Chapter 1019: Chapter 21: The Second Pillar’s Art Style Is a Bit Unusual

The turmoil at the Five Kage Summit is gradually calming down. Although the Raikage has died, the other four Kages do not pay too much attention to this matter.

If another Kage had died, things would be dire. However, as the proposer of the Five Kage Summit, the political dispute after the Raikage’s death is not considered troublesome. Moreover, one of the Raikage Guards is still alive, and the Raikage’s death is merely due to his own lack of strength, unrelated to other Ninja Villages.

The four Kages are not too worried about this matter, but Mikuma from Iron Country is so concerned he feels like hanging himself. The Raikage died on their territory, no matter how you look at it, Iron Country cannot escape responsibility.

Wrapped in bandages on his head, Mikuma is worried. If the news of the Raikage’s death reaches the Hidden Cloud Village, he even suspects those martial faction members from Hidden Cloud will come attacking.

It’s not impossible; Hidden Cloud is known for being unreasonable, as evident from the Raikage’s arrogant attitude.

While Mikuma is considering how to appease Hidden Cloud Village, a spiral space vortex appears. Seeing this vortex, the four Kages become vigilant. Space series ninjas are mostly powerful, represented by Fourth Hokage Minato Namikaze and Second Hokage Tobirama Senju.

The space vortex rotates, and soon, a figure appears out of thin air—Obito, who has been observing the situation nearby.

Obito stands on a partially broken conference table, carrying the half-conscious, severely burned Sasuke on his shoulder.

Although Sasuke’s aura is weak, his life is not in danger. As for the whereabouts of Sasuke’s subordinates—Shinfuru, Jugo, and Hōzuki Suigetsu—Jugo and Hōzuki Suigetsu are missing. Jugo, after being struck by the Raikage, restored most of his injuries using the corpse of a samurai but is still heavily injured, forced to withdraw from the tower amid chaos.

As for Hōzuki Suigetsu, he fled long ago, believing that confronting the Five Kages head-on is akin to courting death.

As for Shinfuru, she was moved by Obito to an enclosed space connected to Obito’s Sharingan, known as the Kamui Space.

”Uchiha Sasuke is not dead.”

Seeing the unconscious Sasuke, Mizukage Mei Terumī looks puzzled. She previously witnessed Sasuke being buried by lava, but considering the enemy’s spatial ability, Mei Terumī guessed what happened.

As Obito suddenly appears, the eight Shadow Guards of the four Kages immediately surround him, with Danzo’s two guards charging directly.

Swoosh, swoosh~

Two kunai fly, one of which has a purple tip, indicating poison. However, this is not poison but a nano-sized poisonous insect.

Obito squints his eyes. As a member of the Uchiha Clan, his eyesight is amongst the highest among ninjas.

”A secret technique of the Abura Clan.”

Although Obito knows these nano-sized poisonous insects are troublesome, he does not dodge.

The kunai pierce through Obito without resistance, penetrating him effortlessly—this is Obito’s space ability, Fading, which is analogous to the capability of his right eye.

Obito’s Sharingan has two abilities: one is Fading, the other is Absorption. Fading is easy to understand, allowing Obito to enter another space using spatial ability. After entering another space, Obito does not disappear but leaves a phantom behind, showing the ineffective attack in the enemy’s eyes. Sometimes he only fades part of his body, consuming a smaller amount of chakra.

As for Absorption, this is Obito’s spatial movement ability. His right eye can absorb people or objects into the Kamui Space at close range.

The two kunai penetrated Obito, firmly nailing the wall behind him, with eight Shadow Guards forming a semicircle between Obito and the four Kages.

”My name is Uchiha Madara.”

Obito stands on the conference table, slightly bowing his head to look down at the four Kages and several Shadow Guards.

”...”

”...”

”...”

The room is silent; Tsuchikage and others seem unsurprised by this news, as Danzo had previously mentioned it, even vouching with the title of Hokage.

Seconds later, Obito’s expression under the mask shows slight surprise. Why is it that when he declares himself as Uchiha Madara, these people are not astonished? Has the identity of Uchiha Madara lost its luster?

That is not the case. As for Dragon’s Pride Ban, that is a being who battled the God of Ninja, Senju Hashirama, to the death. Though defeated, soon after, the prime-aged Senju Hashirama passed away, suffering severe injuries from the battle with Madara.

After a few seconds of silence, Obito breaks the quiet.

”I came here to discuss something with you. After you understand my plan, I want to hear your opinions.”

As Obito speaks, he activates his pupil power and absorbs Sasuke into the Kamui Space for Shinfuru to treat him.

”Step back for now,”

Tsuchikage Ohnoki gestures for his guards to step back. Akatsuchi leaps to Ohnoki’s side. However, the whereabouts of Hei Tu, who was controlling Deidara, remain unknown. The other Shadow Guards step back. Now, attacking Obito holds no meaning, and the opportunity to negotiate with Akatsuki is rare; understanding Akatsuki’s purpose is beneficial.

”What is your plan?”

Kazekage Gaara asks, and except for Danzo, the other three Kages stand before Obito, faintly forming an alliance.

”The Moon’s Eye Plan.”

Obito does not conceal his plan, though the reason is unclear.

”Moon’s Eye?”

The Tsuchikage, Kazekage, and Mizukage appear confused, yet Danzo squints his eyes as if understanding something about the Moon’s Eye.

”Putting aside your purpose, why recruit Uchiha Sasuke? His conduct is drastically different from other members of the Akatsuki Organization.”

Gaara voices his doubt. In his view, although Sasuke is not weak, he is overly reckless, not on the same level as other members of the Akatsuki Organization.

Apart from strength, one needs only to look at this operation. The masked man (Obito) continued observing the situation, while Su Xiao seized the opportunity to kill the Raikage when alone. Deidara induced the Tsuchikage away at the start of the battle, thereby reducing the Five Kages’ combat effectiveness. Only Sasuke scuttled around chaotically, ultimately barging into the sixth-floor conference room of the tower, facing the Mizukage, Hokage representative, and numerous guards, excessively rash.

”There are reasons for recruiting Sasuke. Utilizing Susanoo with the Mangekyo Sharingan is extremely rare. I plan to keep those eyes, but unfortunately, they are still too weak, so I arranged for him to battle the Five Kages, thus honing his pupil strength.”

Obito does not lie. Or rather, one of his purposes for coming here today is negotiating with the Five Kages. Killing them would be favorable, but if unfeasible, negotiation is the alternative.

”There is nothing to discuss. The Akatsuki Organization killed the Raikage, and this cannot be forgiven lightly.”

Mikuma speaks up, considering how to deal with Hidden Cloud Village. He currently wishes to devour the members of the Akatsuki Organization.

”Mikuma, this is a matter among ninjas, please calm down.”

Tsuchikage turns to Mikuma, indicating that this is an internal matter among ninjas; the samurai should not intervene.
