Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Chapter 428: Chapter 97: Kill

How did Xiahou Dun endure it back then?

Looking at the elephant that seemed mad, Chen Wen couldn’t help but ponder this question.

Just now, the African elephant was cosplaying as Xiahou Dun.

As its long trunk pulled down the javelin, the barbs also tore away a large bloody chunk of flesh.

One of the elephant’s eyes was completely destroyed.

Chen Wen stood calmly on the side where the elephant’s eye was blinded, watching its pain.

Elephants’ eyes are different from humans’, they are positioned on the sides of their bodies.

If one eye is destroyed on one side, the elephant finds it hard to see you on that side.

Chen Wen took advantage of this and hid himself.

Later, the hippo adjusted and charged again.

This time, Chen Wen waved it over to his side, continuously harassing the elephant from that direction.

Meanwhile, Chen Wen stepped into the woods and slowly disappeared from the camera’s view.

Moments later, two leopards emerged from the shadows of the trees, starting their attack from the elephant’s blinded side.

They continuously scratched the elephant, adding more wounds to its body.

Under this intense assault, the elephant soon became exhausted.

It began to struggle, using its tusks to clear a path, trying to flee into the woods.

With a certain level of intelligence, the African elephant knew that if it wanted to leave, no creature could stop it.

But the African elephant overlooked the effect of the poison on it.

With continued fighting and movement, the poison ingested by the elephant had quickly spread through its blood and nerves.

The elephant was now at the peak of its poisoning.

After running just a few steps, the sudden onset of dizziness blurred its vision.

Already blind in one eye, it couldn’t see clearly ahead and stumbled into a large tree.

The tree couldn’t injure the elephant but it halted its steps.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, the two leopards added several more wounds to the elephant.

At this moment, Leopard the Second was quite excited.

Chen Wen’s tactics had opened a new world for them.

It roared while urging its big, lumbering brother to retreat in time to avoid being grabbed by the elephant’s trunk.

Simultaneously communicating with the hippo, urging it to attack the elephant’s injured hind leg fiercely.

The hippo lunged with its mouth open, its tusks piercing the elephant’s skin.

Pained, the elephant kicked the hippo with its pillar-like leg.

But the hippo’s thick skin and tough flesh withstood the elephant’s kicks and pierced again.

The elephant’s painful cries echoed out.

In the woods, the sound even shook Chen Wen, who was predicting the elephant’s path.

Its massive size made even its vocalization a weapon of great lethality.

He rubbed his ears.

Chen Wen took a deep breath and squatted on a tree branch.

This was the ideal ambush spot he chose after his predictions.

Simply making the elephant bleed was not enough to kill it.

A real heavy blow was necessary to slow its pace.

And the only one capable of that was Chen Wen!

Therefore, Chen Wen planned to use his latent skills to ambush the elephant!

The [Tree Strike] was launched first!

The wind at high altitude gradually carried away Chen Wen’s scent, making it disappear from the elephant’s senses.

[Hide], [Sneak Attack] were subsequently activated.

It was as if Chen Wen was erased from this world, vanishing in the treetops.

The unsuspecting elephant, driven deliberately by the hippo and the two leopards, staggered over.

Closer!

Even closer!

When the elephant was about ten meters in front of Chen Wen.

All the humans witnessing this, including Chen Wen, tensed their nerves.

Eight meters, five meters, three meters, one meter!

Chen Wen, like a sugar glider diving off, suddenly leaped towards the elephant’s back.

But unlike a sugar glider.

It leaps onto its owner for fun.

Chen Wen leaped onto the elephant for slaughter!

Using the core strength provided by the [Tree Strike], Chen Wen maintained his posture and landed steadily on the elephant’s back.

He didn’t use an axe, but pulled out a long spear.

The moment he landed on the elephant’s back, he suddenly [spun] to face the elephant’s back of the neck.

He raised the long spear high and thrust it in!

The elephant’s several centimeters thick skin was like paper against the steel weapon.

