Super Rich by Doing as You Please

All in all, it was very mysterious.

Although Su Zhi’an was reluctant, now that Ma Dong was also a shareholder, he had the right.

So, at 10:00 AM, the shareholders began to arrive one by one in the company’s conference room.

Since it was a typical family-run business, there were no outside shareholders—aside from Ma Dong, who had just acquired his shares through a financing round. Everyone else was basically family.

Gu Heng was also there, representing his father.

Although his family’s stake wasn’t large—only 3%—they were still shareholders.

Su Mu had already had a falling out with her family over Xu Yun, so the atmosphere was tense when they all met again today.

Neither side said a word.

But soon, Su Boxiong noticed that something was wrong.

Several other shareholders hadn’t shown up.

Su Boxiong sat at the head of the conference table. He was far more astute than his foolish son.

With the company about to go public, Ma Dong’s sudden move gave him a bad feeling.

’But thankfully, the shares I hold give me an absolute advantage,’ he thought. ’No matter what tricks he tries to pull, he’s doomed to fail.’

He looked at the man his son had brought in through financing—the company’s second-largest shareholder with a 32% stake—and asked, ”President Ma, is there something you wanted to discuss by calling us all here so suddenly?”

”It’s nothing major, really.”

Ma Dong smiled and said calmly, ”I just feel that since I’ve invested in this company, I have a responsibility to it.

Therefore, for the company’s future growth and profitability, I think perhaps we should consider replacing the general manager with someone more capable.”

”Ma Dong, what are you trying to say?”

Su Zhi’an was the first to lose his composure upon hearing this.

He said angrily, ”This isn’t what you said when you were negotiating the partnership with me.”

”That was then, this is now.”

Ma Dong said bluntly, ”I don’t believe you’re capable enough to serve as the company’s general manager.”

”Then who do you think is capable, President Ma?”

Su Boxiong sneered. ”Don’t tell me it’s you?”

”Yes, that’s exactly what I think.”

”Your opinion alone is useless.”

Su Boxiong said, ”Do you think any of the shareholders here will support you?”

”I support him.”

Su Mu suddenly spoke up. ”I recommend President Ma to be the company’s general manager, responsible for all operations and management.”

”Sis.”

Su Zhi’an said furiously, ”How could you side with an outsider against me?”

”You’re mistaken, President Su.”

Ma Dong chuckled. ”It’s not your sister helping me deal with you. It’s me helping your sister deal with *you*.”

Those words left the Su father and son stunned for a moment!

Su Boxiong had never imagined that today’s shareholder meeting was actually orchestrated by his own daughter.

He said angrily, ”If you had a complaint, you could have told me directly at home. There was no need to cause a scene like this and let an outsider laugh at our family’s expense.”

”And if I had, would you have listened?”

Su Mu said, ”If you transfer all your shares to me right now, I might consider letting him and his mother off the hook.”

Su Boxiong’s face was grim. He said, ”You only have 10% of the shares. Together, you only have 42%, which is still less than my 45%!”

”Dad, you’re wrong.”

Su Mu said lightly, ”I have more than 10%. The 32% stake President Ma acquired through your financing round was bought with my money. So I now hold 42% of the shares, making me the second-largest shareholder after you.”

”No, I don’t believe it.”

Su Zhi’an demanded, ”Where did you get that much money?”

”Why should I tell you?”

Su Mu took out the share transfer agreement, tossed it on the table, and said, ”If you don’t believe me, take a look for yourself.”

”...”

After reading it, Su Zhi’an collapsed into his chair.

”Even so, I’m still the largest shareholder. I call the shots in this company.”

Though surprised, Su Boxiong remained calm. ”What’s more,” he said, ”we have the Gu Family’s 3% and the other 10% from your uncles. All together, we hold over 50% of the shares!”

”I wouldn’t be so sure about that, President Su.”

Ma Dong chimed in with a smile. ”Aside from the Gu Family’s 3%, I’ve also bought out all the other shareholders. That 10% you mentioned is now in my hands.

So, my shares, plus Miss Su’s own shares, mean our side has 52%, which is more than you.”

