The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 897: Chapter 897: Seeing Ding Yuehua Again

Shu Yu carried two gift boxes and headed towards the Fan residence. The streets in this area were not busy, and since she would be living here, she observed her surroundings while walking, enjoying the leisurely atmosphere.

Upon reaching the entrance of the Fan residence, Shu Yu looked up and measured it, ”Hmm, it’s not as magnificent as my large mansion.”

Just as she was about to step forward with the invitation, a carriage drove out from a side door and stopped at the front gate. Ding Yuehua hurried out and was about to board the carriage as if she was leaving.

Shu Yu was startled, just about to call out to her when Ding Yuehua also just happened to spot her and quickly came down from the carriage step, excitedly running towards her.

”Yu!!”

”Where are you heading?”

Ding Yuehua, not having enough time to reply, just held her arm and looked her up and down, ”It’s been so long without seeing you, you seem unchanged. When did you return? You’re truly amazing, quietly becoming the Village Chief. I was stunned for quite some time when I heard it. I was actually planning to visit you today, but when I reached your shop’s doorstep, I got crowded out immediately. Quickly tell me, what’s the deal, that Heating Pack mentioned in the notice...”

”Stop stop stop, you have so many questions, how can I answer them all? Besides, we shouldn’t talk about this at the entrance gate, should we?”

Ding Yuehua slapped her forehead, ”Right, right, look at how confused I got with excitement. Let’s go inside and take our time...”

Just as she was pulling Shu Yu’s arm to turn around, Ding Yuehua suddenly remembered she was supposed to leave, then somewhat apologetically said, ”Sorry Yu, I received news that Mother hit her head, I need to go back to Ding’s residence to check on her.”

”Hit her head? Is it serious?”

Ding Yuehua shook her head, ”The servant who brought the news said it’s not a big deal, but I’m still not at ease, I have to go back and see her.”

”That’s understandable; you better go back. We can talk another day.” Shu Yu said, raising her hand to pass the gift boxes, ”Here, these are specialty products I brought back from the southwest, take them.”

Ding Yuehua had Xiao Yun step forward to take the gift boxes, then frowning, she looked at Shu and said, ”Now that you’ve become a Village Chief, you should definitely have a servant by your side. A Village Chief lugging such heavy items alone, people would be shocked if they heard.”

This was the second person who reminded her to get servants, Shu Yu said helplessly, ”I plan on looking into it. I’ve returned not long ago and there are many things pending, that’s why I’ve been delayed. Fortunately, now that I have a place to stay, I’ll go to the agency tomorrow morning to find some.””Tomorrow? I’ll accompany you, we’ll have a chance to talk, I have many things to ask you. Where are you staying now, give me your address, I will come pick you up early tomorrow morning.”

Considering that Ding Yuehua was more familiar with Jiangyuan County, Shu Yu did not refuse, gave her the address, and took her leave, ”Alright, that’s settled then, you should go back and check on your mother, go ahead.”

Feeling somewhat remorseful, Ding Yuehua, knowing that Shu Yu had walked over, simply let her get on the carriage. Once she got back to her mother’s place, the coachman would then send Shu Yu back to Liufang Alley.

They said goodbye at the entrance of Ding’s residence, and then Shu Yu went home.

She had originally thought it would be late evening by the time she saw Ding Yuehua and had not scheduled anything for later. But now that it was still early, she decided to go see Doctor Xu at the medical hall.
