Super Rich by Doing as You Please

The bar’s proprietress was a woman in her thirties, still possessing a mature charm.

Perhaps because the room was too hot, she had already taken off her jacket. Underneath, she wore a rather sexy, tight black, hip-hugging dress, paired with black stockings and high heels.

She sat on a chair, her legs crossed, exuding a sensual confidence.

When she saw Xu Yun arrive, her eyes lit up.

’What a handsome man!’

Only then did she stand up, proactively pour him a glass of water, and ask with a smile, ”President Xu, may I ask what brings you to us?”

Before the woman arrived, her man had already given her a brief rundown of Xu Yun’s influence.

As long as his requests weren’t too outrageous, she should agree to whatever she could and avoid offending him.

At the time, the woman had shot back over the phone, ’And what if he suddenly gets ideas and takes a liking to me?’

She’d seen plenty of these rich young masters. The ones who liked to party were rarely good news.

It wasn’t unheard of for men to offer up their own women as ”gifts” to each other for the sake of profit.

’The woman now suspected she was the one being ”gifted” today!’

On the surface, she was the bar owner’s proprietress, and everyone addressed her as such.

But in her heart, she knew she had no legal standing. She was just a mistress he kept on the side.

His real wife was at home taking care of the kids.

’But seeing how handsome he was, she found she didn’t really mind.’

’She even felt a little expectant.’

Men like beautiful women, and women, likewise, like handsome men.

To be honest, Xu Yun hadn’t expected the bar’s proprietress to be such a sexy and charming woman.

In his mind, a woman who dressed and carried herself like this didn’t fit the role of a wife at all. She seemed more like a mistress, or the other woman.

’Maybe it’s because they own a bar? Is that why she has this kind of vibe?’

”Ma’am.”

Xu Yun took the water, his gaze lingering on her for only a moment before shifting away.

He said, ”I came to see you today to discuss something. I’d like to book out the entire venue for a night, the day after tomorrow.”

”Book out the venue?”

”Yes.”

Xu Yun asked, ”I want to hold a small company party here. Would that be possible?”

”Nothing’s impossible. It’s just business, after all.”

The woman said with a smile, ”It’s just the price... As you know, our bar does good business. A single night’s revenue isn’t low—usually two to three million...”

”Then let’s make it three million.”

Xu Yun didn’t bother haggling. He said, ”Three million. I’ll book your bar for the entire day after tomorrow, including all staff. How does that sound?”

The woman was speechless.

’Damn, isn’t he a little too straightforward? He’s not even going to bargain?’

The revenue she had just quoted was a bit inflated. Normally, the bar’s nightly revenue was only around two million; nights that hit three million were rare.

Unless a big spender came and placed a huge order!

Seeing the woman’s silence, Xu Yun said, ”If you can’t make the decision, call your man and ask him now.”

”Then please wait a moment.”

The woman was indeed unsure, so she called her man to ask.

When the bar owner heard, he immediately cursed, ”Are you a fucking idiot? You dare to accept three million for one night? Are you trying to get me killed?”

”He offered it himself.”

”And just because he offered, you accept?”

The bar owner thought for a moment and said, ”Tell him we’ll only charge 1.5 million for the booking. Any drinks they consume will be billed separately, however much that comes to.”

”Okay.”

”Oh, right.”

Over the phone, the bar owner suddenly added, ”If he... has any ideas about you, you go along with it for now. Be nice. I’ll make it up to you when you get back.”

”I’m your woman. Are you really going to give me away?”

”I can’t afford to offend him!”

The bar owner sighed. ”You know Young Master Qin, right? He can get someone thrown in jail with a single word. In our line of work, we’re not afraid of people with money; we’re afraid of people with power.”

”If I’m really done for, you won’t have any good days ahead of you either!”

”Fine, I get it.”

After hanging up, the woman returned to Xu Yun and said with a smile, ”President Xu, my man just said that a booking fee of 1.5 million will be enough. Any drinks you consume will be billed separately, whatever the total may be.”

”Won’t you be taking a big loss that way?”

”Not at all. We’re just not making much of a profit off you, President Xu.”

The woman replied, ”My man said that having President Xu book our venue is a great honor. He sees it as a chance to make a friend.”

”Alright then, it’s settled.”

Xu Yun stood up and said, ”I’ll have someone contact you the morning of the day after tomorrow to arrange the setup a bit.”

”Of course. Our bar’s entire staff will give you their full cooperation.”

Seeing that Xu Yun was about to leave, the woman stepped forward and asked, ”President Xu, are you leaving already?”

”Is there something else, ma’am?”

”Not really. It’s just, since it’s our first time meeting, I was wondering if you had time... could I treat you to a coffee?”

”Some other time.”

Xu Yun had no interest in a ’public bus,’ so he refused, ”I have other things to do today, so I’ll be going.”

Besides, he had promised Su Mu that he would go see Li Jinshu today.

”Alright then. I’ll see you out.”

Zhao Dong was standing at the door and was slightly surprised to see the two of them emerging, the matter concluded so quickly.

Escorted by the two, Xu Yun got in his car and left.

The woman, not in the best of moods after her invitation was rejected, said to Zhao Dong, ”President Xu is booking the venue for the whole day, the day after tomorrow. You’ll be in charge of it.”

Zhao Dong was left speechless.

On the road, Xu Yun sent a message to Li Jinshu, asking if she was at the fitness center. He wanted to go find her and maybe have dinner together that evening.

But Li Jinshu told him she was heading home first and that he should just go straight to her house.
