Super Rich by Doing as You Please

There was something strangely incongruous about the scene.

Any woman with a shred of intelligence could guess that everyone who was able to come here today—everyone on this second floor—likely had a tangled, ambiguous relationship with Xu Yun.

Su Mu, Li Jinshu, Liang Yan, and Ning Qian, who knew each other, happened to be standing together on one side. They watched the women across from them and started whispering among themselves.

”Those women across from you are going to be your fiercest rivals,”

Liang Yan said to Li Jinshu. ”What are you thinking? Want me to help you deal with them later on?”

”What’s there to think about?”

Li Jinshu knew Liang Yan was trying to stir up trouble again. ”None of us are the official wife, so who are we to look down on anyone else? Besides, as long as Susu doesn’t compete with me, I’m not afraid of anyone. And I won’t back down.”

”Heh, you sure know how to pick your allies.”

Liang Yan glanced at Su Mu. ’You fool,’ she thought, itching to tell Li Jinshu, ’your so-called best friend is your biggest rival.’

But when she saw the warning glare Su Mu shot her, she held her tongue.

It wasn’t that she was afraid of Su Mu, but that she was afraid of how Xu Yun would react if he found out.

Ning Qian remained silent, quietly memorizing the faces of the other women who had arrived. That way, she would know who she was dealing with in the future.

Su Mu was also sizing up the women on the other side.

She’d met Xino, Jiang Peiyao, and Song Xiaowei before. They posed a threat, but not one she found particularly difficult to handle. She considered them within a manageable range.

One of them, Xino, was clearly unconcerned with worldly competition and didn’t have a competitive bone in her body. The other, Jiang Peiyao, was obviously a ”little princess” type, completely lacking in cunning or schemes.

And the last one, Song Xiaowei, was a recent college graduate who was now a public figure, so her relationship with Xu Yun had to be kept even further in the shadows.

But the unfamiliar one, Yang Siqi, was someone she was seeing for the first time!

’Didn’t Yu Xuan just say she runs a fitness equipment company?’

’And she looks about my age, and she’s a company owner... She seems like a woman with plenty of real-world experience.’

’Even though, like me, she’s destined to never be the official one on the surface, her methods for currying favor in private are probably quite formidable.’

’I’ll have to be more careful of her from now on.’

Yang Siqi was also observing everyone around her—with the exception of Xino!

That’s right. Of all the women present, she was the most out of the loop, the one who knew the least about the others in Xu Yun’s life.

’I never imagined he had so many other women besides me.’

’And today I’m seeing so many of them at once.’

’And every single one of them seems formidable. They aren’t just beautiful; each has a completely different aura.’

’It’s a good thing I have no intention of competing with them for his affection.’

’As long as Xu Yun doesn’t cast me aside and continues to support my career, I’m perfectly willing to be that sensible woman who’s there when he calls and gone when he dismisses me.’

The only one who was overlooked by everyone was Wanqing.

At the moment, she was just an entertainer who hadn’t made it big yet, and she had the lowest status among them.

Although she was quite beautiful, in a room full of so many stunning women, she didn’t particularly stand out.

However, she silently memorized the face of every woman in the room.

And in her heart, she made a silent vow.

’Tonight, I may just be standing by Liang Yan’s side like a nobody, but one day, I will become the most dazzling woman in this group!’

”Got some ideas?”

Liang Yan seemed to have caught the change in Wanqing’s expression.

She looked at the woman who was likely also involved with Xu Yun and said with a wry smile, ”What you see today are all of Xu Yun’s women in Jiangcheng.”

”As for the ones in other cities, I have no idea.”

”Almost every single one of them manages, to some extent, at least ten million of Xu Yun’s assets or business operations.”

”Some even manage over a hundred million.”

”Even that girl over there, Xino, the one who looks the most innocent and pure—while she doesn’t manage any of Xu Yun’s assets, she’s the heiress to a publicly traded energy group here in the city.”

”Her net worth is at least a hundred million!”

”As for me, well, I don’t need to elaborate.”

”I have a bit of money and ability myself, but my standing with Xu Yun isn’t much better than yours.”

”For now, you can consider me your ally.”

”So, if you want to secure a place for yourself by Xu Yun’s side, then all of them are your future rivals.”

”I’m not thinking about that,”

Wanqing denied. ”I just want to focus on myself.”

”Not bad, not bad. Your acting has improved a lot.”

Liang Yan said mockingly, ”We’re all women here, you don’t have to put on an act for me. This world is survival of the fittest, and that includes fighting over a man.”

Wanqing fell silent.

”But in truth, our biggest rival isn’t even here.”

Liang Yan said wistfully, a hint of envy in her voice, ”She’s the smartest one. By staying at Old Buddha’s side, she has already put herself in an unbeatable position!”

Wanqing asked, her curiosity piqued, ”Who?”

”A truly naive and sweet girl.”

Liang Yan warned, ”So if you ever get the chance to meet her, remember this: whatever you do, don’t mess with her.”

Wanqing was silent again.

While they were all talking, Xu Yun arrived outside the bar with Chen Xin.

They happened to run into Lin Wanzhou and his fake girlfriend, Wang Yurou.

Wang Yurou greeted him politely, ”Hello, Brother Xu.”

”Hello, Sister-in-law,” Xu Yun replied with a smile, sticking to the familiar address.

Wang Yurou gave a shy smile.

Lin Wanzhou shot him a glare.

Afterward, Xu Yun introduced Chen Xin, who was standing beside him. ”Old Lin, this is your sister-in-law, Chen Xin. It’s your first time meeting, so remember to give her a big red envelope later.”

”No problem.” It was the first time Lin Wanzhou had ever heard Xu Yun introduce a woman this way, so he found himself looking at Chen Xin with newfound respect.

’Looks like this woman holds a high place in Xu Yun’s heart.’
