Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Chapter 525: Chapter 101: Seed of Destruction_2

Seeing the situation before him, Mara quickly connected his communications with his new subordinates.

”Bring out Number 4.”

Mara had a total of five new underlings. Tired of their long names, Mara simply numbered them from 1 to 5.

Within three seconds, a Peak Level 4 Mutant Beast, with a huge nose and a weird physique that couldn’t be identified as either a pig or a dog, crawled out from the Demon Realm’s Gate.

”Follow!” Mara waved his hand and ran off with Number 4 to a location.

In less than a minute, Mara had already led Number 4 to a place teeming with Demon Fiends.

”This is the place,” Mara said. ”There are traces of three humans here. Find them and then do as I instructed.”

Mara blabbered on and on, leaving Number 4 seeing stars.

Seeing the listless expression on Number 4’s face, Mara felt helpless.

It has to be said, why does the Ancient Demon Tribe hold the reins of the Demon Tribe? Other than strength, the most important thing is intelligence!

With a light sigh, Mara reflected on his own standing. My authority in the Demon Tribe isn’t too high. Without genuine strength, what’s the use of a brain? The Demon Tribe is still a world where powerful experts reign supreme, so I can’t get high-quality subordinates. Numbers 1 to 5 can only be described as ’the tallest dwarfs’...

Sighing out his frustrations, Mara tried to simplify his battle plan as much as possible.

”Simply put,” Mara explained, ”you follow these three humans, then send out some mediocre guys to harass them as much as you can. Just the typical ’prince protecting the princess’ kind of play! The point is not to kill anyone, get it? Oh well, I doubt you could kill them anyway...”

”Hehe... Sir, is it really that simple?” Number 4 asked.

Seeing Number 4’s bewildered expression, Mara really wanted to slaughter this moron right there. The plan isn’t originally simple, but could you even handle a complex one?

He nodded. ”Yes, it’s that simple. I’m assigning you some subordinates now. Do as I’ve said, and keep me updated on these three humans’ positions at all times.”

”Hehe... Ah-le-ka-da-ski... Number 4, roger,” Number 4 replied.

After receiving his orders, Number 4’s large nose twitched violently a few times as he distinguished the remaining scents in the air. After a while, his four stubby legs pumping, Number 4 ran off into the distance.

It has to be said, even though Number 4’s fighting abilities aren’t great, his diminutive stature makes him hard to detect, and his excellent sense of smell comes in handy in certain situations. In other words, there’s no such thing as a useless skill, only a useless user, right?

After giving instructions to Number 4, Mara once again pulled out an irregular, mirror-like object, quickly scanning for the positions of Wen Yu and Qin Tian.

Qin Tian was still hiding in deep crevices in the ground. This position was pretty good, and with small items hiding his aura, plus the fact that there weren’t any powerful experts from the Demon Tribe on this battlefield at the moment, Qin Tian had managed to stay hidden.

Actually, even if he were found out, it wouldn’t matter much. Wen Yu had slaughtered three flame sorcerers, a Spider Demon Hunter, and one-third of the Ancient Demon Battalion. After that, even if Qin Tian crawled out from his hiding spot, he could still escape as long as his luck wasn’t too bad.

Seeing that the main character for his next game was unharmed, Mara relaxed and then began to locate Wen Yu.

And then, Mara saw Wen Yu, who was far away. The mirror’s resolution was extremely high. Mara could even see that Cyclops’s one-eyed head was almost fully regrown and that Victor’s fur had once again become glossy and beautiful. He could also see that Star was now capable of flying high.

Then, Mara saw Wen Yu turn around as countless vines began to spread...

”Tsk, tsk. Things are getting serious. I won’t join you,” Mara muttered, quickly putting away the mirror and fleeing in the opposite direction from Wen Yu.

Seeing the massive Demon Tribe Army in front of him, Wen Yu lightly licked the corner of his mouth.

