Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Chapter 436: Chapter 105: Backstabbing

Because of Jamie’s last words, the three contestants were briefly confused.

Although they thought Jamie’s last words were unlikely to be true.

But, what if?

What if Chen Wen really hunted an adult African elephant, what would they do next?

The three of them knew they were no match for an African elephant.

Feng Zhong was feeling restless in the shelter, so he decided to go out for a walk and clear his mind.

He started strolling around the perimeter of the shelter.

As he strolled and strolled.

Feng Zhong arrived at the Kuanduo Riverbank.

He gazed upstream and downstream along the long river and suddenly made a discovery.

”Over there...is that a canoe? It seems to be a very crude canoe, could it be from the tribe?”

Feng Zhong thought to himself and quickly walked towards the place where the canoe was.

When he got near the canoe, Feng Zhong’s attention was immediately drawn to its craftsmanship.

”This canoe was definitely not made by the tribesmen!”

Feng Zhong said confidently, ”This thing has burn marks on it and is extremely crudely made. I strongly suspect it is the work of a survivor.”

”The method he used to make the canoe involved chopping one side with a sharp tool and then piling burning wood to scorch it, making it easier to dig out. This method doesn’t require high technical skills, but the resulting canoe is very crude. The tribesmen wouldn’t do it this way; they have plenty of time to make a better canoe!”

Thinking of this, a cunning light flashed in Feng Zhong’s eyes.

”Could this be made by Adam and Rock? I remember hearing in some last words that they seemed to have made a canoe, and the condition of this canoe matches their skill level perfectly!”

Adam and Rock are nearby!

Feng Zhong thought with great certainty.

He took up his weapon and carefully began his scouting mission.

The target, of course, was the woods near the canoe.

Under Feng Zhong’s careful scouting, he soon saw a burning campfire and two figures near it.

Just as Feng Zhong was about to approach.

The two figures seemed to sense something, and one of them stood up.

Feng Zhong immediately hid.

After inspecting the surrounding area, one of them said with some confusion, ”Strange, I was sure I heard something like footsteps just now.”

”Maybe you misheard?”

The two voices were very familiar!

Feng Zhong’s eyes lit up: it was Adam and Rock!

He hesitated for a moment, planning to back away slowly.

But at that moment, a puzzled Adam said, ”Wait, I think it might be best to check the surroundings carefully before doing anything.”

”Hmm?”

Rock was puzzled.

Adam continued, ”Here’s the thing, we’ve been chasing Jamie all along, right? I feel like we’re not too far from him. If Chen Wen really eliminated him just now, this place isn’t very safe for us.”

Upon hearing this, Rock nodded slightly.

”There’s nothing wrong with being cautious,” he said.

The two stood up, intending to search the surroundings.

Seeing that he was about to be discovered.

Feng Zhong immediately stood up and spoke in English, ”Adam, Rock!”

Adam and Rock became instantly alert, raising their weapons to aim at Feng Zhong.

But as Feng Zhong stepped out of the bushes and into the wooded area, the two exchanged a look and visibly relaxed.

”Feng Zhong, what are you doing here? Here to eliminate us?”

Rock, after confirming Chen Wen wasn’t behind Feng Zhong, looked at him with obvious malice.

They were two against one now, and even though they couldn’t both attack at the same time, ganging up on him wouldn’t be hard.

Feng Zhong sneered at Rock’s words and ignored him.

He turned to Adam and said, ”Adam, what do you think?”

Adam slightly bowed and responded, ”Since Mr. Feng appeared willingly, I believe we share the same thoughts.”

”Haha, indeed,”

Feng Zhong took out his satellite phone and said, ”You must have heard it too, right?”

”Heard it.”

Adam gestured to Rock to calm down and then asked, ”What do you think? Did Chen Wen really kill an African elephant?”

”That news is seventy, no, eighty percent true!”

Feng Zhong said, ”You guys might not know this, but Chen Wen is excellent at beast taming!”

Beast Taming!

Adam and Rock instantly showed interest, ”What did he tame?”

”A hippo and a leopard!”

This piece of news landed like a bomb, exploding in Adam and Rock’s minds.

Adam’s mouth hung open, unable to close for a while, and Rock even cleared his ears, as if checking if he’d heard correctly.

The two were silent for a moment, exchanged glances, and then looked at Feng Zhong.

”Since you said as much, are you proposing...”

Adam tentatively asked, ”An alliance?”

Feng Zhong did not hesitate, nodding immediately, ”Yes, an alliance between you, Rock, and me. Together, we eliminate Chen Wen, then Rock voluntarily eliminates himself, and you and I compete fairly.”

Feng Zhong offered no room for negotiation.

He laid his opinion right in front of Adam and Rock, leaving them only two choices: agree or refuse.

Rock felt a bit uncomfortable with this, but he looked to Adam, knowing his role was secondary this time.

Adam understood Feng Zhong’s nature well; Mr. Feng has always been this strong-willed.

So, he nodded calmly.

”Alright!”

With that word, the alliance among the three was formally established!

...

”Who would’ve thought these three could come together.”

”Yeah, he actually betrayed Chen Wen, that’s unexpected.”

”Well, not entirely unexpected, considering how strong Chen Wen is.”

”But they’re from the same association; is it really okay to do this?”

Watching the situation on Feng Zhong’s end, those who had already been eliminated were buzzing with discussion.

Feng Zhong’s assistant felt so embarrassed he didn’t know how to face Lin Jiawei.

He felt some resentment; attacking fellow association members could be understood once or twice.

But doing it three or four times was hard to justify!

Especially by teaming up with outsiders.

Feng Zhong’s assistant felt at a loss for words.

Lin Jiawei’s expression was very unpleasant.

This time, he truly felt the betrayal.

...

On Chen Wen’s side, he had no idea that because of Jamie’s last words, Feng Zhong, Adam, and Rock felt tremendous pressure.

And therefore formed an alliance.

At this moment, after bidding farewell to Jamie, he was organizing Jamie’s belongings.

”In terms of food, Jamie left some water lily roots and half a python.”

Chen Wen looked at the pile of long strip-shaped food, his expression calm, ”Not much, and I’m not currently lacking food, so overall, it should be okay.”

”In terms of tools, a flint dagger, a flint long spear, and some simple reed ropes.”

”That’s about it.”

”However, Jamie did tell me a rather important piece of information: Adam and Rock have a canoe, so caution and vigilance are necessary.”

After thinking it over, Chen Wen decided to have the hippo move upstream to serve as a scout.

Using the canoe to monitor when Adam and Rock would arrive.
