Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 780: Chapter 776: The Reverse Scheme

”There’s no problem, let’s sign the contract.”

Unable to recall anything suspicious, Wang Zhongwei simply assumed it was his own misconception. After picking up the two contracts, he quickly glanced over them and signed his name at the end.

After signing, he wrote his national ID number and pressed his fingerprint. Each party kept one copy of the contract. Zhong Zifan reluctantly transferred one hundred and ninety thousand yuan for the goods to Wang Zhongwei, adding to the ten thousand yuan deposit he had given two days earlier for that piece of waste material, amounting to a total of two hundred thousand.

Having received the payment, Wang Zhongwei immediately grinned broadly, looking as if he had struck a great bargain.

On the other hand, Zhong Zifan wore a face of gloomy incomprehension. Huo Sining smiled without offering an explanation and gestured for Zhong Zifan to take the fake piece of Hei Wusha as well. The three of them then left the Wang family home directly.

It was not until they were back in the car that Zhong Zifan finally couldn’t help but ask:

”Miss Huo, I don’t understand. Describing such a material nicely, it’s Sand Hole Raw Material, but to speak bluntly, it’s not even worthy of being called trash. How could you really spend two hundred thousand to buy such a piece? Wang Zhongwei is a scammer; how could you so easily grant his wish? This man is a villain. Shouldn’t we take this opportunity to throw him into a police station, and yet you just gave him two hundred thousand for nothing? Aren’t you just letting yourself be swindled and helping him count the money?”

As he said this, a deep expression of hatred rose on Zhong Zifan’s face, obviously very upset about the matter.

”What good is it to send such a person to the police station? Do you think he would admit it? If he stubbornly denies it, insisting he’s a victim who was deceived by the raw material and didn’t discover it was a fake, what can the police do to him then? At most, they would give him a warning and fine him a bit of money. If you completely fall out with him then, and he gets stubborn with you, do you think you can get any advantage from such a mean person?” Huo Sining retorted.

Hearing this barrage of questions from Huo Sining, Zhong Zifan was suddenly at a loss for words.

Huo Sining knew that Zhong Zifan could not swallow his frustration. Her face immediately showed a smug smile as she looked at Zhong Zifan mysteriously and said, ”Besides, who said I was counting money for him? I’m telling you, today, Wang Zhongwei has made a big mistake!”

Zhong Zifan looked puzzled at Huo Sining, ”But we gave him two hundred thousand, what big mistake could he have made?”

Huo Sining raised her head to ask Zhong Zifan, ”What kind of method do you think would cause a person like Wang Zhongwei to feel the most pain if you wanted to take revenge?”

Zhong Zifan thought for a moment before responding, ”This man likes to play dirty tricks, making people dance to his tune. The last thing he would want to see is someone else using the same methods against him, right?”

”Bingo!” Huo Sining burst into laughter, ”You’re right. He thinks he’s smart, cunning and slippery in his schemes. Since that’s the case, let’s give him a taste of his own medicine. To play tricks right in front of him on his own turf, to do it flawlessly, so he suffers a loss without being able to save face, and has to swallow his teeth along with the blood—he’ll be furious, won’t he?”

Hearing what Huo Sining said, Zhong Zifan nodded in agreement, yet his confusion deepened, ”Your approach makes sense. To hit a snake, you aim for its vital spot. This method indeed hits Wang Zhongwei’s sore point, but on what basis can we turn his own tactics against him? Especially right in front of him on his turf, surely he’s not a fool. How could he possibly be fooled?”

Huo Sining shook her head with a smile, ”No, he is a fool, because I have already done so, and he has been duped!”

While speaking, Huo Sining raised the bag in her hand, her face showing a peculiar expression, ”As for what you mean by ’on what basis,’ it is naturally based on these two pieces of raw material. Do you really think I’d be foolish enough to spend two hundred thousand to buy two pieces of worthless trash material?”

”You mean to say?”

Upon hearing this, a lightbulb went off in Zhong Zifan’s mind, his eyes suddenly brightened, and he looked intently at the two pieces of raw material in Huo Sining’s bag, his eyes showing a flash of surprise.

Huo Sining nodded, ”This is quite a coincidence. In fact, the day before yesterday when I was in Mindong, I encountered Wang Zhongwei. I was dining in a restaurant and accidentally bumped into two people in the corridor, knocking their suitcase to the floor.”

Huo Sining recounted how she had a chance encounter with Wang Zhongwei and Hu Youmin in the restaurant, and how she discovered their fraudulent raw material.

”It truly was a coincidence. At that time when I knew Wang Zhongwei’s raw material was fake, I didn’t plan to meddle, but unexpectedly, after following you to the Wang Family, I recognized Wang Zhongwei as the man from the restaurant.”

”Discovering Wang Zhongwei was using this Black Oosh counterfeit raw material to deceive someone and that someone was you, I of course couldn’t stay uninvolved. So from the very beginning, I was prepared to help you expose Wang Zhongwei’s scam.”

”However, at that time I hadn’t personally handled the raw material, I only deduced it was fake from Wang Zhongwei and Hu Youmin’s conversation in the restaurant that day, without giving it much thought.”

”Later on, from the back and forth conversation between Wang Zhongwei and Zhong Yuejin, I noticed something off in their gazes and expressions, and I vaguely guessed they might have conspired together, intending to artificially inflate the price to extort money from you.”

”According to my thoughts at the time, the goal was to raise the price opportunistically, then give up the raw material before reaching Zhong Yuejin’s bottom line, thus foiling their plan and leaving them to swallow the loss.”

”But after I examined the counterfeit raw material, I changed my view. I had a feeling that this piece of raw material was not worthless.”

”My target was this counterfeit raw material. Spending millions on such a fake piece, no one would want to waste that kind of money, and I didn’t want to let Wang Zhongwei and Zhong Yuejin’s treacherous scheme succeed. However, now that the lie has been exposed, and knowing that the raw material is a fake, if I still insisted on buying this piece, Wang Zhongwei and Zhong Yuejin would definitely become suspicious.”

”So, I decided to change tactics, using a counterintelligence strategy to first dissolve their alliance, by deliberately angering Zhong Yuejin, leading him to mistakenly believe that this whole setup was actually you conspiring with Wang Zhongwei against him. Zhong Yuejin is cautious and would definitely not trust Wang Zhongwei completely, so just a few misleading words would make him overthink.”

”Zhong Yuejin took it for truth and, sure enough, fell out with Wang Zhongwei. With him gone, Wang Zhongwei couldn’t perform this one-man show anymore. Then, I revealed what I knew about Mr. Hu from the restaurant. Such private information is not something that just anyone would know. By saying it was Zhong Yuejin who told me, even if Wang Zhongwei didn’t want to believe it, doubt would certainly arise in his heart.”