Wen Yu found that he had really come to love the feeling of the Almighty Demon Vine absorbing Blood and Flesh Essence to increase his body’s physical limits.

That feeling... The more I feel it, the better... Wen Yu thought.

Turning around, Wen Yu looked at his three soul pets, which had largely recovered. His face revealed the smallest hint of a sinister smile.

”Children, let’s begin,” he said. ”This time, let’s all have a good time.”

The next second, Victor couldn’t wait any longer and rushed forward. Mid-leap, the Netherworld was initiated with full force.

Countless humans and mutant beasts transformed into Netherworld Warriors, roaring and charging towards the distant Demon Group. The various lights of their abilities rapidly overwhelmed the vision of all the Demon Fiends.

This was the true terror of Victor—a single cat was equivalent to a fearless army.

Of course, Netherworld Warriors could die. Currently, all of the Netherworld Warriors were professionists and mutant beasts who had died in the battle of Las Vegas.

However, Victor wouldn’t deceive himself with the thought of keeping them in the Netherworld as some kind of memento. Dead is dead. Netherworld Warriors are not the remnants of the deceased, but avenging specters! Since just a moment ago these people, my subjects and friends, were crushed like ants... now, use the Netherworld Warriors you’ve become to complete this revenge... You will avenge yourselves... This was Victor’s thinking, simple and straightforward.

Surrounded by tens of thousands of Netherworld Warriors, Victor, transformed into his battle form—over ten meters tall and exuding a coldly aloof aura—seemed like a monarch leading his invincible army, crushing the overwhelming Demon Group before them!

Occasionally, a few Level Five Demon Fiends charged into the Netherworld. Victor manipulated the Netherworld’s rules and easily crushed them into meaty pulp.

Within the Netherworld, by altering its rules and combining them with the Netherworld Warriors, the power the warriors could exert far exceeded their own level.

While Victor was reveling in slaughter on one side, Cyclops and Star had already found their own hunting grounds.

For Star, this battlefield wasn’t very useful. Apart from providing points for Wen Yu, the only benefit for Star was probably an ample supply of delicious magic crystal snacks.

However, for Cyclops, this hunting ground was extremely useful.

Cyclops hunted methodically. Tightly tailing Star, whenever he found a formidable-looking or skillfully flashy Powerful Demon, Cyclops would immediately pounce, crush it, open his mouth wide, and swallow it within seconds.

Looking at it this way... Cyclops, this fellow... It seems, contrary to what he says, he isn’t entirely indifferent to his appearance after all...

Wen Yu remained standing on the original earthen slope, watching his three soul pets crazily hunting Demon Fiends below, yet he himself did not move an inch.

Wen Yu was waiting... waiting for the Demon Tribe’s next move.

After a while, the Demon Tribe finally reacted—they fled.

This didn’t surprise Wen Yu; they obviously couldn’t win. Besides, Wen Yu and his soul pets weren’t deeply trapped in the Demon Tribe’s encirclement. The choice to fight or flee rested entirely with Wen Yu. Combined with his own high mobility, it was no exaggeration to say that on this battlefield, Wen Yu was already invincible.

However, fleeing... there were many ways to flee.

In the distance, the massive horde of Demon Fiends scattered instantly—like a drop of water shattering upon hitting the ground.

Seeing this, Wen Yu’s eyebrows furrowed. The intelligence of these Demon Bastards is seriously not low. This method can effectively curb my large-scale slaughter!

However... ordinary Demon Fiends could run. Now that the Demon Realm’s Gate is open, there are countless such creatures. Where wouldn’t I find them? But I can’t let some of the powerful Demon Tribe members get away so easily!

”Hunt freely. If anything happens, contact me immediately!”

After issuing the command for free hunting to his three soul pets, Wen Yu looked towards a highly conspicuous figure in the distance, nearly fifty meters tall. He instantly transformed into a streak of Black Light and floated towards the target.

This big guy... He should have a lot of physical energy, right?
