The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1570: Chapter 1570: Buy Something for a Chance to Win

Once everything was ready, Shu Yu checked the time—it was the end of the hour from 5 a.m to 7 a.m.

It was seven o’clock, still early, but the street was already bustling with people coming and going.

Many people passing by curiously looked at the standing promotional poster; it could be said it was the most attractive thing.

Some even asked who drew the chibi character on the painting and if they could help them draw one too.

Shu Yu smiled as she explained, taking the opportunity to introduce the shop’s offerings. She told them that if they had time, they could come in and take a look when the store opened later.

The crowd became instantly interested, especially with the mention of the lottery, which was quite appealing.

As the auspicious time approached, a group of children suddenly ran over, looking up at Shu Yu, ”Sister Village Chief, we’re here.”

Shu Yu laughed, ”You’re here so early? Thanks for your hard work. Here, each of you gets a handful of melon seeds; I’m counting on you later.”

These children were between six and twelve years old, boys and girls, totaling a dozen or so, all lively and articulate.

Shu Yu had sought their help a couple of days earlier to attract customers. Although there was rhyming support, robust publicity was also necessary on the opening day.

The lead was the oldest boy, who, after stuffing Shu Yu’s melon seeds into his pocket, replied earnestly, ”Sister Village Chief, don’t worry, I’ll make sure they work well. We’ve followed your instructions, washed our faces and hands, and even did our own hair and cut our nails.”

”Well done.”

”Then we’re off.” The leading child, pleased with the compliment, looked even happier.

Shu Yu waved her hand, ”Go on, remember, start at the auspicious time.”

”Got it.”

The children, with their pockets full of melon seeds, some of the younger ones ate two on the spot, squinting with a face of satisfaction. As soon as Shu Yu spoke, the dozen or so children spread out, running in groups towards different directions.

When the auspicious time arrived, these children shouted at the top of their lungs, ”Lu’s Shop in Fengtao Lane is open, selling melon seeds and sunflower oil, with a lottery too. As long as your purchase exceeds two hundred coins, you get a chance to draw, and everyone wins something.”

”Lu’s Shop is open, hurry up for the lottery; the first prize is valuable.”

At this time, everyone who needed to go out had already done so, and even people from outside the city had come in to shop.

These children’s shouts reached not only those nearby but could be heard across an alley.

Soon, passersby, attracted by the lottery, stopped them to ask, ”Can you really win a lottery? What’s the first prize?”

”Go and see for yourself; there are three first prizes.”

Someone muttered softly, ”Only three, with so many people, it’s not likely to be us.”

The quick-witted child immediately replied, ”That’s because the first prize is valuable. If everyone could get it, wouldn’t it be chaotic? Besides, if you don’t win the first prize, there are second prizes, third prizes, fourth prizes, fifth prizes, and at the very least, a consolation prize.”

”Wow.” With those words, even people far away came over to ask, ”There are so many prizes? All for three people each?”

”Of course not, there are three-person prizes, ten-person prizes, fifty-person prizes, and consolation prizes for everyone.”

Everyone receives one???

Those words were simply magic, sparking everyone’s interest.

Someone asked, ”What is the consolation prize?”
