Chapter 431: Chapter 100: Taking Action

Chen Wen wanted to speed up.

After this survival ends, there are still many areas he needs to improve.

Therefore, he did not want to delay beyond thirty days of survival.

So, Chen Wen decided to kill the competition.

Also, to avoid the elephants earlier, Chen Wen decided to move. His things were all packed.

Now, with a little organizing, he could load them onto the canoe and head upstream with the hippo.

To find the other contestants.

”Since everything is ready, let’s prepare to eliminate the remaining friends!”

Chen Wen announced his decision to the camera.

With these words, the assistants of the remaining four contestants all showed looks of despair.

No!

Lin Jiawei had a look of excitement on his face.

This was the time to take advantage of the invincible momentum of hunting elephants to eliminate the other contestants!

...

Having decided to eliminate others,

Chen Wen started to prepare in advance.

He decided to set off in the afternoon, taking some strides during the afternoon.

The food issue was nothing to worry about.

Currently, Chen Wen’s food supply was quite ample, he could afford to waste some and still last until the end of the survival, with plenty to spare.

Eating normally, he could even last another month.

Furthermore, Chen Wen wasn’t worried about safety.

Now, with the hippo and the leopard brothers, there were no animals on this savannah that could harm him.

Therefore, it was only a matter of finding others.

So thought Chen Wen.

And the keen-smelling leopard brothers were the best choice.

They could clearly sniff out the scent of humans and inform Chen Wen.

Thus, an elimination plan took shape.

The hippo would drag supplies forward in the water, while the two leopards searched for human traces on land.

Once found, Chen Wen would go up with his long spear to eliminate the opponent.

Perfect!

After setting the plan, Chen Wen found the hippo and the leopard brothers and had them prepare to cooperate.

At the same time, Chen Wen transferred his supplies onto the canoe by the shore.

Everything was ready.

Just finished lunch, Chen Wen preserved the fire source and buried the campfire in the shelter.

He embarked on the road of eliminating the other contestants.

...

At the same time, at a different location.

Jamie was resting at a newly built camp.

After escaping Adam and Rock’s pursuit, Jamie planned to find Chen Wen and Feng Zhong to cooperate.

But most things in the world don’t go as one wishes.

Yesterday, Jamie passed by Feng Zhong, and the two did not meet.

But from another perspective, this was also a good thing.

At least Feng Zhong wasn’t planning to cooperate with others now.

If they had met, he would’ve most likely been eliminated by Feng Zhong.

Today, seeing that the food was about to run out.

Jamie planned to camp first, find some food, and then continue on.

At this moment, Jamie was searching for a prey he discovered — the African rock python.

The African rock python is a large-bodied snake.

The longest recorded African rock python was found in Cote d’Ivoire in 1932, with a body length of 9.72 meters.

Although not as big as the reticulated python, they are also undeniably large!

The African rock python inhabits savannas and tropical grasslands, but its activity area does not stray far from water sources.

By the Kuanduo River, this could be said to be the best habitat for the African rock python.

The African rock python is fierce and highly aggressive!

In Caprivi, it can be considered near the top of the food chain.

Sometimes, the African rock python will even hunt Nile crocodiles.

But in front of humans, the African rock python is not much of a threat.

Especially to the hunting tribesmen.

In Jamie’s tribe, the African rock python is even considered a delicacy.

And he happens to be very good at hunting African rock pythons.

At this moment, Jamie was already looking for traces of the African rock python.

These creatures don’t like swampland; they often reside in abandoned animal dens.

As for whether the original den owners abandoned the den voluntarily or were forced out, the python doesn’t care.

Sometimes, the python will even swallow the den owner first and then occupy the cave.

So, based on his experience in hunting pythons, Jamie quickly found a den.

”This should be a den abandoned by hyenas.”

With his experience, Jamie roughly judged the former owner of this den.

But based on the traces on the ground, Jamie knew very well that the den’s owner had already changed.

He took out a stone and tossed it towards the entrance.

As the stone hit the entrance with a dull thud, Jamie knew he had found a big one!

He immediately took out a wooden spear made with flint and watched the den entrance cautiously.

Moments later, a creature that somewhat resembled the gentle Burmese python slithered out.

But its temper was far from the Burmese python’s.

With the snake’s head darting out, the African rock python immediately launched an attack on Jamie.

Jamie remained calm and used his wooden spear to manage his distance from the African rock python, starting to deplete its stamina.

After a prolonged tug-of-war, as the African rock python’s stamina was gradually exhausted,

Jamie began his counterattack.

Using the flint tip of his spear, Jamie continually inflicted effective damage on the African rock python.

Soon, the African rock python was too weak to resist, pinned to the ground by Jamie with his flint spear.

He took out a finely crafted flint knife, cut off the snake’s head, and then split open its body, removing the entrails.

Then he dragged the African rock python to the Kuanduo River to process it.

...

This scene of Jamie easily taking down the African rock python reignited hope among several contestant assistants.

”Jamie’s intelligence is very sharp. He should be able to hinder Chen Wen’s progress, right?”

Someone proposed this view.

However, not many people agreed.

A mere African rock python over four meters long, how can it compare to an African elephant with tusks alone being two meters long?

The assistants, whose hopes had just flared, found themselves covering their heads, pondering countermeasures again.

But it was obvious; in the face of Chen Wen, who was riding high on morale, everything seemed futile.

Let’s see how long Jamie, who is the closest to Chen Wen, can hold out!

This was what everyone thought.

...

By the Kuanduo River.

A peculiar team was slowly advancing.

Leading the charge was a leopard.

Though it walked with a limp due to an injury, its eyes gleamed with intelligence.

Behind it was a human.

At the rear guard was another leopard.

And on the side of this team was a hippo dragging a canoe.

This combination, maybe only a fantasy film would dare portray it?

Chen Wen thought.

They had already been walking for over four hours.

As dusk approached, Chen Wen was pondering where to spend the night.

But while he was thinking,

The scout Leopard the Second suddenly barked: ”I smell it!”

”A very peculiar scent! I’ve smelled it before! Oh yes, Chen Wen, it was a human who was once with you!”

Leopard the Second’s words immediately put Chen Wen on alert.

Smelled before?

Isn’t that Feng Zhong?

If Feng Zhong is around, directly eliminating might not be appropriate.

If he doesn’t act first, maybe see if he’s interested in teaming up?

If he’s not, I won’t bring it up either, after all, it was he who chose to part ways back then.

Chen Wen’s thoughts flashed swiftly.

But Leopard the Second continued: ”But the scent is very faint, that person doesn’t seem to be around.”

Not around, huh.

Thought in vain.

Chen Wen shook his head and signaled the hippo to halt progress for the moment.

He then followed Leopard the Second, planning to see where the scent originated.

Following the scent trail, Leopard the Second led Chen Wen into a forest.

After a series of twists and turns, they stopped near the center of the forest.

Lo and behold, it was a temporary camp left by a human.
