Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Xu Yun drove to a Huawei store.

At a glance, the display area was filled with students playing games.

In contrast, there were very few customers actually buying phones.

Previously, you would never have seen a scene like this in a Huawei store, as they prioritized the customer’s shopping experience.

But ever since a Xiaomi experience store became a ”playground for elementary schoolers” online, earning praise from the public and getting Huawei dissed, many Huawei stores had also compromised.

They no longer restricted elementary school students from coming in to try out the devices.

A clerk saw Xu Yun enter and approached him. ”Sir, what kind of product are you looking for?”

”The ’Far Ahead’ flagship model.”

”We have it.”

The clerk led Xu Yun to a display model, shooing away an elementary schooler who was playing on it.

He pointed to the phone and said with a smile, ”Sir, you can take a look yourself. This is our flagship model. The specs and everything are written on the display. As for the price, we have a promotion right now, so we can knock about 500 yuan off for you.”

”Alright, I’ll take it.”

The clerk was surprised by how decisive he was, making up his mind after just a single glance.

’He must have decided before he even came here.’

Nowadays, many customers, especially men, research everything thoroughly before coming in to buy a phone. They usually make their purchases quickly.

The clerk also preferred doing business with male customers, who weren’t as ”troublesome” as women.

”So, sir, what color would you like?”

”Any color is fine.”

Xu Yun asked, ”How many new units of this phone do you have in the store?”

Hearing this, the clerk immediately became wary. ”Why do you ask?” he questioned, confused.

”I’m buying in bulk.”

Xu Yun said nonchalantly, ”Basically, however many you have, I’ll take them all!”

”Uh...”

The clerk said in astonishment, ”We have 50 units in stock right now. You’re buying all of them?”

”Yes, all of them!”

Xu Yun said, ”I’ll also need you to help me carry them to my car later.”

The clerk was speechless.

’Fifty units, at 7,000 yuan each... that’s 350,000 yuan!’

’What a tycoon. An absolute tycoon.’

”Sir.”

The clerk asked curiously, ”If you don’t mind me asking, why are you buying so many phones at once?”

”Team-building event. They’re a perk for my employees.”

Xu Yun sounded slightly annoyed by the hassle. ”One for each person. I’ll probably have to hit up one or two more stores to have enough.”

The clerk was speechless.

’What the hell kind of company gives its employees phones worth over 7,000 yuan for a team-building event?!’

But he quickly snapped out of it and said, ”Sir, if you’re not in a hurry, I can call the company right now and see if we can get a batch transferred from the warehouse.”

”That would be best.”

”Then how many more do you need?”

Xu Yun thought for a moment. He didn’t know the exact number of employees either. He said lightly, ”Let’s go with another 50. If that’s not enough, I’ll just give out cash instead.”

The clerk was speechless.

After the clerk made some calls and submitted a request, the regional manager personally drove over from another store with 50 more phones.

’With a sale this big, it’s better to come see it for myself.’

Xu Yun met with him, confirmed the quantity, and paid with his card. Then, several staff members started loading the phones into Xu Yun’s car.

The moment they saw the black G-Wagon, it all made sense.

’No wonder he’s such a big spender. A guy who drives a multi-million yuan car isn’t short on cash!’

While talking with the regional sales manager, Xu Yun remembered a new phone everyone had been using lately and asked casually, ”By the way, Manager Wang, do you happen to have any tri-fold phones?”

”President Xu is asking, so even if we don’t have one, I’ll find a way.”

The man had just bought 100 phones from him, a sale worth over 700,000 yuan. Now he was asking for a single tri-fold phone; of course, he had to be accommodated.

He turned to a nearby clerk and said, ”Go get the new model that just arrived yesterday and give it to President Xu.”

”Right away, Manager Wang.”

Once the goods were loaded, Xu Yun received the tri-fold phone. He smiled and said, ”Alright, Manager Wang, I’ll be heading out then. Let’s grab dinner sometime when we have the chance.”

”No problem.”

Manager Wang laughed. ”Next time your company gives out perks, remember to find me. I can source them for you.”

”Okay.”

After Xu Yun drove away, the store manager reminded him from the side, ”Manager Wang, that phone was the new display model for our store. Now that you’ve given it away, I don’t know how I’ll answer for it.”

”Don’t worry, I’ll have someone send you a new one later.”

The company gave its sales managers an annual quota of new phones specifically for gifting, to maintain business relationships.

In Manager Wang’s eyes, Xu Yun was an extravagant spender and a valuable contact worth cultivating.

With 100 phones in his trunk, Xu Yun drove straight to Jian Shiwai’s bank without stopping.

When he arrived at her office, she was engrossed in her work, head down.

KNOCK KNOCK!

Xu Yun knocked on the door.

Jian Shiwai looked up, and seeing Xu Yun walk in, she quickly stood up to greet him.

She sounded a little surprised. ”President Xu, what brings you here?”

”I came to see you. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have known you got a promotion.”

Xu Yun found a sofa and sat down, asking with a smile, ”Should I be calling you Chairman Jian now?”

”President Xu, please don’t tease me.”

Jian Shiwai poured Xu Yun a cup of coffee and said, ”I figured you might not like the tea I have here, but the coffee should be fine.”

”I came to see you about something.”

Xu Yun said, ”I need a cash withdrawal, about one million yuan. I need it delivered before tonight. I’ll send you the address later.”

According to regulations, an ordinary person would need to schedule a withdrawal of over 100,000 yuan several days in advance.

But Xu Yun was no ordinary person.

’If he says he needs it tonight, then I have to get it for him before tonight.’
