense, their gazes fixed on Huo Sining’s hands, their hearts hanging by a thread.

Because they knew very well that this was after all a forged piece of material, and even though Huo Sining was full of confidence and determination, they still harbored a doubtful mindset.

Huo Sining’s expression was calm, she did not follow the crowd’s suggestion to start cutting from the red spots, but instead, she drew a line along the forger’s seam.

Seeing Huo Sining’s marking method, the people below were instantly bewildered, not understanding what she was doing.

This line went straight through the center of the raw material. If it was really cut along this line, the whole piece of raw material would be divided into two from the very center, and if there was any jadeite inside, it would also be split in half.
