My Alleged Husband

Chapter 2036: Chapter 1829: Give It a Try

A lot of things you won’t know until you experience them yourself, to understand what you truly wish to possess!

”Dad, I get it, I completely get it now. Why you’ve done all this? I now feel that no matter what lies ahead, whether it turns out to be full of bumps or sharp thorns, as long as our family holds tightly to each other and never lets anyone go, then our family can live happily ever after.”

”It’s best that you can understand, but some things cannot be shared with others; it’s enough for us father and son to know in our hearts. If we tell others, it may bring unnecessary trouble.

You know how difficult life is for us in this family, how many people have been hurt by what we’ve done. We should consider whether what we’re doing is truly right.

We have repeatedly made inexcusable mistakes, and we can only use our own ways and actions to prove that everything we do is for the good of this family.”

”Dad, even though we do everything for the sake of this family, we will still end up having arguments and conflicts here for various reasons and in various ways. At that time, do we still have to swallow our pride? The endless conclusion merely results in family members repeatedly hurting themselves. If that’s the case, the purpose of living in this chaotic world, what’s it really for?

Our entire purpose of living here in this chaotic world is only so that our family can live happier lives. If that purpose has lost its significance, then I feel that even living here is unnecessary.

To live in this chaotic world, just being able to protect our own interests is already good enough. How could we possibly take care of the entire family’s interests at the same time?

You should know clearly that interests here are like the law, survival’s rule.

If you want to survive, you must push forward at all costs, abandoning others’ interests entirely.

In this world, if you wish to live happily, you must first see others as less important than yourself, always prioritize your own interests, and never do meaningless things for unworthy people. If you do certain things, you can’t turn back, and if you don’t, it means you lack the courage to act.

No matter when or where, you should stand for your own interests and abandon everything you originally planned, let all efforts become futile, and why cause yourself a lifetime of unease over some issues. I don’t know how to face my mother now that she’s in this state; I don’t know the right attitude to face each person in this world.

Deep inside, every family member is like my best, best friend in life. Regardless of time or place, I will prioritize family’s interests. I might see my family as more important than anything, yet I can’t abandon my entire family or personal interests for the sake of the family’s interests, that’s absolutely impossible. People are selfish—that’s the true prerequisite of living—to make those who’ve hurt you pay a painful price so they never understand what kind of pain it is.”

”Child, do you think living full of hatred like this truly makes you happy? Are you really happy? Step by step, pushing yourself to a dead end—do you really have a way back? You’ve given everyone what you wanted in the end, just so they can happily watch you. The result, however, makes every family member feel disappointed in you. You’ve forgotten what your initial dream was, you’ve forgotten the reason you wanted to prove this initially, you’ve numbed from going through these experiences again and again.”

”I know living with hatred is painful, it makes life uneasy, but why should I let them laugh happily when I’m in such unbearable pain? I’m not Saint, I can’t do it.

Those who hurt me, I’ll make them understand, one by one, what betrayal tastes like. I’ll let them know what price they have to pay for betraying others. There’s a saying, ’A lowly man is invincible,’ and I believe there’s some truth in this, but I don’t believe the world only has justice, not human hearts. Every justice opportunity exists only once, it’s all what others say; who truly acts fair here?

Behind every lie is hurt to those you love the most and who love you the most. Hurting them again and again until they’ve lost hope—there’s no reason to continue living like this.

Some things, once decided, are unworthy of forgiveness, even if you admit they have nothing to do with you. But some harm cannot be undone, others won’t forgive you indefinitely.

Some things are unforgivable. You might think all this is too much from me, but has anyone considered my feelings? They hurt this family, and I can’t let it just fade away. You might go to such lengths for Grandpa, but I have no one worthy of that degree for me. Again and again, when I discarded everything, what end did I get? Only the deepest hurt. Again and again, in others’ eyes, I am nothing.”

”Child, you’ve finally understood this principle. In this world, you can only live for yourself, never change yourself for anyone or live for anyone. You’re living for yourself, not others. If you understand this, then you’re much more mature. Some things can be ignored, but that doesn’t mean they won’t matter in your heart. What you should do now is accompany your mother well. You should help your mom recover soon. Show him that from your heart, you truly love her, not just say it without action. When she becomes alert, she will be very happy to know how much you’ve done for her.”

Isn’t it great if the result you try for is what you want?
