Super Rich by Doing as You Please

”And there would be no limit on the number of recipients. Anyone who meets the criteria can apply.”

”You’re saying you want to fund a scholarship?”

Wu Jinyan asked in surprise, ”You’re not kidding me, are you?”

”I’m not.”

Xu Yun said with a smile, ”Now that I have the means, I want to contribute a little something to the university and to society.”

”I’ll have to ask around about this, but I don’t think it will be a problem.”

”Alright.”

Xu Yun said, ”If it goes through, I’d like you to be in charge of the scholarship program, Teacher Wu. I trust you to treat every student with fairness and impartiality.”

”You can rest assured.”

After she spoke, Wu Jinyan asked worriedly, ”Xu Yun, let me ask you, have you really earned a lot of money in the years since you graduated?

Once a scholarship program is established, it’s a long-term commitment. We’re not talking about a small sum of money.”

”Well, not *that* much.”

Xu Yun answered honestly, ”Not counting fixed assets, I’ve only got a billion or so in my bank account right now. I’m not at the top, but I’m doing better than most.”

Wu Jinyan’s eyes went wide.

After hearing his reply, Wu Jinyan stared at her former student, speechless.

She had thought that when Xu Yun said he’d earned ”a little money,” he meant just that—a little.

That’s why she was initially worried he might be overextending himself by establishing a scholarship.

As it turned out, his definition of ”a little” was off by about nine zeroes.

”You little brat, flexing on me like that.”

Wu Jinyan was thrilled by her student’s success. She said, ”Even back in your school days, I knew you were destined for great things. That you’d make a name for yourself one day.”

”Haha, not at all. I just got a little lucky.”

Xu Yun said humbly, ”I’m still a long way off from Leibus, the senior alumnus from our department.

I heard he came back a few years ago and donated a billion to the university, just like that.”

”You rascal, and here you are comparing yourself to him.”

Wu Jinyan laughed. ”Jiang University only produces someone like him once in a generation.”

”Then I’ll aim to be the next one.”

Xu Yun grinned. ”For the university’s next anniversary, I’ll donate a billion too. Give you some bragging rights, Teacher Wu.”

”Alright, then. I’ll be waiting.”

Hearing this, Wu Jinyan smiled happily but didn’t take him seriously.

’Forget about rivaling Leibus. If Xu Yun could really establish a financial aid program for the department, that alone would be enough for her to hold her head high in front of her colleagues and superiors.’

The two of them—teacher and student—chatted for a while longer before parting ways.

After seeing Teacher Wu off, Xu Yun turned around to find Chen Xin staring at him, utterly captivated. He asked, puzzled, ”Why are you looking at me like that?”

”No reason. I just like looking at you.”

Chen Xin had heard the entire conversation between Xu Yun and Wu Jinyan.

Whether it was starting a charity or, just now, wanting to establish a scholarship...

He had become wealthy, but he hadn’t turned into a detestable capitalist.

He was always using his actions to quietly help those in society who needed it.

’Chen Xin felt so proud to have such an outstanding boyfriend!’

With that, for the first time, she stood on her tiptoes and kissed him.

”So forward?”

Xu Yun was a little surprised.

As they kissed, he could feel her becoming inexplicably aroused. Her body went soft, pliant as water.

’The old saying that women are made of water really has some truth to it.’

’But this wasn’t a good place for them to take things further.’

So Xu Yun took the initiative to end the kiss.

’Huh?’

Chen Xin looked at him, puzzled.

”We don’t have to rush.”

Xu Yun hugged her and chuckled mischievously. ”Come on, let’s go home. We can take our time kissing there.”

”Mmm...”

Hearing this, Chen Xin nodded shyly.
