Super Rich by Doing as You Please

’If you love him, you must be brave enough to be with him. Have faith in him, and have faith in yourself.’

When Xu Yun finished singing, the crowd erupted in thunderous cheers, shouting for him to sing another song.

One particularly bold and pretty girl even walked right up in front of everyone, took the microphone, and confessed to him on the spot.

Student life was just that simple.

Without the interference of too many external factors, feelings were driven more by the rush of youthful hormones.

”Xu Yun, I like you.”

The pretty girl asked loudly, ”Will you be my boyfriend?”

”Thank you, but I’m not interested.”

Xu Yun pointed to Chen Xin at the very edge of the crowd and said with a smile, ”Because my girlfriend is over there watching me.”

The people around followed his finger and turned to look.

Chen Xin instantly became the center of attention.

Chen Xin, who had social anxiety, immediately blushed, standing frozen on the spot, unsure of what to do.

The girl who had just confessed, initially quite confident, immediately recognized the gap between them the moment she saw Chen Xin.

Not only was the other girl gorgeous with a great figure, but she was also dressed in the latest from Louis Vuitton. She was completely out of her league.

The guys in the crowd were also surprised, staring at the stunningly beautiful girl who had suddenly appeared.

Just like the girls earlier, they were also confused.

’Since when did the school have a goddess like her?’

’Why have we never seen her before?’

Xu Yun continued, speaking into the microphone, ”I sang this song tonight just for her. I wanted to tell her that love requires courage, and my Favoritism belongs only to her.”

”Wow~ That’s so romantic.”

”Damn, enough with the PDA.”

”It’s over. We’ve just become part of the background.”

Being confessed to by Xu Yun in front of so many people was something Chen Xin had never experienced before.

Her face flushed red. Ignoring everyone’s gazes, she steeled herself, rushed to the center of the stage, and pulled Xu Yun away, running.

The two of them sprinted for a long time before finally stopping on a distant lawn.

Xu Yun laughed. ”So, did you like the song I sang?”

”You liar.”

Chen Xin said, her face red, ”Didn’t you say you were tone-deaf? But you sang so beautifully.”

”I just had an exceptionally good day today.”

Xu Yun said, ”I was afraid I’d embarrass you and you’d be disappointed in me.”

”I would never be disappointed in you. Don’t you dare say that.”

”Okay, okay, I won’t say it anymore.”

Xu Yun asked curiously, ”How did it feel just now, being envied by so many people?”

”Blissful.”

Chen Xin replied with a smile, ”I feel like the happiest woman in the world. Thank you for your Favoritism.”

”Actually, I feel guilty.”

Xu Yun said, ”Because other than giving you my Favoritism, I don’t have anything else to offer.”

”That’s more than enough.”

Just as the two were chatting, someone suddenly called his name from behind.

”Xu Yun?”

Xu Yun turned around in confusion and said with surprise, ”Teacher Wu?”

”It really is you!”

Wu Jinyan was also surprised. She said with a smile, ”It’s been five or six years since you graduated, hasn’t it? I thought I was mistaken. What made you think of coming back to visit the school?”

Back when Xu Yun was a student, his grades weren’t the best, but he was certainly one of her favorite students.

Because he was savvy and knew how to handle things.

She looked at Chen Xin next to Xu Yun and asked quizzically, ”And this young lady is?”

”This is my girlfriend, Chen Xin.”

Xu Yun explained, ”Chen Xin, this is my university counselor, Teacher Wu. She’s a wonderful teacher.”

”Hello, Teacher Wu,” Chen Xin said politely.

”Hello.”

Wu Jinyan laughed. ”You’re a lucky kid, finding such a beautiful girlfriend. When you two get married, you’d better send me an invitation.”

”Of course, I definitely won’t forget.”

When a teacher and former student meet, it’s only natural to chat for a while and catch up on each other’s work and life.

Wu Jinyan asked with concerned curiosity, ”Where are you working now that you’ve graduated? It looks like you’ve already established your career, haven’t you?”

She had even thought about introducing her own daughter to him back then.

But the kid was completely against it, saying a man must first establish his career before starting a family. He refused to meet her daughter no matter what, so the matter was eventually dropped.

”I wouldn’t say I’ve established my career.”

Xu Yun said humbly, ”It was hard to find a job, so I started a small business of my own. With a bit of good luck, I managed to earn a little bit of money.”

”Sigh, the job market really is getting worse and worse.”

Wu Jinyan sighed. ”You’re one of the lucky ones. Many of your juniors face unemployment right after graduation. They’re all studying hard for the postgraduate exams to stay in school, trying to delay entering the workforce and facing real life.”

Xu Yun just smiled and didn’t comment.

’It’s the state of the world. No one can change it.’

After all, there are more and more university graduates these days, so a degree isn’t worth as much as it used to be.

It’s truly difficult for anyone to find a good job, so many people are caught in the rat race for positions within the government system.

’The ultimate goal in life really is a stable government job.’

Xu Yun noticed the thick stack of documents in Teacher Wu’s hands and changed the subject, asking curiously, ”Teacher Wu, are you still busy with work this late at night?”

”There’s no other choice.”

Hearing this, Wu Jinyan said helplessly, ”The school has too few scholarships these days. So many people apply every year, but the number of spots is limited, so they’re incredibly hard to get.

Among my students, there are some from low-income families who clearly meet the criteria, but they still can’t get one.

All I can do is go to the department and try to fight for them.”

”It wasn’t this difficult when I was a student.”

Wu Jinyan simply said, ”The leadership has changed,” and didn’t elaborate further.

Xu Yun understood the implication.

He asked tentatively, ”Teacher Wu, what if I were willing to donate money to establish a special scholarship program within the department, specifically to fund outstanding students from low-income families? Would that be possible?”
