Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 1031: Chapter 33: Decision

About fifteen kilometers away from Su Xiao, inside a cave.

”This distance should be alright now.”

A middle-aged man with a beard let out a long breath. Beside him stood a young woman and a teenager.

The young woman glanced at the bearded man, signaling to communicate using the team system as there were two plot characters nearby.

”What tier Contractor is that guy? He’s practically a monster, and where did that Hidden Mist Ninja fighting him come from? His move must be Steam Danger Tyranny, his combat strength is definitely at tier 3 upper-level.”

The young woman spoke in the team channel; these three were a small adventure group.

”Tch, not as scary as you say, just a Shadow Guard. I could take him one-on-one.”

The teenager was somewhat defiant, typical of rebellious teenagers who trust only their squad leaders but second guess everyone else.

”And why did we have to run? That light gold Teleportation Scroll could sell for at least hundreds of thousands of Paradise coins.”

The bearded man felt somewhat helpless at the teenager’s words. Due to the distance, he wasn’t sure about Su Xiao’s combat strength, but the bearded man noticed that when the Hidden Mist was defeated, Mei Terumī’s first reaction was not to support but to flee.

Even a Shadow Level would flee? This indicates their opponent is strong enough to kill Shadow Level.

”Mouth says no, but the body is honest.”

The young woman taunted in the team channel, and the teenager snorted. Although he was verbally defiant, he noticed Mei Terumī’s reaction. He complained because he provided that Golden Scroll and wanted a big share of the benefits afterward. Reaching third tier junior level, how could he be brainless? Of course not.

”Poison Pheasant, you handle contact with Mei Terumī. Your Charm Attributes are higher.”

”No problem, this time we’ve snatched food from a tiger’s mouth?”

The young woman spoke. Her pseudonym in Paradise is Poison Pheasant; the origin of this pseudonym is temporarily unknown.

”Even if it’s a snatch from a tiger’s mouth, we succeeded.”

The bearded man looked at Mei Terumī and Chōjūrō beside him. As long as they could befriend these two plot characters, the future rewards would be substantial.

”Thank you all...”

Mei Terumī was just about to express her gratitude for the three Contractors’ help when suddenly, a white substance appeared on her arm.

This white substance rapidly proliferated, like a lump of white clay, soon enveloping Mei Terumī’s upper body, absorbing her Chakra at a swift pace.

”This is...”

The bearded man quickly stepped forward, but dared not touch the white substance directly. Instead, he drew out two Hook Blades from his waist to cut the white substance.

Splurt.

White substances splattered, a large chunk was chopped off. However, these white substances rapidly proliferated after absorbing Mei Terumī’s Chakra and have strong recovery power and adhesion.

”Damn it!”

Chōjūrō was also enveloped in the white substance and attempted to pull it off, but the thing was too stubborn.

”Poison Pheasant, quick.”

The bearded man’s face changed drastically upon seeing the white substance. He knew what it was; it was Bai Jue’s Spore Technique.

”Parasitic Poison.”

Poison Pheasant’s hands turned purple-black, touching the white substance, i.e., Spore Technique, on Mei Terumī.

As Poison Pheasant’s fingers touched the Spore Technique, the point of contact began to change from white to purple-black.

A parasitic poison spread within the spores, causing them to rapidly necrotize.

Meanwhile, ten kilometers away.

One person, one dog, and one bull were sprinting rapidly across the snowy plains. Bubu Wang’s nose twitched, seemingly searching for some scent in the air.

Su Xiao was leading at the front. His arms and calves had patches of white substance attached to them, which emitted a green energy that seeped into his body, gradually healing his calf and lung injuries.

”Bai Jue, how far now.”

Su Xiao spoke while sprinting, the fierce wind whistling past his ears.

”About ten kilometers; they’re using some technique to remove the Spore Technique, which won’t hold much longer.”

Bai Jue’s voice came from the white substance on Su Xiao’s arm. Earlier, when Su Xiao had temporarily given up on pursuing Mei Terumī, Bai Jue Clone suddenly emerged from the snow, providing the location of Mei Terumī and the others.

Bai Jue’s healing ability is excellent, it’s a cell-level recovery Ninjutsu that can only be activated after absorbing other people’s Chakra.

After receiving Bai Jue’s treatment, Su Xiao hadn’t fully recovered, but his calf bone and lungs no longer hurt.

It’s not that Bai Jue’s healing ability surpasses the No.1 Elixir, but the healing types are different. Bai Jue’s healing is slow but gentle, while the No.1 Elixir is rapid recovery in a short time.

Bai Jue’s healing ability is suitable for post-battle use; its role during combat isn’t conspicuous. The No.1 Elixir is suited to combat use. Even if Su Xiao suffers life-threatening injuries, as long as he has the chance to drink the No.1 Elixir, he’ll quickly regain combat strength.

Snow floated as three figures rapidly breezed across the snowy plains.

...

In the cave where Mei Terumī was, it was quite deep, about ten meters wide and over twenty meters high, half buried underground.

Wisps of black smoke wafted, as a pungent stench permeated the cave, leaving pools of purple liquid on the rocky ground.

”It’s settled now; let’s leave quickly.”

Poison Pheasant let out a long breath, knowing what those white substances were.

”Saved by you three again.”

Mei Terumī smiled at the three Contractors.

”It was just a trivial act.”

The teenage Contractor also smiled at Mei Terumī, signaling goodwill.

”Chōjūrō.”

Mei Terumī’s expression suddenly turned serious.

”Present.”

A slightly fatigued Chōjūrō stood up straight, having earlier battled A Mu and then getting much of his Chakra absorbed by Bai Jue’s Spore Technique.

”The enemy is already intercepting us from the east side; you are responsible for countering the east-side enemies.”

Mei Terumī’s words left Chōjūrō and the three Contractors stunned; they couldn’t comprehend her meaning. The enemy should have chased from the west side, they were fleeing east toward the Land of Water, so how could there be enemies intercepting? How did Mei Terumī know this?

”The Assassination Squad is arriving soon; the perception-type ninja Chuanmu has already conveyed this information to me. Chōjūrō, clear out the east-side enemies intercepting us, and once you meet the Assassination Squad, return quickly to support us.”

”Understand.”

This time, Chōjūrō understood the situation; the Hidden Mist reinforcement arrived but was intercepted halfway.

”Lady Mizukage, what’s the enemy count?”

”There are six enemies. Remember, quickly resolve them and meet up with the Assassination Squad. Our position is likely exposed now; this cave is a perfect terrain. Before the enemy kills me, bring the team back for support. If you’re fast enough, we can use this cave to form a front-and-rear encirclement strategy to trap them.

Also, show this to Chuanmu, have them encircle based on this formation.”

Mei Terumī pulled out a Ninja Scroll from her chest, bit through her index finger, scribbled on the scroll with blood, then wrapped and tossed it to Chōjūrō.

”Move quickly.”

”Understood.”

Teenage Chōjūrō sprinted out of the cave swiftly, soon disappearing into the snowy plains, heading towards the east.