The blade tore through the skin tissue, deeply piercing into the muscle, reaching the bone!

Without waiting for the elephant to react, Chen Wen exerted more force again!

He slightly pulled out the long spear, steadied his balance, and thrust down once more!

The power beyond human physical limits acted upon the long spear, causing it to nail into the elephant’s bone again.

Bang!

A muffled sound, a force from the spear transmitted to Chen Wen’s hand.

Couldn’t break it.

Chen Wen was somewhat frustrated; he thought he could directly break the elephant’s bone with the spear.

But now it seems, he overestimated.

To bear their weight, elephant bones are much, much harder than those of ordinary animals.

Helplessly, Chen Wen fiercely pulled out the spear and stabbed to the side, injuring the elephant’s internal organs.

With a ”spring leaping,” he jumped to the side.

”All together!”

Noticing the elephant’s steps become faltering after this attack, Chen Wen hesitated no more.

After all, he doesn’t have much time left; he must seize the absolute victory under the effects of the ”Stimulant.”

The hippo heard the command and charged forward.

It displayed its stubborn nature to the fullest, charging towards the elephant’s hind legs without hesitation.

Multiple injuries to its hind legs caused the elephant to no longer support itself.

Accompanied by a mournful cry, the elephant’s hind leg weakened, and the rear half of its body slowly kneeled to the ground.

The hippo pursued, using its body to ram into the elephant’s body.

Under the impact of the hippo, the elephant’s back half collapsed to the ground with a thud.

Only the forelimbs remained supporting, preventing the entire body from falling.

But this is already quite fatal!

The hippo has accomplished a great feat!

Seeing this scene, Chen Wen immediately grew excited.

The elephant has fallen!

He whistled, and the two leopards surged forward.

One gnawed at the head’s skin, that was Leopard the First.

The other eyed the wounded hind leg, tearing it, that was Leopard the Second.

Chen Wen picked up an axe and quickly approached the elephant’s side.

He remembered the side of the elephant bearing traces of damage from the blades.

Finding the old wound, Chen Wen lifted the axe and chopped down.

The old wound hadn’t healed, but new injuries were added.

This heavy blow caused the elephant’s body to tremble and completely lose the ability to stand.

Its body shook and fell heavily to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dirt.

A sense of despair emanated from the elephant’s heart.

”Beautiful!”

Chen Wen tossed away the axe, hesitated no more.

He grabbed a long spear, roughly estimating the position of the elephant’s heart, aimed, and thrust fiercely!

A ripping sound.

The long spear pierced into the elephant’s soft chest, tearing the muscle and damaging the internal organs.

With the elephant’s constant lamentation, its life continuously ebbed away.

”It’s about to die.”

Chen Wen looked at the dying elephant and spoke softly.

As he slowly pulled out the long spear, the elephant could no longer wail but lay on the ground, breathing heavily.

Bright red blood seeped from the corner of its mouth, and finally, under the watchful eyes of Chen Wen and the three animals.

This once rampaging berserk male elephant ended its tumultuous life.

”We won.”

Chen Wen sighed and slowly sat on the ground.

The tense body relaxed; his hands trembled slightly from excessive exertion.

This battle with the elephant was not just physical exhaustion but mental torment.

Beside him, the leopard brothers stared at the massive elephant corpse, already drooling.

The hippo came over to check on Chen Wen and seeing he was okay, it wobbled towards the river.

This time on land was quite long for it; its skin had dried to a certain extent.

If it didn’t get into the water soon, it might crack.

Sitting on the ground for a while, Chen Wen finally recovered.

He looked around, and the two leopards were gazing eagerly at him.

Leopard the Second was better, but Leopard the First was drooling without any decorum, looking quite greedy.

Chen Wen looked at the two leopards and said, ”Although the elephant still has remnants of toxins in its body, cassava poison will dissipate, and given its size, truly eating it won’t result in much poisoning. It should be edible, but you’d better wait for a while.”

He grasped a machete, sliced off a piece of meat from the elephant’s abdomen, and left the rest to the two leopards.
