The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Capítulo 1575: Chapter 1575: Two Types of Fourth Prize

Believe it or not, there are indeed those who aren’t short of money and have been so tempted by Wei Ronghua’s words that they intend to buy some sunflower oil to try at home.

Over where Shu Yu was, comfort prizes were being announced one after another. Some people received their popcorn wrapped in paper but were reluctant to leave. They would stand at the entrance eating, which attracted quite a few passersby to come in.

One of the carriages passing by suddenly stopped, and two young ladies got off, asking where the popcorn came from. After getting their answer, they entered the shop.

Shu Yu was arranging the lottery draw and, seeing people come over, he quickly greeted them.

Who would have thought these two ladies would ask, “Do you sell that popcorn in your shop?”

Shu Yu smiled, “We’re not selling it for now. It’s today’s consolation prize. If the ladies are interested, why not buy some melon seeds or sunflower oil and give the lottery draw a try?”

The two young ladies exchanged glances, just as they heard Wei Ronghua’s promotional voice nearby.

These two were obviously not short of money. Seeing many people gathered around the melon seeds stand and hearing that even people in the palace use the sunflower oil, they eagerly bought several jin of sunflower oil.

Shu Yu’s eyes lit up, oh, this is the first customer today to buy sunflower oil.

The other party directly handed over ten taels of silver.

This person was generous, and Shu Yu immediately let them participate in the lottery draw.

The two were initially only interested in the popcorn, but now seeing the lottery method, they were intrigued by the prizes as well.

Now it was time to draw, and the two were a bit nervous, pushing each other back and forth.

After a good while, the taller girl was pushed forward. She took a breath and reached in.

What she drew was a consolation prize, and the two were overjoyed.

Shu Yu handed them a paper bag, “Congratulations to you both.”

After getting their popcorn, they couldn’t wait to open it. In public, they still paid attention to their image and discreetly tasted two pieces before letting their maid put it away.

But their eyes remained fixed on the lottery box.

What to do? They wanted to draw again.

The shorter girl rolled her eyes and said to Shu Yu, “Boss, we’d like to buy… five taels of silver worth of melon seeds, a bit of every flavor. Can we keep drawing?”

“Of course you can.”

The shorter girl then went to pay and got the wooden tokens, neglecting even to take the melon seeds, and went directly to the draw again.

Her luck was evidently better than the taller girl, and when she saw the paper, she was pleasantly surprised.

“Fourth prize.”

The onlookers were more excited than she was, “The fourth prize, the fourth prize came out? It seems the draw isn’t that difficult.”

The short girl also got excited and quickly asked, “What is the fourth prize?”

Shu Yu lifted the cloth on the table, and the crowd looked closely. Hey, why are there two types?

Shu Yu explained, “The fourth, third, second, and first prizes all have two types of items. The winning customer can choose one from them.”

Everyone widened their eyes, they could do that?

If there’s a choice, you’ll definitely choose the more expensive and better one.

However, Shu Yu didn’t agree with this thinking. Spending two hundred wen could win you a prize, and even if it’s the first prize, there’s a limit to how expensive it can be.

Ordinary folks might want to pick the pricier option, but wealthy people have different pursuits.

Her target customers vary in spending power. If the prizes don’t strike a chord with them or pique their interest, then it’s meaningless.

Currently, the fourth prize items are cloth and a rag doll.

Shu Yu pointed to the two options and introduced, “There are thirty winners for the fourth prize, and these two in front of you are the fourth prize items. I wonder which one the lady would like?”
