My Alleged Husband

Chapter 2011: Chapter 1805: In an Instant

I know that our last snowfall together was swirling all around us, but we never really considered what our family members felt.

Old Master Zhang never expected that his daughter-in-law would ultimately make such a decision. At first, they went through so much trouble and gave up everything to come back to this home. Now that they’ve managed to return, how could I choose to leave because of such a minor change? Have I really made a mistake? Should I not have pressured them over and over?

But thinking back, every single thing I’ve done and the harm brought by each family member is not so easily forgotten. If it were, I wouldn’t be like this. The hurt they caused me never changed, deeply imprinted in my mind, again and again. That was all brought upon me by them, so why do I keep being so lenient with them? Just because he’s my son?

”Have you made your decision today, or is it just a moment of rashness? I hope you think carefully before making any decision. Don’t be impulsive and reckless like before. Do you think making mistakes repeatedly means others won’t blame you? Will others forgive you when you realize your mistakes and want to come back?

Actually, you know better than anyone that this simply isn’t true. Nobody can be like this. With everything you do, you should consider the consequences and the harm it brings to your family. You always feel justified, but do you not realize your actions only harm others, pushing them into a corner?

Zhang Zhentian, I hope that each decision you’ve made today is well thought out; otherwise, you will definitely regret it. If you choose to leave today, you will have no chance to step through this door again.

You should think about whether what you did was wrong. Don’t always think we’ve wronged you. If what you’ve done is truly blameless, then how could anyone easily accuse you? Have you thought about what mistakes you’ve made and how you regard everyone in this family?

I once had high hopes for you. I always believed that if I treated you sincerely, sincerely welcomed you back home, you would sincerely repent, and not make things difficult for everyone as you do now. But what was the result? Did you let me come back? You just wanted to chase me away time and time again. Did you ever consider me your father?

I can overlook the harm you’ve caused this family because, in my mind, you are my son. As long as you want to come back, this home’s doors are open to you. But now, given what’s happened, I take back everything I decided. If you choose to leave, then don’t come back because there will be no need for you to return. Do you think this home’s doors will open for you after you leave?

Making mistakes repeatedly isn’t a problem, but being stubborn about them is a serious fault.”

Zhang Zhentian knew his father was trying to hold him back indirectly. But if he chose to stay now, his wife would leave him. What should he decide? He wanted everyone to stay here, but he couldn’t let his wife leave without reason. If someone had to leave, he would rather it be himself. Despite wanting to stay to care for his father and protect his son, he couldn’t bear to let his wife wander outside while he did nothing.

”Dad, you know how much I love my wife. I could even give up my life for her. If you leave me here while she leaves, how will I live on? Decades of companionship, do you understand what that feels like? We’ve always wandered outside without a home, calling the world our home.

In those years, I longed for a home and hoped my father would let me stay, but it all ultimately shattered, even the last shred of hope!

Sometimes, I don’t know how to continue in society or how to face it. I am scared, becoming withdrawn because I fear everyone in this world will abandon me, having been abandoned repeatedly already. As my father, you should understand these feelings most, for I was abandoned in this home before.

Surely you can understand my feelings. Everything is connected to everyone in this family, and all the pain was brought on by each one of you. How could I possibly forget? I don’t want much, but every hope has been shattered repeatedly, leaving me numb. I don’t care who made me leave, but what I care about is whether my wife, who has been with me for so many years, can smile every day. All I want is her happiness and laughter, nothing else.

In your eyes, maybe you think I’m unfilial, wondering why I remain obstinate and prioritize my wife. You might think I’m using her to hurt everyone here, but I’m forced to this. No matter what, I won’t abandon my wife to return home; that would be too selfish.

Originally, I was a selfish person, but not to the extent of abandoning my wife so casually!”

We’ve piled everything up over and over, yet we still haven’t found the answer we want!
