Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Yang Siqi had originally wanted to stay out of this Chaotic Scene, but seeing Su Mu walking towards her, she sighed inwardly.

’Just because I don’t go looking for trouble doesn’t mean trouble won’t come looking for me.’

’Whether I like it or not, my very existence is a threat to their sense of ownership.’

No woman likes seeing other women surrounding her man.

Yang Siqi stole a glance at Xu Yun. He was chatting with his friend, showing no sign of wanting to get involved with this group of people.

’Is he just going to let this happen?’

’Or did he set this whole thing up on purpose?’

’Was his goal just to see how we’d all react?’

Yang Siqi didn’t go looking for trouble, but if it came to her, she wasn’t one to back down.

After graduating, she’d started her own business and clawed her way up. She’d seen and dealt with all kinds of people. She wasn’t a child anymore.

When Su Mu arrived in front of her alone, Yang Siqi stood up. Facing the other’s direct gaze, she didn’t flinch at all.

”Hello. I don’t believe we’ve met.”

Su Mu wasn’t surprised by Yang Siqi’s reaction at all. She said with a smile, ”My name is Su Mu. I’m currently the general manager of Baiyun Media Company.”

”Hello, President Su.”

Neither servile nor overbearing, Yang Siqi smiled and introduced herself, ”My name is Yang Siqi. I run a fitness equipment company. If President Su’s company ever needs anything, feel free to contact me. I can give you the best discount.”

”Great. I hope we can work together in the future.”

President Su raised her glass and asked, ”Do you mind if I sit down and have a drink with you?”

”Of course not. It would be my honor.”

Yang Siqi took the offensive. ”May I ask what your relationship with President Xu is, President Su?”

”Friends.”

After answering, Su Mu deliberately added, ”The especially good kind. And you, President Yang?”

”President Xu and I are friends, as well as very good business partners.”

Yang Siqi replied naturally, ”He’s the majority shareholder of my company, but he usually doesn’t get involved in the day-to-day. He only comes to me occasionally for some ’in-depth discussions’ about work matters.”

”Oh, he comes to see me quite a bit more often.”

Su Mu said with a meaningful tone, ”When he’s free, he just loves to boss me around, demanding I do this and that. And if I don’t satisfy his demands, he won’t have it.”

”It sounds like President Su has some complaints.”

Hearing this, Yang Siqi feigned a sigh and said, ”I guess I don’t have President Su’s confidence. Whenever President Xu comes by, I do whatever he asks. I satisfy him completely, terrified he might get upset.”

”Then, President Yang, how long do you plan on ’collaborating’ with President Xu?”

”You’ll have to ask President Xu that.”

Yang Siqi replied with a smile, ”After all, I’m not the one who can make that decision. It depends on when he decides to pull his investment and give the company back to me.

”Why don’t you go ask him for me, President Su?”

”There’s no need.”

Su Mu chuckled. ”Xu Yun has invested in many small companies. Not every one of them is important enough for him to remember. Perhaps after a while, he’ll naturally forget they even exist.”

”Then I’ll just have to keep reminding him of me, won’t I?”

Yang Siqi looked at Su Mu and said bluntly, ”We all work for President Xu. Neither of us has more of a right to speak than the other. The only one who can make decisions for Xu Yun is Madam Xu.”

Her meaning was obvious. ’If you, Su Mu, want to come at me like this, you’d better have the standing to back it up!’

’Without that, you and I are just two of a kind.’

”As expected of the self-made President Yang. Your eloquence is truly impressive.”

Su Mu wasn’t the least bit angry at Yang Siqi’s words. She smiled and asked, ”I wonder, is President Yang’s tolerance for alcohol just as impressive?”

”It’s decent.”

Yang Siqi didn’t back down an inch. ”As long as President Su wants to drink, I’ll keep you company all night. We can drink until you’re content!”

”So we’re not leaving until we’re drunk?”

”Alright. Not leaving until we’re drunk.”

The two of them were tit-for-tat in their verbal sparring, evenly matched. Neither gained an advantage.

So they decided to settle it over drinks.

Because they were both very confident in their drinking capacity.

Then they would see who Xu Yun sided with.

...

Over by Xu Yun, Xino came straight over, carrying a bottle of liquor.

Her face clearly showed she was unhappy.

Seeing this, Lin Wanzhou couldn’t hide the smile at the corners of his mouth.

He gave Xu Yun a gloating look, his eyes seeming to say, ’”Hahaha, it’s finally happening, isn’t it? Let’s see you get out of this one.”’

Seeing this, Xu Yun rolled his eyes at him.

He asked Xino, ”What are you doing? Carrying a bottle, you looking for a fight with me?”

”No, I’m looking for her.”

Xino pointed to Chen Xin, who was eating snacks with Wang Yurou not far away, and said, ”I want to hang out with her. Drink with her.”

Chen Xin had been happily eating with Wang Yurou, but she was completely stunned when someone suddenly came looking to ”hang out” with her.

And from the looks of it, this person was very unhappy.

’Is she really here to hang out with me?’

’This looks more like she’s here to pick a fight, doesn’t it?’

Poor Chen Xin immediately looked to Xu Yun, hoping he would handle the situation for her.

”She can’t drink.”

Xu Yun smiled, reached out, and took the bottle from Xino. Then he said, ”Alright, now you can go hang out with her.”

”...” Xino.

”...” Chen Xin.

At that moment, Xino thought, ’Xu Yun’s being so obviously biased. He just took away my ”weapon.”’

’Should I still go over there?’

And Chen Xin wondered, ’Why is he letting her come over here?’

’I have no idea how to handle this!’

Seeing that Xino hadn’t moved, Xu Yun deliberately smiled and asked, ”What’s wrong? You’re not going anymore?”

”I am!”

Xino huffed, walked right past Xu Yun, and stood before Chen Xin. ”Hello, my name is Xino,” she said.

”I... I’m Chen Xin.”