”!!!”

Upon hearing this, Su Boxiong’s face changed instantly, his composure gone.

Gu Heng, standing to the side, was also shocked by this outcome.

’Is the sky over the Su Family really about to change?’

Su Boxiong turned to his daughter and roared, ”Su Mu, we’re family! Are you really going to be so ruthless?!”

”He and his mother forced my hand.”

Su Mu stood up. ”Dad, I hope that in the next few days, you’ll have Su Zhi’an resign voluntarily. That way, he can leave with some dignity. Otherwise, don’t blame me for... helping him find it.”

With that, she walked straight out of the conference room.

Ma Dong followed behind her.

In the conference room, Su Boxiong felt as if he had aged years in an instant, never expecting to be defeated by his own daughter.

Su Zhi’an, meanwhile, was ashen-faced.

Gu Heng glanced at them, offered a word of consolation, then left the room and hurried after Su Mu.

Seeing this, Ma Dong said a quick word to Su Mu and left first.

’I’m in a great mood now. Just waiting for Su Zhi’an to resign so I can take over!’

Su Mu looked at her cousin and asked quizzically, ”What is it? Did Dad send you to be his mouthpiece?”

”No.”

Gu Heng replied, ”I actually understand your position regarding your father’s situation. Su Zhi’an really isn’t cut out to be a general manager. The company would go bankrupt sooner or later with him in charge.”

”Is that all you came to tell me?”

”Not exactly.”

Gu Heng hesitated for a moment, then said, ”I want to make a deal with you.”

”What kind of deal?”

”I’m willing to transfer my family’s 3% stake to you.”

Gu Heng continued, ”That would give you 45% of the shares, the same as the old man. Then, you can find a reason to kick out President Ma, and you’ll be the one in actual control of the company.”

”What are your terms?”

’There’s no way my cousin is suddenly trying to curry favor just out of the kindness of his heart.’

”You have a loan that’s stuck at the bank.”

Gu Heng said, ”All you need to do is have Xu Yun put in a good word with the bank.”

”I’m sorry, I can’t help you.”

”Cousin, I’m begging you!”

”I’m sorry!” Su Mu refused him decisively and turned to leave.

’I can’t make decisions for Xu Yun!’

’Besides, the two of them are not on good terms.’

Gu Heng: ”...”

「At Jiangcheng University」

Wu Jinyan had spent the entire morning in the dean’s office.

It was all because of what Xu Yun had told her last night about establishing a scholarship fund.

The matter sounded simple, but it was anything but.

It wasn’t just about the money.

First, the university leadership had to approve it.

Second was the project design and planning. A fair and effective scholarship program required time and effort, including determining the award amounts, selection criteria, application procedures, and evaluation mechanisms.

Then there was the need for administrative support, which involved creating application forms, collecting and reviewing application materials, organizing review meetings, and disbursing the funds.

Finally, there was legal compliance—ensuring the scholarship program adhered to relevant laws, regulations, and educational policies, which might even require the involvement of legal counsel.

It wasn’t something one person could accomplish alone.

Wu Jinyan’s current task was to convince the dean, so the dean could then petition the university leadership. This was the fastest and most effective way to implement the plan.

Fortunately, after a whole morning of lobbying, the dean finally nodded in agreement.

Wu Jinyan breathed a sigh of relief and immediately shared the good news with Xu Yun, also asking him to think of a name for the scholarship in advance.

After all, with the dean taking the lead on a matter concerning his own department, and with the university not having to foot the bill, the leadership wasn’t likely to give him a hard time.

「At the airport」

Xu Yun didn’t see his teacher’s text message right away.

He was still admiring his new plane.

It wasn’t until that afternoon, after he had finished the inspection and was taking a break, that he noticed it.

In response to his teacher’s question, Xu Yun replied without much thought, ”Teacher, let’s just call it the .”

’Naming it after myself... what could be better!’

’When it comes to charity, I can do without the fame.’

’But for something like this? Not leave my name on it?’

’Impossible!’

’I want everyone to know exactly who is giving them this scholarship!’
