Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Chapter 514: Chapter 96: Falling_1

Outside.

In mid-air, under the control of three similar-looking demon spawn, the meteor continued to grow in size, its Energy Fluctuations intensifying in unison.

The demon spawn at the forefront carefully assessed the skill’s destructive potential and the lingering Energy Fluctuations on the Purple Light Spawn and Grow Barrier. Then, it initiated a Souln Fluctuation towards the two kin behind it.

”It’s ready! Prepare for impact!”

”Received!”

”Received!”

The next second, the three demon spawn simultaneously cut off the skill’s energy output and turned to flee.

They knew full well the power of their own skill... The might of this behemoth... It truly deserved to be called a strategic-level skill! To use a popular saying, when I go crazy, I don’t even spare my own kind. Considering the power of the meteor currently falling from the sky, this mission should be completed very quickly!

「Within the Purple Light Spawn and Grow Barrier.」

In less than a minute, Qin Tian had sprinted to the Red Stone Hotel.

The sight of the devastated Red Stone Hotel made Qin Tian’s heart clench. He had naturally heard the earlier booming sounds from this location. Returning now, he still clung to a sliver of hope.

He quickly dashed into the Red Stone Hotel. Even upon seeing two stiff Arthur duplicants, Qin Tian didn’t flinch and charged directly into the basement. What greeted him was a scene of blood and mangled flesh covering the floor...

Qin Tian’s heart sank uncontrollably.

After standing there in a daze for nearly ten seconds, Qin Tian finally snapped back to reality.

Quickly pulling out his communicator, Qin Tian dialed Arthur’s number directly.

”BEEP... BEEP...”

Two consecutive busy tones sounded before a faint, weak female voice finally came from the other end of the communicator.

”Who... is... it...”

The sound of whistling wind mingled with the woman’s voice, making the communicator’s signal terrible. Yet, to Qin Tian, this broken, intermittent sound was like the most beautiful melody in the world.

”It’s Qin Tian! Sister, is that you?”

”It’s me... Big Brother... I’m with Arthur... Run Fast...”

Before Qin Shiyuan could finish, a deafening BOOM resounded, followed by a violent tremor.

Simultaneously, the connection seemed to be affected by some unknown energy. The communicator suddenly emitted a continuous busy tone, and he could no longer receive any signal.

At this moment, Qin Tian had a sudden realization.

The current situation... It seems I’m in even greater danger than Qin Shiyuan...

Although he didn’t know Qin Shiyuan’s current whereabouts, or which direction Arthur and the others had fled...

But one thing was clear: Qin Shiyuan was not in any mortal danger.

Qin Tian ached for his sister, but her location was unknown, and the meteor was about to crash down on his own head. For Qin Tian, this was no time to worry about his sister—he had to save himself.

He bolted out of the basement and onto the street by the Red Stone Hotel’s main entrance. Choosing a direction at random, Qin Tian looked up at the sky.

In the sky, the meteor, now fully formed, was already pressing down on the Purple Light Spawn and Grow Barrier from directly above!

For the professionists trapped within the Purple Light Spawn and Grow Barrier, the purple light shield had once been a cage. Now, it was their only hope of survival.

A vast amount of energy still lingered, undissipated, within the Purple Light Spawn and Grow Barrier’s shield. This residual energy became the first line of defense, a heavy shield against the meteor. For a moment, the burning meteor and the purple light shield ground against each other with violent friction. Thunderous roars and explosions ripped through the sky, spreading far and wide—it was like the end of the world, a cataclysmic disaster!

However, watching the purple light shield waver precariously, Qin Tian knew it wouldn’t last long without an energy supply.

His assessment of the situation took only seconds. Qin Tian fixed on a direction, forced himself to clear his mind of Qin Shiyuan’s safety, and sprinted with all his might.

Meanwhile, at the Red Stone Hotel’s northern defense line, the professionists and mutant beasts who had survived the earlier slaughter also spotted the colossal meteor taking shape overhead.

No order for evacuation was needed. Droves of professionists and mutant beasts scrambled out from the ruins, desperately scattering in all directions, each trying to save their own skin from the wide-scale attack.

More interestingly, the massive Devil Army surrounding the Red Stone Hotel also reacted.

When the meteor appeared above them, the entire Devil Army erupted into chaos...

This plan... the Demon Tribe Battle Command hadn’t informed the cannon fodder legions within the Purple Light Spawn and Grow Barrier. After all, they were merely sacrifices.

But even the weakest Demon Fiend possessed fear and the instinct to survive.

At this moment, these Demon Fiends ignored their original combat objectives. Just like the professionists and mutant beasts, they immediately broke formation and fled towards the edges of the Purple Light Spawn and Grow Barrier.

In some places, astonishingly, professionists and Demon Fiends were even seen fleeing shoulder-to-shoulder.

「In a ruin on the northern defense line.」

Claus remained quietly under a concrete slab, seemingly oblivious to the chaos and shouts from the outside world. He could, of course, sense the intense vibrations and heat from above. After all, at this point, with his level of strength, Claus knew perfectly well what catastrophe was about to unfold...
