Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Chapter 438: Chapter 107: Rock Python

After listening to the hippopotamus recount what it had seen earlier.

Chen Wen furrowed his brows.

So, Feng Zhong returned with Adam Locke.

Could they have formed an alliance?

Otherwise, why would they be on the same dugout canoe?

But what about the previous elimination?

The art of self-sacrifice!

Suddenly inspired, Chen Wen slapped his thigh.

It’s most likely that!

But as he realized it, Chen Wen couldn’t help but let out a hiss.

Given Feng Zhong’s arrogant nature, how could he possibly agree to such a plan?

Unless...

Could it be Jamie’s last words that provoked him?

Chen Wen scratched his head.

He had a general understanding of Feng Zhong’s personality.

Arrogant, easily inflated, highly competitive.

If he indeed was provoked by Jamie’s last words and became wary of himself, forming an alliance with Adam is truly possible.

After all, as someone who hunts elephants, I am indeed a threat to him.

To eliminate this threat, forming an alliance with Adam, even at a loss to himself, would be possible.

”I understand. You’ve done exceptionally well!”

Chen Wen praised the hippopotamus.

The information the hippopotamus brought back this time was extremely important.

After confirming that Feng Zhong and Adam had formed an alliance, Chen Wen prepared himself to deal with it.

He didn’t intend to confront all three directly but instead planned to utilize the mobility of the hippopotamus and the reconnaissance abilities of the leopard brothers.

Fight a guerrilla war.

Wear out the three, and then seize the opportunity to break their defenses.

Speaking of the leopard brothers, when Feng Zhong left, Leopard the First hadn’t been exposed yet.

Thinking of this, Chen Wen quickly called Leopard the Second over.

He instructed, ”Tell your big brother to leave and wait for instructions in the dark outside, just like before.”

”Okay.”

Leopard the Second, although unaware of what was happening, didn’t ask much upon seeing Chen Wen’s tense appearance.

Coming to Leopard the First’s side, Leopard the Second nuzzled against Leopard the First’s body with its nose, then let out a series of whimper-like roars.

Leopard the First responded with two roars and then stood up, walking over to Chen Wen.

Chen Wen understood what Leopard the First meant and quickly scratched its chin, making it comfortable for a moment.

After finishing the pampering, Leopard the First let out a satisfied roar.

It leisurely left the camp, disappearing into the night.

...

As Chen Wen was instructing Leopard the First to leave.

As night fell, Feng Zhong slipped into the forest.

He glanced around and couldn’t help but curse under his breath.

This damn place is too dark!

Finding a large tree in the dark, he climbed up with the intention of making do with the night.

He found a comfortable position, leaned against a branch, and closed his eyes to rest.

But he hadn’t rested long.

Feng Zhong heard footsteps.

He quickly opened his eyes and used the drone’s night vision mode to scout the surroundings.

”It’s us.”

Adam and the others arrived, also holding a drone.

”We were just scouting with the drone and saw the trees here shaking, so we came over.”

Adam’s voice eased Feng Zhong’s tension.

He whispered, ”Did you discover anything?”

Adam nodded, signaling Feng Zhong to come down.

He drew a simple map on the ground and said, ”I found a burning bonfire through the drone’s night vision mode, it should be Chen Wen. I didn’t dare to get close in case he discovered?”

After marking Chen Wen’s location on the map, Adam continued, ”He’s on that hill, surrounded by a large forest.”

”We’re about a kilometer away from there.”

After Adam finished, Locke added, ”According to Adam’s and my thoughts, should we approach? It might be a chance to eliminate Chen Wen.”

Hearing this, Feng Zhong immediately waved his hand, ”Impossible.”

”Chen Wen’s beast has a leopard. I remember I mentioned it, leopards are naturally nocturnal. That animal’s leg was injured, so it definitely can’t run far and is most likely tethered near Chen Wen’s shelter.”

”If we go over, we’ll definitely be smelled by the leopard or heard. If it roars, won’t our ambush be ruined?”

This made Adam and the others nod repeatedly.

”Alright, let’s not talk more about the ambush. What’s your plan for afterwards? We can’t just wait outside all the time?”

Locke asked.

Feng Zhong glanced at Locke and said, ”Of course, I have a plan. Don’t worry about it. If it goes well, by this time tomorrow, survival will be over.”

Adam and Locke remained silent.

After a while, Adam asked, ”You plan to act tomorrow? Tell us the plan so Locke and I can cooperate with you.”

”Alright, since you insist on knowing, I’ll tell you.”

Feng Zhong lazily replied, ”After waking up tomorrow, I’ll go find Chen Wen and deceive him with the previous rhetoric, then I’ll rest at his camp under the guise of being tired from the journey. Around noon, when Chen Wen takes a nap, I’ll see if I can steal his satellite phone.”

”If it doesn’t work, then wait until night, and by then, either steal it or directly subdue him. As for you guys, just wait around for my action, don’t hold me back!”

Saying this, he specifically glanced at Locke.

This made Locke very frustrated.

Adam lightly patted Locke’s shoulder and then said, ”Alright, let’s follow your plan. Here’s some food, have a rest first, Locke and I also need to find some shelter.”

Feng Zhong waved his hand, saying no more.

After leaving some food, Adam and Locke quietly left.

...

On Chen Wen’s side, the meat had been roasted.

He was quite interested in the meat of the African rock python that Jamie left behind.

Of course, it was about the entry.

After roasting it again, Chen Wen picked up a piece of python meat and ate it in big bites.

The taste was mediocre and even had a bit of a muddy smell.

But the texture of the meat was rather nice.

After eating the python meat, the entry was indispensable.

[Please make a choice within one minute or give up! If overdue, the first entry will be chosen automatically!]

These two entries are quite interesting!

Looking at [Ambush] and [Constrict], Chen Wen was caught in a dilemma.

[Constrict] filled many of Chen Wen’s shortcomings.

While [Ambush] enriched his stealth attack flow.

But after thinking it over, Chen Wen felt that [Ambush] somewhat overlapped with previous entries.

Therefore, he decided to fill his weakness—[Constrict].

After choosing his entry, Chen Wen ate a hearty meal and began to rest.

He was fully prepared and planned to abandon his current shelter at the break of dawn, heading to the Kuanduo River to start the guerrilla war.

He would inform the hippopotamus during their meeting in the morning.

This time, the hippopotamus would still have to exert effort.

This trip to Caprivi, the hippopotamus could be considered undoubtedly the best assistant.

Thinking about these random things, Chen Wen gradually fell asleep.

The hippopotamus grazed on the riverbank outside the shelter, while Leopard the Second lay at a distance from the bonfire, remaining vigilant of their surroundings.
