The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1571: Chapter 1571: Customers Flock In

The child’s eyes flickered, and he grinned, ”Why don’t you go and see for yourselves? It’s just at Fengtao Lane, not far at all. A trip won’t be too much trouble, and the things are not expensive. Take a stroll, and you might get a pleasant surprise.”

This kid really knew how to talk, making it hard for everyone to resist.

Yeah, it wasn’t far, and while two hundred wen wasn’t cheap, it’s still something everyone could afford.

If you really don’t like the prize after seeing it, then just don’t buy it.

They all thought like that, and some who were impatient had already started heading towards Lu’s.

Once someone took the lead, the others were afraid that the grand prize would be taken by someone else, so they rushed toward Fengtao Lane.

The kid even took some melon seeds from his pocket, intending to let them taste, but when he looked up, everyone had run off.

He sighed like a little adult, shook his head, and continued shouting at the next intersection.

Fengtao Lane was particularly lively; once the auspicious time arrived, Daniu lit the firecrackers. Amidst the crackling sound, Shu Yu and Manager Wei stood at the door, each holding a corner of the red silk, gently pulling it down.

The silk fell, revealing the plaque with the words ”Lu’s” above.

”Congratulations, congratulations.” The townsfolk gathered at the door couldn’t wait to step forward and offer their congratulations.

Not only them but also the shopkeepers from the other stores on Fengtao Lane, considering the fact that Shu Yu was the Village Chief, had planned on building a good relationship.

Quickly, someone brought gift boxes over. Shu Yu knew these people didn’t plan on buying, so after welcoming them in, she asked Ying Xi to pour tea.

Who knew that when they saw the table of gifts by the door, they couldn’t move at all, simply standing there and joining the others in the excitement.

Shu Yu was helpless.

Lu’s store was large, with melon seeds displayed on the left and sunflower oil on the right.

Sunflower oil was expensive; ordinary folks who entered were usually reluctant to buy it. Even if they wanted something, it was mostly for the cheaper melon seeds. So the sunflower oil was placed on the other side, allowing those buying oil not to get crowded.

On the middle shelves were instant noodles, but today they focused on melon seeds and sunflower oil, so not many instant noodles were displayed.

But having them there also informed everyone that the shop also sold instant noodles, available for purchase if needed.

As soon as the firecrackers finished, the guests entered, and indeed, most went straight to the melon seeds.

But there were also those curious about the sunflower oil supplied to the palace, gathering on the right side of the store.

The number of people was even a bit more than she expected.

Wei Ronghua had already started greeting the guests, ”Those wanting to buy melon seeds, please come this way. We have several flavors: original, five-spice, and butter. Prices are different, and so are the tastes. But you can mix and match, and for those undecided, we have samples to taste.”

Hearing there were samples, everyone couldn’t help but swallow a bit.

Indeed, as soon as they entered the shop, an enticing aroma wafted at their noses.

Someone was the first to walk over, sampling each type of melon seed, eyes sparkling.

”I want the five-spice flavor, I like this one, give me...” He looked at the price; it wasn’t very expensive. Seemingly his family could afford it, and he really liked it, ”Give me three hundred wen.”
