Super Rich by Doing as You Please

They only exchanged a look, without much communication.

Her younger brother, Su Zhi’an, was kneeling off to the side, his cheeks red and swollen.

Meanwhile, Xu Yun was playing a game with a beautiful woman.

When he saw Su Mu arrive, Su Zhi’an immediately started whining, ”Sis, you’re finally here! Xu Yun bullied me! He’s treating me like I’m nothing.”

”Just shut up, you.”

Su Mu told a nearby manager to help him up.

However, the club’s manager instinctively looked toward Xu Yun.

Seeing this, Xu Yun nodded. ”Do as she says. Help our little darling up. I imagine his legs are pretty weak after kneeling for so long; he probably can’t even stand up straight.”

”...” Su Zhi’an was speechless.

Su Mu knew what kind of person Xu Yun was. He was generally amicable and wouldn’t go looking for trouble.

After having her brother helped to his feet, she walked straight over to Xu Yun and pointedly sized up the woman at his side.

’I recognize her. We met once, last time in the restaurant lobby.’

’Li Jinshu almost got into a fight with her over a round fan.’

Xino, for her part, also had a good memory and recognized Su Mu.

’Oh, it’s her.’

’What a coincidence!’

She smiled and politely took the initiative. ”What a coincidence. We’ve met before, I’m not sure if you remember me.”

”I remember. It is quite a coincidence.”

Su Mu replied with a smile, then turned to look at Xu Yun, who was grinning beside them.

Xu Yun chuckled. ”For a second there, I thought you were truly heartless and were going to wash your hands of this useless brother of yours.”

Su Mu shot him a glare. ”Out with it. What did he do to provoke you?”

”Nothing major. He acted like a brainless monkey. The moment we met, he came over to provoke me without having any clue what I’m capable of.”

Xu Yun replied, ”So I taught him a lesson on your behalf. Since you’re here, you can take him away. Bring him to a hospital to ice his face. It seems a little swollen.”

”A ’little’ swollen? It’s very swollen.”

Su Mu said with some reproach, ”You were so heavy-handed. Aren’t you afraid he’ll call the cops and cause trouble for you?”

”Isn’t that what you’re here for? To help me deal with it.”

Xu Yun chuckled mischievously. ”Looks like I’ll have to trouble you for a bit. But if you really can’t handle him, just tell me. I’ll do it myself.”

”No need. I can handle it.”

Su Mu said peevishly, ”You and your girlfriend just go on and have a nice game.”

”...” Xu Yun was left speechless.

Everyone else present, including Xino, sensed a hint of someone’s jealousy.

Just when everyone thought the matter was settled, Xu Yun suddenly called out to Su Zhi’an.

”Hey, wait a second.”

Terrified, Su Zhi’an immediately hid behind Su Mu and asked, ”What more do you want?”

”From now on, don’t go looking for trouble with your sister or making her angry.”

Xu Yun said with a smile, his tone light and joking, ”Otherwise, I’ll have someone sink you in the Hanjiang to feed the fishes.”

”...” Su Zhi’an was speechless.

After the others had gone, Xino asked, ”That woman earlier... is she really your girlfriend?”

”Mhm.”

Xu Yun didn’t deny it, nodding. ”I knew her before you. It’s been three or four years.”

”Does that mean I’m the other woman?”

”Well, if we’re going by seniority~”

Xu Yun held up his hands and said with a grin, ”Let me see where you rank... One, two, three...”

”AAAAAH! I’m not listening! I’m not listening!”

Xino covered her ears as if to escape the truth, pouting. ”I don’t care what number I am! In the end, you can only marry me.”

This was her favorite trick: burying her head in the sand.

”...” Xu Yun was at a loss for words.

Seeing that Xu Yun had stopped counting, Xino finally lowered her hands. ”That woman earlier seemed jealous of me.”

”And? You want me to just drop you and go to her?”

”Of course not.”

Xino shook her head. ”I mean, should I buy a gift for you to give her on my behalf?”

”???” Xu Yun was confused.

’What kind of play is this?’

When Xu Yun didn’t respond, Xino explained with an aggrieved look, ”So that I don’t make things difficult for you, I should take the initiative to get along with all the other ’sisters’.”

”???”

Xu Yun stared at her, completely dumbfounded. His brain felt like it was short-circuiting.

’Wait, what?’

’When did she become so thoughtful and understanding?’

’This doesn’t make any sense!’

If these words had come from Ning Qian, Jiang Peiyao, or any of the other women, Xu Yun would have understood.

