Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Chen Xin whispered, ”I... I don’t know how to fight. Can we please not?”

”That’s right. If you dare lay a hand on my friend,” Wang Yurou said, standing protectively in front of Chen Xin, ”I won’t just stand by and watch.”

”Er...”

Xino was at a complete loss for words.

”I... I didn’t come here to fight you. I was...”

She froze for a moment, her gaze falling awkwardly on the snacks and fruit in their hands. Then, inspiration struck. ”I was going to ask if you wanted to drink with me, but since there’s no more alcohol... can I have some of your snacks and fruit instead?”

Chen Xin and Wang Yurou exchanged a baffled look.

”Well? Are you going to share or not? Say something,” Xino said, annoyed. ”If you don’t want to, I’ll just leave.”

”O-Okay...”

Chen Xin offered her the snacks she was holding. ”This pork jerky is really good. Do you want some?

If you don’t like it, we have plenty of other things. Feel free to pick whatever you want.”

”I’ll eat. I’ll eat anything...” Xino pouted.

’I’ll show them,’ she silently resolved. ’I’m going to eat every last one of their favorite snacks and fruits!’

’Let’s see what they have left to eat then!’

At first, the two of them were polite and let Xino have her pick. But when they noticed she seemed to be deliberately targeting their favorite snacks and gobbling them down, they started to panic and dropped the courtesy.

And so, a very strange scene unfolded.

The three women, acting like children, lunged at the table, frantically fighting over the snacks.

’What in the world is going on?’

Lin Wanzhou, who had been expecting some real drama, was completely dumbfounded. She turned to Xu Yun, utterly perplexed.

Xu Yun just smiled smugly.

’Xino is innocent and kind-hearted by nature. When she runs into women who are just like her, how ”bad” can she possibly be?’

’The worst she can do is steal their snacks. Hahaha...’

’If his passive affection for Xino was at 85% before, it had just shot up to 95%, second only to his feelings for Chen Xin.’

While the trio was fighting over snacks, a crowd had slowly started to form at another booth.

Things were getting rowdy!

It turned out Jiang Peiyao and Li Jinshu had gotten into a disagreement and were now going at it.

Not with fists, of course.

In a bar, the natural course of action was a drinking contest!

The lineup had also grown from just the two of them into two opposing factions.

Jiang Peiyao and Jian Shiwai were on one side.

On the other were Li Jinshu, Ning Qian, and Song Xiaowei, with Liang Yan eagerly jumping in as well.

It had all started with just Jiang Peiyao and Li Jinshu drinking.

Li Jinshu had started it, but her alcohol tolerance was pitiful. After a few bold proclamations and a couple of drinks, she was already getting dizzy.

Jiang Peiyao, on the other hand, was merely flushed.

Seeing this, Ning Qian, who had come with Li Jinshu, naturally felt obligated to help her out and started drinking against Jiang Peiyao as well.

Now it was two against one.

Jian Shiwai, watching from a nearby booth, frowned at the sight.

’What’s this? Are they ganging up on her?’

After all, she and Jiang Peiyao were acquaintances. So, she steeled herself and stepped in to help.

And just like that, it was two-on-two.

But Jian Shiwai’s tolerance for alcohol was far beyond what rookies like Li Jinshu and Ning Qian could handle. It wasn’t long before they were struggling to keep up.

Li Jinshu tried to call for backup from Yu Xuan and Song Xiaowei.

Song Xiaowei joined in, but she had almost no tolerance for alcohol, so adding her to the mix did nothing to change the tide of battle.

Meanwhile, Yu Xuan, the group’s de facto manager, was friendly with both sides. She couldn’t possibly pick a team in a situation like this and could only remain neutral, trying to mediate.

But no one was listening.

Things had gotten heated, and neither side was willing to back down.

She thought about asking President Su to intervene, but a quick glance revealed that President Su was, for some reason, caught up in her own drinking session with another woman and couldn’t be bothered.

’What a headache.’

Yu Xuan then glanced over at her boss, Xu Yun.

’Good grief, it looked like Xino and Chen Xin had started going at it too!’

’Wait, were they... fighting over food?’

And her boss himself was just watching it all with a smile, letting events run their course.

Finally, just as Li Jinshu’s team was on the verge of defeat and Jiang Peiyao was about to offer them a graceful way out, Liang Yan sauntered over.

She chimed in with a few inconsequential remarks.

The moment Li Jinshu saw her, she immediately pleaded for help.

Liang Yan, of course, would help her own people. She joined the fray as a matter of course, bringing Wanqing along with her.

Moreover, her tolerance for alcohol was in a different league from Li Jinshu’s group; she was much, much better.

In an instant, the tables were turned.

Downstairs, the employees, having finished their drinks, were now having a wild time.

Led by the bar’s MC, everyone had started a stage talent competition: ”If You Have a Dream, Come on Up.”

Anyone who went up to perform—be it singing, dancing, or any other act—and won the crowd’s unanimous approval would get a chance at the cash grab.

A full one million in cash was spread out, and you’d be blindfolded and given one chance to grab as much as you could with a pair of tongs.

Whatever you could grab was yours to keep!

People eagerly signed up, taking the stage one after another...

Meanwhile, up on the second floor, amidst a table littered with empty bottles, Jiang Peiyao and Jian Shiwai were finally on the losing end, though they stubbornly refused to concede.

Nearby, Lin Wanzhou asked, ”Are you really not going to do something about that?

If they keep drinking like that, more than half of them won’t be able to walk out of this bar tonight.”

”If they get drunk, they can just sleep it off.”

Xu Yun said nonchalantly, ”Tonight is all about having fun and letting loose. I’m not going to interfere.”

Lin Wanzhou was speechless.

”Although,” Xu Yun added, ”five of them against two... that is a bit unfair!”

Xu Yun turned and called out towards Xino and Chen Xin, ”Honey!”

”???”

Hearing Xu Yun’s call, Xino and Chen Xin both froze, turning to stare at him.
