Chapter 1015: Chapter 17: Mad Hunt

Blood splattered.

Su Xiao was kicked away by Raikage, flying at least twenty meters before some feeling returned to his chest and calf.

Su Xiao staggered as he landed, driving Dragon Slash into the ground, preventing a fall.

No time to check the extent of his calf injury now, a thirty-centimeter long gun resembling a flintlock appeared in Su Xiao’s hand. On closer inspection, it was clearly not a flintlock; the whole gun was pitch black with a long barrel, adorned with blood-red patterns on the barrel and grip.

This gun is called ”Judgment of the Wild Hunt,” the firearm part of the Demon Hunting suit, with a magazine capacity of five rounds, using only special ammunition.

Given Raikage’s speed, it’s unlikely that Mad Hunt will hit him, yet Raikage is standing still at this moment, evidently bound by Blue Steel Shadow’s accompanying ability, ’Soul Electrification.’

With a thud, a forearm hit the ground, Raikage’s forearm, moments earlier, he kicked Su Xiao flying, nearly breaking Su Xiao’s calf in exchange for having his left forearm severed by Su Xiao.

Su Xiao raised Judgment of the Wild Hunt with one hand in front of him, his calf nearly numb, making quick approach to Raikage impossible.

Bang, bang, bang...

Su Xiao repeatedly pulled the trigger, the muzzle of Judgment spewing blue flames, one by one transparent-shelled bullets filled with yellow liquid fired.

The shells of these bullets appeared to be made of crystal, each with a black metal needle in the center.

The bullets fired by Mad Hunt aren’t particularly fast, but Raikage is in a paralytic state, he watched five bullets fly towards him, yet his body was filled with light blue energy meridians, acting like an anesthetic, numbing his central nerves, preventing movement, even normal breathing becomes impossible.

Crystal bullets flying swiftly, soon the first bullet hit Raikage, the bullet head touching Raikage’s chest.

With a crack, the crystal bullet’s shell shattered, hardly injuring Raikage, yet the yellow liquid inside splattered, the center metal needle pressing against Raikage’s skin.

Buzz～

The wings of the metal needle suddenly unfolded, the yellow liquid entirely absorbed into the tail end, turning from yellow to dark red.

Boom!

A not loud but extremely powerful explosion echoed, caused by the dark red liquid at the metal needle’s tail end.

The explosive impact still didn’t harm Raikage, this impact fully affected that metal needle, bearing such strong propulsion, the metal needle directly pierced through Thunder Armor, thrust into Raikage’s chest muscles, this thing called Explosion Needle.

As Explosion Needle entered Raikage’s chest, it blossomed like a blooming flower, not exploding, but turning into an Iron Flower, piercing a large area of muscle, firmly affixing itself into Raikage’s muscle. If Raikage tried to forcibly remove this Iron Flower, he’d at least gouge out a bowl-sized piece of muscle from his chest.

Almost instantly, the remaining four crystal bullets repeated the process: shattering, exploding, Explosion Needle entering Raikage’s body, forming Iron Flower firmly lodged in muscle.

This type of bullet, cannot merely be described as brutal, it’s exhausting every method to destroy the enemy’s body, notorious ammunition like Dum bullets compared to these crystal bullets are child’s play.

When Raikage’s body regains sensation, five Iron Flowers formed from Explosion Needles are firmly embedded in his muscle. It’s not over; these Iron Flowers can still be detonated.

Raikage quickly sensed something wrong; if these metal flowers remained in his body, forget fighting, even normal breathing would cause heart-rending pain.

Raikage is also ruthless; he raised his lone arm, palm like a blade, actually intending to forcibly remove the Explosion Needle within him.

Su Xiao wouldn’t give Raikage such an opportunity; he immediately pressed a button on the grip of Judgment.

Click.

The button covered in red patterns was pressed, twenty meters away, Raikage immediately felt a burning sensation in his chest.

Boom!

An explosion resonated, flames wrapped around Raikage’s entire upper body, Su Xiao clearly saw Raikage’s figure beginning to stagger.

When the flames dissipated, Raikage did not fall, but his chest bore five bowl-sized craters, seemingly blasted out by shells, exposing charred ribs in places.

Not a drop of blood in these craters, the high temperature from the explosion charred the wounds, proving more deadly than bloody wounds.

Speaking of this, we must mention the origin of the Demon Hunting suit; it’s a weapon for demon hunters to hunt black witches, making humanitarian concerns irrelevant; as the only attack weapon in the Demon Hunting suit, Judgment uses every extreme.

Despite sustaining such terrifying injuries, Raikage stood for moments before dropping to one knee with a thud.

”Puff.”

Raikage Ai spit out a large mouthful of blood, bits of organs faintly visible within.

If it were merely injuries, it would be manageable. All five Explosion Needles hit the enemy and exploded simultaneously, triggering an ability of Judgment, simultaneously detonating five Explosion Needles, inflicting 500 points of damage on the enemy, and inducing a Fragile State. In Fragile State, the enemy’s physical defense -35%, healing effect -20%, moving speed -10%, lasting 10 minutes.

Raikage’s strength resided in his thoroughly honed body and speed; now, his physical defense reduced by 35%, speed reduced by 10%, a deadly blow for Raikage.

Su Xiao stood still, not unwilling to move, but the intense pain piercing his left calf prevented swift movement.

Su Xiao retrieved a set of five crystal bullets, linked with metal frames, a custom-made bullet from Mechanical Street, at 200 paradise coins each. Producing 25 bullets received a discount, spending totaling 4500 paradise coins.

Including five bullets that came with Judgment, Su Xiao had 30 crystal bullets, now 25 remain.

Five bullets loaded into the top of Judgment, chambered.

Su Xiao raised Judgment, planning to hit Raikage with five more shots. If another detonation occurs, Raikage, if not dead, becomes a fish on a chopping board, ripe for the slaughter.

During the entire battle between Su Xiao and Raikage, Er Zhuzi observed silently, walked towards Shinfuru and the others.

Raikage glanced at Sasuke; while he wished to capture this brat alive, a strong enemy stood before him.

Just as Su Xiao prepared to pull the trigger, Raikage suddenly rose, disregarding his injuries, beginning rapid movement.

Su Xiao holstered Judgment; the bullets are too expensive, not to waste. He stomped his left foot; despite intense pain in his left calf, it would not hinder rapid movement.

Su Xiao dashed toward Raikage; although heavily wounded, Raikage met Su Xiao head-on, he is a Close Combat Ninja.

By now, Raikage abandoned thoughts of capturing Sasuke alive, knowing if Su Xiao is present, it’s an impossibility.

Moreover, Raikage understood one crucial matter: he absolutely couldn’t die, absolutely couldn’t.

No matter Raikage’s tyrannical ways, he comprehended that dying as Raikage during the Five Shadow Summit would be disastrous; it’s not about personal fear of death but concerns the entirety of Hidden Cloud Village.

The heir to Raikage, Darui, is dead; if Raikage fell here, Hidden Cloud would face leaderlessness, and other ninja villages would certainly exploit Hidden Cloud, as for that so-called peace treaty, Raikage never believed in it.
