Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 254: Chapter 251: The Dolphin that Eats with Tuan Chapter 254: Chapter 251: The Dolphin that Eats with Tuan “Shark?!”

Ouyang Jun took a sharp intake of breath, Song Hui and Qin Tian exchanged glances, and both Su Qingqing and Bai Yishan’s faces turned pale.

Although they had never seen a real shark, everyone had heard of their ferocity and brutality, particularly since the release of the movie “Jaws,” which had cast a shadow in everyone’s mind. Now, hearing there were sharks approaching, everyone was scared out of their wits.

At that moment, the old captain also noticed the commotion and came up to the deck. Seeing everyone’s fearful eyes, he immediately explained with a smile:

“Sharks come in different species, and many of them are actually not as ferocious as depicted. We often encounter sharks at sea, and as long as they are not stimulated by the scent of blood, they generally won’t attack humans.”

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, but Su Qingqing’s gaze was still fixed on the sea, where three figures were getting closer, clearly heading towards their boat.

“They’re coming!”

Su Qingqing’s voice was tense, her eyes glued to the water. Unexpectedly just then, the three figures suddenly leapt out of the water, arcing beautifully through the air before effortlessly diving back in, creating countless splashes.

Once they saw clearly what the three figures leaping out of the water were, everyone burst into laughter.

“Pfft–”

“Come on, what kind of sharks are these? They’re clearly dolphins!”

“Haha, even the old captain was fooled; these dolphins are too naughty, diving and showing their fins like that, they’re doing it on purpose, aren’t they?”

“Looks like it’s a family of three, the one in the back must be their child.”

The old captain was also amused and shook his head, saying, “I’m getting old and my eyesight’s failing, I can’t see clearly anymore.”

The three dolphins seemed to know they were being talked about, and started performing cute antics around the yacht, first jumping, then spraying water, and then swaying in the water, clearly trying to charm the onlookers.

After several minutes of these antics, nobody understood what the dolphins were up to, thinking they were merely performing, but the dolphins seemed unsatisfied. They raised their heads to look at the people on the yacht and emitted strange sounds, “woo woo woo.”

Since the rice ball bowl had been emptied by Ouyang Jun and the others earlier, Huo Sining had no choice but to go back to the cabin to get more rice balls. However, as soon as she stepped out of the cabin onto the deck, she heard a commotion from the stern of the boat.

“What’s going on?” Huo Sining felt surprised and followed everyone’s gaze towards the sea from the yacht, only to see three familiar figures.

“Eh?” Surprise flashed in Huo Sining’s eyes; how did these guys get here?

The big dolphin was one of the two she had encountered months ago in Yellow River, and the little one trailing behind, with an old scar on its back, was the young injured dolphin Huo Sining had helped to treat on the island that day.

It seemed that upon seeing Huo Sining appear on the yacht’s deck, the three dolphins excitedly acted as if they were injected with adrenaline, jumping and spraying water repeatedly in Huo Sining’s direction.

Splash after splash hit Huo Sining in the face, and if she hadn’t been wearing a waterproof down jacket, she would have been soaked through.

In the winter chill, a face full of water hit Huo Sining and a cold aura suddenly washed over her, causing her to shiver uncontrollably, gazing at the three troublemakers who were still blissfully unaware of the chaos they caused.

“Enough already, I recognize you guys, no more jumping!”

Huo Sining squatted down, waved her hand at the three dolphins to show she had seen them, and only then did the trio slowly calm down, meandering over to Huo Sining and nudging her outstretched palm with their lips.

When it was the little dolphin’s turn, it acted coy, spinning several circles before finally approaching. Huo Sining chuckled lightly, “What’s this, you show such an attitude to your lifesaver? Can’t even give a little kiss as thanks?”

Seeing that Huo Sining was quite affectionate with the dolphins, like she knew them well, the onlookers were astounded. Su Qingqing, with her face full of surprise, moved closer, attempting to reach out and touch the dolphins’ slippery backs.

But the little dolphin seemed to only recognize Huo Sining, and the moment Su Qingqing recklessly reached out her hand, it quickly backed away to avoid her touch and splashed water in her direction.

Su Qingqing’s face instantly became awkward, showing a deeply embarrassed expression.

Seeing Su Qingqing’s setback, Ouyang Jun laughed scornfully without any restraint, while Bai Yishan, driven by intense curiosity, couldn’t help but ask, “Ningning, you seem to know them well. Do you know these dolphins?”

Huo Sining nodded, “When I first arrived in S City, I encountered them at the mouth of the Yellow River. At that time, the little dolphin was injured and stranded, so I rescued it. I didn’t expect these dolphins would remember me.”

While Huo Sining didn’t delve into the details of how she encountered and treated the dolphins, no one questioned her ability to do so.

The behavior of the three dolphins made everyone reassess their understanding of Huo Sining. She seemed modest and unassuming, but she always managed to pull off surprising feats that left everyone astonished and unwillingly admiring.

Everyone thought the dolphins had come to show their gratitude, marveling at the intelligence of these marine creatures, which, despite the distance, had managed to find their way here.

Ouyang Jun and Zheng Huaqing were particularly intrigued, wanting to know how these dolphins recognized Huo Sining. Was it by scent? Sound? Or some other special means unknown to them?

Only Huo Sining knew that these guys weren’t here to show gratitude; they had been lured by the familiar Spiritual Energy on the bait of the fishhook and followed the scent of it.

The Spirit of Azure Pearl had an irresistible appeal to both freshwater and marine animals. Having once felt the benefits of the Spiritual Energy, the dolphins were particularly sensitive to it and were extremely excited, despite just a faint trace of it.

Huo Sining felt helpless, thought for a moment, and then took out the bowl of bait. She kneaded it with the Spiritual Energy of Azure Pearl and quickly formed a few large baits.

Then, in the midst of Zheng Huaqing and the others’ astounded expressions, Huo Sining unhesitatingly stuffed the large baits into the mouths of the three dolphins.

Uh…

Ouyang Jun’s expression stiffened, and he asked with little confidence, “I remember, dolphins are supposed to be very picky eaters, right? They only eat live fish and reject anything dead, not even fresh dead fish. Since when have they been so easy to feed?”

It wasn’t just Ouyang Jun; Zheng Huaqing and the old captain also had expressions as if they had seen a ghost, having never encountered such a peculiar situation before.

The world is changing too fast… now even dolphins eat rice balls…
