My Alleged Husband

Chapter 2041: Chapter 1834: Pressing On for Love

Everyone’s mood is the best!

Old Master Zhang knows that this matter has now become settled. No matter what he says, it’s no use. Since things have reached this point, why not accept this fact naturally and let young people deal with their own matters? Isn’t that a better solution?

But when he thinks of his son’s disappointed eyes, his heart still hurts. That’s his biological son. No matter what grave mistakes he has made, as a father, it’s impossible to abandon him. How can he not intervene at all in his son’s marriage? If that’s really the case, how can his son live happily?

At the same time, he also understands how difficult it is to change the decision made by his daughter-in-law. She never alters her mind for anyone once she decides.

However, remembering his once arrogant daughter-in-law, who could forsake all her attitude and principles just for a little story for his son, he realizes that she changed his son completely into someone entirely different from who he is now. But such changes will never happen again; it’s destined. The end will inevitably be like this, and these predestined events will only make things worse. No one has ever thought about what caused this couple to end up like this. They all assume that all the faults are his, without considering if her husband was at fault or where exactly his son went wrong.

”You once loved each other dearly, but I also know that this love has drifted away with the harm he inflicted on you and will never return. But I hope you understand something: when one makes a firm decision at a crucial moment, that decision might leave them scarred.

I know very well who you are. You can do anything for the one you love, and you can also turn away from someone you don’t love without hesitation. You are so carefree that nothing ever holds you back. But because of my son, he has become an obstacle on your journey. He never thought he would block your path someday. But do you understand? He truly loves you and regards you as the most beloved person...”

”Father, regardless of whether he truly loves me or not, there are some things I must make clear. Just because he loves me, does it mean he can hurt me casually without consequences? If he truly loves me, how could he not understand the harm this behavior will cause me? How could my heart not be shattered by this? He never thought about these things, so why claim he loves me? Is this his love?

I once said that if one day his love for me changes, then I cannot continue living with him. Perhaps you never knew about these words, but I said them long ago. Now that his love for me is different, why should I cling to him steadfastly? Isn’t that just tormenting myself?

Everyone knows how much I love her, to what extent I’m willing to go for her. But what about him? Slammed by a few words and he abandons me, pays no heed to me. Is this the action of a true man? Is this how his heart treats his wife? If he can casually abandon his partner, what in his eyes can’t be forsaken?

I can forgive his actions time and again, pretend that his harm to me never happened at all. But why should I do this just because he once said he loved me? Did he ever swear undying love or fulfill any promises to me? Why should I be so good to him? To him, my goodness means nothing! When he abandoned me, I cried every night in secret, sobbing under the blankets to the point of suffocation. No one comforted me. Who can understand this feeling? He never experienced the heartache of losing someone dear. Losing the one you love feels like tearing out one’s heart. He never knew this pain, so he can’t understand how distressed I feel. Therefore, I will make him experience it, let him know if a relationship can be discarded so easily, then it’s not love. If a relationship can be abandoned effortlessly, then don’t say you love someone, because he’s unworthy of speaking such words.

Love isn’t a pledge, nor a promise. It’s in every word you say, what you genuinely do for me. It’s when you truly have me in your heart and see me as family. That’s love; that’s the treatment of being a couple. Facing challenges together, fully trusting each other, never doubting one another. That’s what true couples are. If she can’t fulfill even one aspect, why should they be with me?

Keeping me together, enduring sorrow and pain for a lifetime, is his heart truly filled with such hatred for me? If he hates me, I hope he speaks it clearly. Stop using tricks to hurt me. I’m not a Saint. I can’t withstand his repeated harm. My heart truly aches!

I really don’t want to do this anymore. I’m so fed up, fed up with him trying to reconcile time and again. Eventually, all he desires is an excuse for himself. Since he’s hurt me, don’t think about trying to appease me anymore. It’s all useless. I won’t go back now; there’s no turning back. The decision I’ve made won’t change for anyone anymore. For her, I’ve abandoned my principles repeatedly, but he’s unworthy, and he doesn’t deserve it...”

Old Master Zhang watched Xia Jing crying like rain, knowing this truly hurt her heart. Despite the agonizing pain, she strongly resisted letting her tears flow. Such immense willpower is required to do that.

A man who makes a woman cry to such an extent, even making breathing difficult, only shows how deeply he hurt her. Yet this foolish woman still loves him so deeply, lives and dies for love, so deeply that she struggles to protect herself.

I want to move forward for love, even if it kills me to let go of your hand!
