Super Rich by Doing as You Please

She glanced at the time. It was already 5:00 PM.

Su Mu drove straight to Li Jinshu’s fitness center.

At this time of day, the fitness center wasn’t very crowded.

However, in a little while, around 6:00 or 7:00 PM, it would start to get busy.

Thanks to the efforts of Li Jinshu and Chen Ran, they had basically secured the business of several surrounding high-end residential communities.

The fitness center had attracted a large number of residents through positive word-of-mouth, a great workout environment, high-quality equipment, and professional trainers.

You could say the fitness center had now entered a profitable phase.

According to Li Jinshu’s plan, the fitness center’s influence would gradually expand to other communities, until eventually, everyone in Jiangcheng’s high society knew about it.

Su Mu went to the locker room, changed into a set of workout clothes, then found a treadmill toward the back, put on her headphones, and started jogging.

She set the distance for five kilometers.

Before long, she was breaking a sweat.

When Li Jinshu heard Su Mu had come to her fitness center, she immediately came up from downstairs.

She stood beside her best friend, who was still on the treadmill, and asked with a smile, ”Susu, what made you suddenly decide to come work out here today?”

”I paid for an annual membership. Am I not allowed to use it?”

Su Mu switched the machine to a slow walk and said, ”Let’s get dinner together after I finish my workout.”

”Sure! Your treat. Free food is the best food.”

Li Jinshu grinned. ”Hey, why don’t we invite Xu Yun, too? I haven’t seen him in days.”

”He’s busy. He doesn’t have time.”

”You’ve seen him?”

”Mhm.”

Su Mu said with a sigh of resignation, ”I saw him at the golf course today. He beat up that good-for-nothing brother of mine and then had me go pick him up.”

”Your brother provoked him?”

”Obviously.”

Su Mu laughed. ”You should have seen it. When I got there, my brother’s face was all red and swollen, and he was kneeling on the ground, meek as a lamb. The second he saw me, it was like he’d seen his savior.”

Li Jinshu burst out laughing. ”Haha!”

After a few laughs, her expression turned concerned. ”Is Xu Yun going to be okay after hitting him? Your brother definitely won’t let this go.”

”He should be fine. I’ve already handled it.”

”That’s good.”

Li Jinshu asked curiously, ”Do you know who Xu Yun was playing golf with?”

”I didn’t ask. Probably with friends.”

Thinking of the woman she had seen with Xu Yun, Su Mu lied, ”Given the situation, it wasn’t a good time to ask a lot of questions. He probably has a business dinner or something tonight.”

”Then it’ll just be the two of us.”

Li Jinshu said, ”Just give me a shout when you’re done working out. I’m going to make my rounds on each floor and say hi to some of the regulars.”

”Okay.”

Because Li Jinshu was not only the person in charge of the fitness center, but also a resident of the community it was in.

So she was quite familiar with the clients from her own neighborhood.

Now, whenever she did her inspection rounds before closing, she made a point of greeting everyone who was working out to maintain a friendly atmosphere.

Sometimes, business wasn’t just about the service, but also about building relationships.

By the time Li Jinshu finished her rounds, more than half an hour had passed.

After giving her staff a few instructions, she went to find Su Mu.

Su Mu had already finished her five-kilometer run and was now in the next area with a toning coach, using resistance bands to sculpt her figure.

Li Jinshu said in surprise, ”Still at it? Come on, let’s go. Shower, change, and let’s get dinner.”

”Okay.”

Su Mu slowly released the resistance band and said to the other woman, ”Instructor, let’s call it a day. Thank you for your hard work.”

Afterward, the two of them drove to a small restaurant that Su Mu used to frequent.

Over dinner, they chatted about their respective jobs.

Su Mu mentioned her plans for a team-building event, which piqued Li Jinshu’s interest. She thought it would be a great idea for her to join in with Su Mu, figuring the more people, the more lively it would be.

Su Mu thought that was a fine idea.

After all, they were all Xu Yun’s businesses. Strictly speaking, it was all in the family!

At 9:00 PM, they finished eating, left the restaurant, and drove their separate ways home.

When Su Mu got to the garage, she noticed an unfamiliar and expensive-looking sports car parked in the spot next to hers.

Although the spot belonged to Xu Yun, no one had parked there recently. ’Someone probably just parked there temporarily,’ she thought, so Su Mu didn’t pay it any mind.

She made her way up to the 19th floor.

Just as she stepped out of the elevator, she saw Yu Xuan coming out to take out the trash. Yu Xuan smiled and called out, ”President Su, just getting back?”

”Mhm, I had dinner with a friend.”

Su Mu smiled and asked, ”You didn’t go shopping with Ning Qian today?”

”Nope.”

”Alright then, I’m heading in.”

”Okay, goodnight, President Su.”

Su Mu opened her door, walked inside, and was surprised to find a pair of men’s shoes by the entrance.

Then, she heard the sound of someone showering in the bathroom.

Just as Su Mu was wondering who could be in her home, Xu Yun walked out of the bathroom wearing a bathrobe.

Their eyes met.

Xu Yun smiled. ”You’re back?”

”Xu Yun?”

Su Mu said, surprised, ”What are you doing here?”

”I felt like coming, so I came.”

Xu Yun walked over, opened his arms, and said, ”Sister Su, come give me a hug.”

”...”

Held in Xu Yun’s embrace, Su Mu didn’t resist. She asked in confusion, ”Weren’t you supposed to be with another woman today?”

”How could I do that?”

Xu Yun said, ”I beat up your brother today, and I was worried about you, so I came over to see if you’d run into any trouble.”

It turned out that after leaving the club in the afternoon, he had taken Lin Wanzhou and the others out to eat. Afterward, he made an excuse to send Xino home and came over to Su Mu’s place by himself.
