Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Chapter 437: Chapter 106: The Hippo’s Discovery

Chen Wen temporarily did not act rashly and stayed in his new shelter.

Without elephants, this place is a natural survival haven.

Therefore, Chen Wen chose to wait here for changes to occur.

Such as Feng Zhong eliminating either Adam or one of them being eliminated by the other.

But upstream of the river,

Adam and Feng Zhong are finalizing a plan to eliminate Chen Wen.

”I don’t think it needs to be so complicated.”

Rock said directly, ”Let’s all go at once. Through taking turns and non-stop harassment, we’ll mentally exhaust Chen Wen. Eventually, one person will make the move and directly eliminate him.”

Hearing this, neither Feng Zhong nor Adam responded.

The two were still rather cautious.

After thinking for a moment, Adam said, ”We should still be cautious. Your method can be used as a backup plan. Actually, I have an idea.”

Feng Zhong glanced at Adam, took a sip of hot tea, ”Tell me.”

”In your Hua Country people’s words, this plan can be called the ’stratagem of inflicting injury upon oneself’!”

Adam’s eyes glimmered with intelligence, ”Waste one of your chances and use the broadcast to let Chen Wen know that there was a conflict between you and us.”

”Then you go over to Chen Wen, pretend to join him, and find an opportunity to waste his first life. We’ll be ambushed around, and once his first life is wasted, the two of us will come out and easily eliminate him. What do you think?”

This plan made Feng Zhong’s eyes keep flashing.

He could sense that Adam was trying to weaken him while eliminating Chen Wen.

Therefore, Feng Zhong said, ”It can work, but it needs to be modified. At that time, I told Chen Wen that I was planning to eliminate you guys. My strength should be clear to both him and you.”

”If it’s just that you two waste my first life without any loss, it seems too fake.”

Rock immediately stated, ”I still have a life. You can waste it, or even eliminate me.”

This made Feng Zhong nod slightly; that was exactly what he thought.

”It’s okay, but I think Rock should stay alive. This way, all three of us can have assurance. Don’t forget, our opponent is a human who managed to hunt down an elephant!”

Adam said.

Feng Zhong extended his hand and said no more, ”Pleasure to work together!”

”Pleasure!”

Adam and Feng Zhong’s hands gripped tightly.

...

Since the decision was made to eliminate Chen Wen, the plan naturally had to be executed quickly.

Feng Zhong took out his satellite phone.

”Give me yours and Rock’s too.”

Feng Zhong said.

He didn’t fully trust Adam and Rock.

Adam reluctantly handed his satellite phone to Feng Zhong, who immediately placed it at his waist.

After Rock’s satellite phone was handed over to him, he then gave his own satellite phone to Adam.

”I’ll go first.”

Feng Zhong said unyieldingly.

He dialed Rock’s satellite phone and wasted Rock’s resurrection armor.

After Feng Zhong eliminated him, Rock immediately reached out for his satellite phone.

Adam also wasted Feng Zhong’s resurrection armor.

Without waiting for the satellite call to disconnect, Feng Zhong asked for his back and then returned Adam’s to him.

Adam reluctantly accepted his satellite phone and complained, ”Mr. Feng, your lack of trust in others will leave you short of allies.”

Upon hearing this, Feng Zhong laughed.

He nonchalantly said, ”As long as your strength is strong enough, people will always seek to ally with you. Isn’t that what you guys did?”

Adam and Rock shrugged unwillingly when they heard this.

It wasn’t by choice; if there were a choice, who would want to ally with Feng Zhong?

...

Over at Chen Wen’s side.

”Feng Zhong actually encountered Adam and the others and even lost a layer of resurrection armor?”

Upon hearing the news that both Rock’s and Feng Zhong’s resurrection armor was stripped away,

it was both expected and unexpected.

It was expected because during the inflated period, Feng Zhong indicated he wanted to clash with the two.

The unexpected part was that not only did Feng Zhong lose his resurrection armor, but Rock wasn’t eliminated either.

Given his strength, it would be reasonable to eliminate Rock.

According to the intel provided by Jamie, Rock wasn’t very formidable; he could even be considered average, with a combat power of mid-tier.

Feng Zhong was undoubtedly top-tier.

The clash between the two ended in a scenario where both were injured.

Chen Wen couldn’t help but think of other possibilities.

However, he didn’t consider the possibility of the three forming an alliance. He was just wary of Adam and worried they might have come up with some secret weapon.

...

On the other side.

For the sake of efficiency,

Feng Zhong, Adam, and Rock took a canoe and set off by water.

The three quickly headed toward Chen Wen.

Meanwhile, Chen Wen held his ground, intending to see how things developed over there.

The show’s production team saw the actions of the four still surviving and Abel knew that this survival game was about to come to an end.

Whether Chen Wen failed or the trio of Adam did,

the survival would conclude in a very short time.

From a personal standpoint, deep down he hoped Chen Wen would win.

After all, he was the one he had chosen.

But rationality told him it was highly likely that Chen Wen would be eliminated this time.

One versus three, and they were prepared versus unprepared.

From any aspect, Chen Wen’s chances of winning were very slim.

...

Days passed one by one.

It’s the 27th day of survival.

Seeing the increasingly familiar scenery, Feng Zhong realized he was nearly back to where he had once eliminated Ivan.

He gestured for Adam and Rock to drop him off on the shore.

”We’re almost to the place where I previously eliminated Ivan. Chen Wen should be surviving around here. We need to operate separately now.”

Upon hearing this, Adam nodded, ”Be careful, I’ll observe the situation with Rock from the shadows. If any danger arises or you’re exposed, we’ll act immediately!”

”Okay.”

Feng Zhong nodded.

Adam and Rock looked at the nearby herd of hippos with a hint of caution in their eyes.

In the Kuanduo River, what’s less to be trifled with than a hippo is a herd of hippos.

Cautiously bypassing the herd of hippos, they slowly made their way to the shore.

Once the boat hit the shore, Feng Zhong immediately jumped out and walked away.

Adam and Rock used sticks to punt against the riverbank and pushed the canoe back into the water.

The three believed their plan was foolproof.

Little did they know, a hippo that was nostalgically reminiscing its single male herd days and acting as a scout had seen everything.

The hippo looked curiously at Feng Zhong.

Its gradually increasing intelligence allowed it to remember Feng Zhong’s appearance.

Why did this guy come back with two other people?

The hippo wondered.

It remembered Chen Wen telling it to report upon discovering a canoe.

The hippo slowly broke from the herd and swam towards Chen Wen.

It felt this must be the canoe Chen Wen mentioned, plus, the human who once stayed with Chen Wen had come back with these people.

This could be important information.

The hippo decided to immediately inform Chen Wen of this intel.

After swimming for a while, the hippo came ashore.

By then, it was already evening.

The hippo made a brisk run towards Chen Wen.

A few minutes later, as Chen Wen was preparing dinner, he saw the hurriedly arriving hippo.

”What’s wrong? Why did you come so early today?”

Chen Wen remarked with surprise.

Typically, the hippo would arrive close to midnight when Chen Wen was about to sleep.

After seeing each other, they would attend to their own matters.

The hippo hadn’t come by so early before.

The hippo sniffed around the camp, confirming Feng Zhong wasn’t there before saying, ”I’ve made a major discovery!”

”The canoe you mentioned appeared, and the person who stayed with you before has returned!”
