The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 894: Chapter 894 I Plan to Buy Servants

Quanquan is still young, but seeing his elder brothers and sisters running off, he too stands on his tiptoes, wanting to chase after them, clutching at Lu Sixing’s hand, his entire body lunging forward, ”Mother, Mother, quickly...”

Lu Sixing helplessly picks up the child. Today, Yuan Shanchuan didn’t come after all.

Lu Sanzhu could take several days off in a row, but he could not afford to take another day off just to view a property. After sending his wife and child to Lu Sanzhu’s house in the morning, he went to his duty post.

Shu Yu did not join in the bustle with them; she started her inspection from the entrance, slowly studying one room after another.

Past the screen wall was the inverted house. Although the inverted house was not very big, with about ten rooms, a little clean-up would make it liveable.

If so, she could start considering buying servants now.

With more hands, when her father repairs the house later, they would probably need several laborers. With servants around, the problem of meals could also be solved.

After inspecting the inverted house, there was the corridor.

The corridor was quite wide but somewhat dilapidated. No one had tended to it for a long time, and the wood was riddled with wormholes in many places.

”Looks like this section will need to be torn down and redone,” said Lu Erbai, who was ambling along just as leisurely as Shu Yu.

He was a carpenter, and after viewing the house today, he needed to start preparing for renovation work, so naturally, he had to observe carefully.

Shu Yu nodded, and the two of them headed towards the main house and living room.

The living room was empty and echoing. They would need to buy some tables, chairs, tea tables, and flowers to make it look nice.

The left and right wing rooms and side rooms were not too bad, but after discussing with Lu Erbai, they still planned to replace all the windows and doors. Fortunately, the original timber used was not too precious, otherwise Shu Yu might have hesitated a bit.

The two of them talked and moved on to the back covered rooms.

Lu Sanzhu and the others were there looking around. When Shu Yu arrived, he immediately scurried over, grinning, ”Yu, you’ve got so many rooms here.”

”Indeed, plenty,” she replied.

”You see, you, Mother, and Erbai, your whole family, are not many in total, and even this can’t be fully occupied. The house is big, and few people living in it would feel empty, right? I think...”

Shu Yu interrupted with a smile, ”Not few at all, I’m planning to buy two rooms worth of servants to bring back, then it will be lively.”

Lu Sanzhu’s eyes widened, ”Servants? You plan to buy servants?”

Upon hearing this, others curiously turned their heads to look at her. Shu Yu nodded, ”Of course, who else will clean up such a big house? Third Uncle, are you coming over to help us clean up?”

”I—well, I have to work,” he said.

Shu Yu rolled her eyes, then why bring it up?

Lu Sanzhu was surprised, ”Yu, do you still have money? You have to repair the big house, buy a manor, also buy servants, and then pay wages to the servants, your two hundred taels of gold won’t last.”

Shu Yu chuckled, ”You don’t need to worry about that.”

The old lady also gave Lu Sanzhu a glare, ”Is whether she has money any of your business?”

Lu Sanzhu understood then; they did have the means.

Tsk tsk tsk, their Yu really was capable, not forgetting to make money even when exiled to the southwest, and that money might not even be a small sum.

His eyes roamed, thinking buying servants was good; later on, he might also experience the taste of being a Head Master.

While Lu Sanzhu contemplated, he opened the Gate of Drooping Flowers that led to the back yard.

Upon opening it, he gasped in surprise, ”This, this is too big, isn’t it?”