But coming from Xino, he found it truly unbelievable.

Xu Yun asked in confusion, ”Why did you suddenly have this idea?”

”Maybe I’ll be the head of the household in the future.”

Xino said, feigning magnanimity, ”Since you’re a womanizer and won’t change for me, then as the future head of this household, I have no choice but to broaden my perspective. My heart must be as vast as the ocean to accommodate the other sisters.”

Xu Yun was gobsmacked.

After hearing her out, Xu Yun couldn’t help but laugh. ”What do you think you are, an Empress? ’Head of the household’ indeed.”

”That’s right. I’ll just consider myself a modern-day Empress.”

Xino said, ”As long as they don’t try to take my Empress’s throne, I won’t fight them.”

”...” Xu Yun was speechless.

Seeing Xu Yun’s shocked expression, Xino couldn’t help but feel smug.

’Haha, Xu Yun must be so moved by my words right now.’

’Mom was right.’

’As long as I keep acting this selflessly, compared to those other women who get jealous and start drama with Xu Yun, I’ll seem like a total saint.’

’Eventually, Xu Yun will eliminate them one by one, leaving just me, his sweet and sensible wife.’

「Meanwhile.」

After Su Mu, Su Zhi’an, and President Ma left the club.

On the way, she learned the full story of what had happened from President Ma.

After that, he found an excuse and left early.

In any case, the contract with Su Zhi’an was signed. The main business was settled. Now it was just a matter of waiting for Su Mu’s signal on when to make a move.

After President Ma left, Su Mu said, ”Go to the hospital and see a doctor yourself. I’m leaving.”

”Sis! Are you even a woman?!”

With Xu Yun and President Ma gone, Su Zhi’an could no longer control his temper.

He raged, ”Did you just stand by and watch him make eyes at another woman? Doesn’t that make you angry at all?”

”My business is none of your concern.”

”I think he’s completely brainwashed you!”

Su Zhi’an shouted, ”Without you, what is he? Xu Yun is nothing! Just some low-level employee.

Today he dared to humiliate me like that in front of an outsider! I swear I won’t rest until I get my revenge.”

”And how do you plan on getting revenge?”

Su Mu frowned. ”Wasn’t getting beaten up enough for you? Next time, I won’t be coming to bail you out!”

”I’m calling the police! The minute I get back, I’m calling the police!”

Su Zhi’an said viciously, ”I’m going to get a lawyer and sue him until he’s rotting in a jail cell.”

Su Mu recalled the fact that Xu Yun had indeed hit him. If Su Zhi’an really called the police and pressed charges, it would definitely cause a lot of trouble for Xu Yun.

”Why don’t we just let today’s incident go? You were the one who provoked him in the first place.”

Su Mu said, ”If you drop this and don’t make trouble for Xu Yun, I can promise to give you and your mother more money every year after the company goes public.”

”Sis, are you stupid? We’re the family here!”

Su Zhi’an said with contempt, ”I’m the one calling the shots at the company now! Dad put me in charge. You’re going to give me more money?

I think you’re the one who should break up with Xu Yun. When that happens, I can talk to Dad about letting you come back to work. I’ll get you a position as the HR manager of a publicly listed company.”

”So there’s no room for negotiation?”

”Even if I agreed, my mom and dad would never allow me to be bullied like this.”

Su Zhi’an got into his car and said, ”You tell that Xu Yun I’m going to make him regret he ever crossed me.”

Su Mu watched Su Zhi’an speed away, then picked up her phone and called Jiang Xueqi.

”Aunt Jiang, when Zhi’an gets back, please try to talk some sense into him. It’s best if he doesn’t call the police. It won’t do him or any of you any good.”

”Su Mu, what do you mean by that?”

Jiang Xueqi demanded furiously, ”What happened to my son?”

”You’ll know when he gets back.”

Su Mu said in a cold voice, ”If you call the police, I’ll kick him out of the company directly. He won’t get a single penny.”

”The company belongs to your father. You don’t have the final say.”

Su Mu sneered. ”Aunt Jiang, we’ll just have to wait and see about that. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

”...”

Listening to the dial tone, Jiang Xueqi’s expression turned grim.

She immediately called her son to ask what had happened.

She wasn’t prepared for what she heard. After listening to the story, she flew into a rage, immediately losing her composure. She slammed the phone down and ran to find her pillar of support.

As she ran, she wailed, ”Old Su, it’s terrible! Our son’s been beaten!”
