The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 900: Chapter 900 A Large Sum of Money

”It’s not an exaggeration at all, if you become the Village Chief, I too share in the glory. After all, we are still partners in selling scar removal cream, right?”

Speaking of scar removal cream, Shu Yu inevitably asked a few questions, ”How is the cream selling now?”

”Very well, extremely well,” Doctor Xu stood up, ”Wait a moment, I’ll go get the account book to show you.”

”Eh? I didn’t...” didn’t plan to look at the account book now.

However, Doctor Xu had already left, and soon he came back carrying the account book and a familiar box.

He placed the account book in front of Shu Yu and opened the box, pushing it forward, ”Here, this is the money you earned while you weren’t here, your share. Take it. I heard the Emperor rewarded you with a big house, you might have many expenses, and this money will come in handy.”

”This much?” Shu Yu didn’t look at the account book and first took out the silver notes inside.

Upon counting, there were indeed five thousand taels of money.

Doctor Xu happily sipped his tea, ”I found a merchant route to Jiangnan, where wealthy people abound and are willing to spend; indeed, orders came all at once.”

However, the scar removal cream is after all not an everyday item, there were many initial orders, but we definitely need to find other avenues later on.

Although Doctor Xu knows many people, his connections are still quite limited, he shouldn’t expand too quickly which could easily invite trouble, and it would be bad if the recipe for the scar removal cream was stolen.

Luckily, things have taken a favorable turn now, with Shu Yu becoming the Village Chief, which can outweigh the need to cautiously expand outward.

Thinking this, Doctor Xu quietly asked her, ”Lady Lu, you have spent quite some time in the southwest, you must know a lot of people right?”

Listening to his words and tone, Shu Yu instantly understood Doctor Xu’s intentions.

”Doctor Xu wants to sell the scar removal cream towards the southwest?”

”Do you think it’s feasible?”

Shu Yu thought for a moment, ”It’s feasible technically, but the southwest is remote and impoverished, the wealthy are not as abundant as in Jiangnan, and the sales volume might even be lower than here in Dongan Province.”

”That’s fine.” Having one route is enough.

Shu Yu actually thought about heading to the Capital as well, but she had just sent out a sincerely apologetic letter to Xiang Weinan there, it wouldn’t be right to make big moves at this time, so she didn’t mention it to Doctor Xu.

Nevertheless, the two of them discussed quite a bit about the southwest route, and later when Doctor Xu drafts a rough plan, Shu Yu will write to Huifeng Escort Agency in Heichang County to proceed.

She doesn’t know many merchants in the southwest, but Huifeng Escort Agency has extensive connections and some influence; giving them a share, the business can still be done.

Shu Yu had spent quite some time at the clinic and after wrapping up her conversation with Doctor Xu, she realized it was already very late.

She immediately rose to leave, ”Then I’ll be going now, if there’s anything, just have someone come find me at Liufang Alley.”

”Alright.”

Doctor Xu escorted Shu Yu out of the door, and then hurriedly went back to the backyard.

He needed to quickly draft the plan, and the first item was about the division of profits. Previously, Shu Yu directly sold him the recipe, and he managed the production and sales, so she didn’t worry about anything and only took a ten percent share.

Now it was different, they still needed her for the southwest, so the profit share couldn’t just be that little anymore.

Doctor Xu pondered in his heart and started writing down swiftly. After finishing, he realized one problem—it seems he was a doctor, not a businessman!!

Shu Yu didn’t care about what Doctor Xu was thinking, clutching the five thousand taels of silver notes in her arms, she hurried back home, eager to return.
