Super Rich by Doing as You Please

The next morning, Xu Yun drove Chen Xin to the station.

She now had the charm of a young woman, with less of her previous girlish innocence.

It was as if she had grown up overnight.

The two of them shared a reluctant farewell at the station.

Xu Yun had told her not to go back, that he would buy her a big house in Jiangcheng to live in.

But Chen Xin had refused.

She smiled and said, ”Auntie is home alone, and you’d be worried. She needs someone to look after her.”

”...” Xu Yun was speechless.

’Seriously, where in the world could you find a girl this good?’

Before, when Lin Wanzhou said Xu Yun wasn’t good enough for her, he’d told him he was full of it.

But now, he really felt like he wasn’t good enough for her.

”Thank you.”

Xu Yun said sincerely, ”I’m leaving my mom in your care.”

”Mm.”

Finally, as her departure time drew near, Xu Yun insisted that Chen Xin call him ”husband” just once before he let her go, completely satisfied.

Watching her lovely figure recede into the distance, Xu Yun sent his mom a text message.

”Your daughter-in-law just got on the bus heading back. Remember to save some food for her.”

Zhang Sujuan: ”???”

First came a string of question marks, then a phone call.

The moment Xu Yun answered, his mom asked eagerly, ”What daughter-in-law? Who’s my daughter-in-law?”

”Who do you think?”

”Chen Xin?”

Zhang Sujuan asked, pleasantly surprised, ”You two are together?”

”Yep. Congratulations, your wish came true!”

”Hahaha...”

On the other end of the line, Zhang Sujuan laughed happily at the news. ”So when are you two getting married?” she asked.

”Uh.”

Xu Yun was speechless. ”Mom, we’re just boyfriend and girlfriend. It’s way too early to be talking about marriage.”

”So have you two slept together?”

”Don’t ask me. Go ask your daughter-in-law.”

Xu Yun quickly added, ”I’ve got something to do, so that’s all, I’m hanging up.”

”Hey! Hey! Hey!”

Back in Jiang County, Zhang Sujuan, who had been mopping the floor at home, was no longer in the mood for chores. She immediately called Chen Xin.

”Hello, Chen Xin.”

Zhang Sujuan asked gently, ”I heard from Xu Yun that you’re coming back today?”

”Yes, I just left.”

”Then I’ll wait for you so we can have lunch together.”

”You don’t have to wait for me, Auntie.”

Chen Xin said from the bus, ”I probably won’t arrive until around one in the afternoon.”

”No rush. I’m by myself anyway, so I’ll wait for you.”

Zhang Sujuan then asked with a smile, ”By the way, I heard from Xu Yun that you and my son are together now?”

”Yes.”

”So you’ve been staying at Xu Yun’s place these past few days?”

”Yes.”

”In one room, or separate rooms?”

Chen Xin: ”...”

”Got it, I get it. You just get some rest...”

When Chen Xin didn’t explain or deny it, but simply fell silent, Zhang Sujuan knew the answer.

’They definitely slept together.’

She hung up the phone and immediately started getting ready to go to the supermarket. She was going to buy some groceries and make Chen Xin a nice, nourishing lunch.

’Young people these days are so careless about protection.’

’What if she gets pregnant on the first try and gives me a grandchild?’

’It’s not entirely out of the question.’

Of course, Xu Yun and Chen Xin had no idea that Zhang Sujuan was already thinking so far ahead.

One of them was on the bus, feeling anxious, wondering how she would face Auntie when she got home.

The other hadn’t given these things a single thought.

Not long after seeing Chen Xin off, Xu Yun received a call from Jian Shiwai, who told him that the seller had been in touch. The plane had arrived at Jiangbei International Airport.

She asked if he was free to come and inspect the aircraft.

As soon as Xu Yun heard this, he turned his car around and headed for the airport.

However, it was a deal worth several hundred million, and the seller was a foreign company. To be on the safe side, he called Lin Wanzhou and asked him to come along.

He seemed to recall Lin Wanzhou saying he knew a little about airplanes.

He could help him take a look.

When Lin Wanzhou received Xu Yun’s call and heard he had bought a private jet, he was rather shocked.

He only knew a little about planes himself, and mostly helicopters at that.

So he called for backup, getting a hold of an old army buddy who used to maintain fighter jets to come with him.

Outside the airport, Xu Yun, Lin Wanzhou and his friend, Jian Shiwai, and the representative from the seller all met up before taking a special access route into the airport proper.

It was the first time the sales representative had met the actual buyer.

He hadn’t expected him to be so young.

Usually, the successful people who bought planes from their company were middle-aged men in their forties or fifties.

He said politely to Xu Yun, ”Mr. Xu, this is the Gulfstream G550 business jet you’ve just purchased. As it’s the latest model, its exterior is slightly different from previous versions.”

”Also, regarding the interior features, since you purchased the top-tier configuration, it’s significantly more extensive and luxurious than other G550s.”

Xu Yun gazed at the plane before him, feeling a bit dazed.

Although buying a plane was no longer a difficult feat for him, owning a private jet for the first time still gave him a small thrill of excitement.

He used to be reluctant to even spend money on a commercial flight; he never imagined that he would one day own his very own private jet.

”The exterior looks pretty good.”

Xu Yun said to Lin Wanzhou, ”Old Lin, you and your buddy help me check it out. Let me know if you find any problems.”

”Alright.”

And so, Lin Wanzhou and his friend began to inspect the aircraft.

Meanwhile, Xu Yun, led by the sales representative, went inside the plane with Jian Shiwai to have a look around.

To be honest, it was also Jian Shiwai’s first time ever stepping onto a private jet.

She was even more excited than Xu Yun.

While Xu Yun and the others were inspecting the jet, on another front, President Ma had already called a shareholders’ meeting within the company.

The meeting was scheduled for that very morning.

Su Zhi’an didn’t know why President Ma had suddenly called a shareholders’ meeting. He had asked him privately over the phone, but President Ma hadn’t elaborated, only saying it was related to the company going public.
