Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Xino arrived, parked the car, and walked into the coffee shop. Inside, she saw that besides Xu Yun, there was another man.

She recognized him. It was Lin Wanzhou.

The tour guide-slash-bodyguard from her last trip with Xu Yun.

”Hello, Brother Lin.”

Xino smiled and greeted him politely before sitting down next to Xu Yun.

”Hello, Miss Xi.”

Lin Wanzhou remembered her, too. After all, they had been through a life-and-death situation together.

Character-wise, she was a great girl.

She was born a princess but didn’t have any of the attitude, which made her very likable.

”Xu Yun.”

Xino asked in confusion, ”If you and Brother Lin have business to discuss, why did you ask me to come?”

”To have you bring the car over.”

Xu Yun said, ”Give the car keys to Old Lin. He needs to use my car today.”

”Oh.”

Xino immediately handed the car keys to Lin Wanzhou. ”The car’s parked right outside,” she said.

”Alright, thanks.”

Lin Wanzhou took the keys and stood up. ”You two continue your date. I’ll get going.”

”Do you know how to drive it?”

Xu Yun asked, a little worried, ”Want me to come out and show you?”

”I could push it there if I had to.”

”Easy on the gas.”

Since he’d never driven a sports car, Xu Yun gave him a well-meaning reminder. ”That car has a ton of horsepower. I don’t want to see you on the news tomorrow.”

”Alright, I got it.”

After Lin Wanzhou left, Xu Yun said, ”Come on, let’s go follow him quietly and see what happens.”

Xino: ”???”

”Old Lin is just being stubborn. I’m afraid he really won’t figure it out. The ignition and some of the function buttons are all in English.”

With that, the two of them followed him.

Sure enough, from the cafe’s entrance, they watched Lin Wanzhou get in the car and fumble around for a long time, unable to start it.

Xino: ”Should we go over and help him?”

”Don’t.”

Xu Yun shook his head with a smile. ”If we go now, he’ll be so embarrassed. Let’s wait a little longer.”

”It’s strange... Brother Lin’s personality doesn’t seem to fit this kind of car.”

Xino asked, confused, ”Why did he borrow your car today?”

”Because he’s going to the station later to pick up someone he likes.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”It’s her first time visiting, so he wants to give her the best experience possible.”

”Oh, so that’s why.”

Xino couldn’t help but smile. ”Picking someone up in your car today... he’ll definitely look super cool and impressive.”

「A few minutes later.」

Lin Wanzhou finally started the car and drove away.

”Hahaha, looks like he’s got some natural talent after all.”

Xu Yun said, ”Alright, let’s go have some fun.”

”Where to?”

”You’re in charge today. Wherever you want to take me, we’ll go!”

”Well...”

Xino thought for a moment and said, ”How about we go play golf? I haven’t played in a long time.”

”Okay, I’ll call a car.”

A ride-share car soon accepted their request and dropped the two of them off at the entrance of a golf club at a resort in the suburbs.

The doorman looked at the car, which wasn’t a luxury vehicle, and was a bit surprised.

Very few guests came here without driving themselves, and they almost always arrived in a luxury car.

This was the first time he had seen someone arrive in a ride-share.

But the doorman wasn’t an idiot; he wouldn’t assume someone was poor and look down on them just because they took a ride-share.

Xino’s aura and attire practically screamed that she was a rich, beautiful heiress.

Xu Yun, on the other hand, was dressed casually. He usually wore more common, mass-market brands.

After all, he was long past the stage of needing to wear luxury brands to flaunt his wealth.

He had returned to a simpler, more authentic state.

But the air of confidence that came from a life of wealth was something he couldn’t hide.

”Welcome, sir and miss.” The doorman held the main door open for them, and a lobby manager guided them to the front desk.

”Hello, sir and miss.”

The front desk clerk said, ”Could you please present your membership cards, or provide your member numbers?”

”Xino, card number 378,” Xu Yun answered. ”I don’t have a membership here. I’d like to get one now.”

”???”

Xino asked in surprise from the side, ”You don’t have a membership here?”

This was Jiangcheng’s most prestigious golf club. Pretty much every wealthy person who played golf was a member here.

In her mind, Xu Yun should have been one of them.

”Yeah.”

Xu Yun smiled and retorted, ”Why would I? This is my first time here.”

”That’s not it, I just find it a little strange.”

Xino explained, ”Basically, anyone who plays golf gets a membership here.”

”Oh, maybe it’s because I didn’t play golf before, so I didn’t know about this place.”

”Even so, you should have at least heard of it.”

Xino smiled. ”But it’s fine. If you don’t have a card, you can use my brother’s or my dad’s.”

”Nah, I might end up coming here with you from time to time, so I might as well get my own.”

Xu Yun turned to the clerk. ”Please sign me up for a membership.”

”Of course, sir.”

The clerk said with a smile, ”Sir, our lowest tier is the regular annual membership at 300,000 per year, and our highest is the Diamond membership at 1,000,000 per year. Which one would you be interested in?”

”The one-million-a-year one.”

Xu Yun took out his black card and handed it to her.

”Right away, sir. Please wait just a moment.”

The moment the clerk saw the black card, she knew she was dealing with another top-tier, wealthy VIP.

A few minutes later, after he had filled out some information, the process was complete.

He then spent over a hundred thousand more on a set of golfing equipment.

Afterward, a dedicated attendant guided the two of them further into the club.

Along the way, the attendant explained the various privileges and services that came with the Diamond membership.
