My Alleged Husband

Chapter 2034: Chapter 1827: Sunrise and Sunset

I am willing to accompany you as the sun rises and sets, for a lifetime, never changing!

”In your eyes, is life and death really so insignificant? You throw your own life away like this, but what about your parents? You’ve never considered how your family must feel, always pursuing your own selfish desires, doing whatever you want—that’s your true intention, right? You’ve never thought about how much hurt everyone might suffer because of this!”

One cannot be too selfish and self-centered; lack of self-restraint is not a good thing for anyone, nor is it a good outcome. One slash and you end it, but the ones left alive will continue to suffer. They will grieve your departure, because they care about you and see you as important as their own lives. Did you ever consider what kind of blow, what kind of pain your actions might cause to your relatives?

You think dying will bring you peace, but you’ve forgotten how much pain you leave behind for those still living.”

”Yes, you are right, whatever you say is correct. In everyone’s eyes, I am nothing but a coward, nothing special. I’ve lived so selfishly, for my own desires, to the point where I even disregard my parents and can abandon my child. What else is there that I cannot do? I can even give up my life; what do you think I would still fear?

I’ve never had the courage in this lifetime. I’m afraid that if a slash ends it, I’ll truly never see you again. But as time passed, I gradually realized, it turns out it’s not death that’s frightening, but losing you!

You want to live happily, but I have no way to be happy. My life is destined to be painful, destined to be sorrowful. All I want is you, just you. I only need you and love only you. I’ve given up everything, let go of it all, just to be with you. Thinking back to that time, I was truly happy and joyful; all happiness turned to ashes in an instant!

They say happiness is easy, but why is my happiness so hard? I just want to be together, peacefully and securely. I ask for nothing, seek nothing. I’ve let go of all my words, all my pride and dignity. They say I have no backbone, but does this mean I’m truly destined to be trampled on? It’s only because I care too much about you. In front of you, I have become someone without any bottom line, my limits thrown behind me. I only want you!”

Old Master Zhang never expected his son would become like this one day. Was he really that lively and sunny boy he once knew? How did he end up looking like he does now, what has he gone through over the years to become so desolate?

He couldn’t feel or understand what kind of mindset, what kind of thought his son harbors deep inside.

He has become numb. He can even forsake his own father. Perhaps there’s really nothing he wouldn’t do. What he desires is truly too simple, but he has forgotten in this life what responsibility he should have borne. He abandoned everything, just for this woman, but this woman is so heartless. Even after he attempted suicide, she refused to forgive him. Is there no path left for the two of them to walk? Why have they reached this point today? Where has their sweet, joyful time gone? What has all the trust turned into?

”I don’t care about what conflict the two of you have, nor how you quarrel. Have you ever thought about all the mistakes you’ve unleashed that I must bear the punishment for? Step by step, you’ve ended up like this; do you think this is right? Do you know what you really want from each other? Do your hearts truly not know? You’ve become like this, leaving us elders, us relatives, wondering what to think?

Why are you still so reckless at this point? Do you truly not realize what your family would do for you? Time and time again, what have you treated all this as? Have you not considered what you truly want? You’re just following the inner thoughts you’ve always had, but are those thoughts really correct? You’ve become numb. You don’t know who you are. You’ve become unkind, disloyal, unfilial!

You’re no longer the son I knew. The you now makes me feel as if even a father would be a stranger. I can’t understand where the son I once knew has gone—so kind, so amiable, so bright and sunny. But now you only have gloom; you’re living in darkness. You can’t see the slightest bit of sunshine, the slightest bit of happiness. You imagine everyone as just as dark, but you yourself are the darkest.

From the moment you made that cut, I knew you were no longer my son. You’ve become someone else, someone I don’t recognize. I don’t know who it is that occupies my son’s body, deceiving me as a father. Why use such a way to treat me? Couldn’t you just live well here, is it really so bad?

What is it about this family that makes you feel like this is a place you can’t live, can’t face? Using this way, do you think you’ll be happy? Fast enough? You’ve driven yourself to a dead end, bringing pain to everyone, giving everyone no way to face all of this. Maybe what you want is really different from us, but do you know we just want a stable life!

You’re no longer my son. You’ve become a stranger, a stranger that scares me. Someone who can disregard their own life. I really don’t know what else you could do, no matter how bloodstained your hands are, no matter how many people you’ve harmed, can you really abandon all your family?”

”I can’t care about that much anymore. The woman I love the most is leaving me; I can’t live anymore. I also want stability, but everyone is driving me to a dead end. I’m at my wits’ end; all I can think is to end my life. My death will give everyone a peaceful society, a peaceful life. You think that kind of life is the calm day you want the most, that’s what you most desire!

Why worry about life and death? Life and death evade no one. If I die sooner, everything will be as you wish...”

Many aspects of life are beyond one’s control!
