Chapter 1004: Chapter 6: More Than You’ve Ever Seen

As for Kisame, he is relatively neutral. Although Kisame is a rogue ninja, he is extremely loyal. As long as the faction he belongs to does not betray him, he will not betray that faction, even if it means death.

Nagato’s betrayal of the Akatsuki Organization is an undeniable fact. The new leader, Uchiha Madara (Obito), is well-known and has never betrayed the Akatsuki Organization, which is why Kisame chooses to stay.

”Nagato betrayed us, despite all those things you did for him. As far as I know, if it wasn’t for you healing him at the time, he would have died from overusing the Rinnegan.”

Obito’s fingers lightly tapped on the stone table.

”If you don’t accept me as the leader, the position can be yours. In terms of qualifications, you’re not inferior to anyone present.”

Obito wasn’t flattering. Just talking about capturing the tailed beasts, Su Xiao first captured one with Deidara and Sasori, then joined Itachi and Kisame’s team, participating in many captures.

If that’s not enough, how about attacking Konoha with Nagato? Nagato’s betrayal had nothing to do with Su Xiao; he participated in the attack on Konoha purely in the name of the Akatsuki Organization. That was an attack on a ninja village.

If Su Xiao spoke now, he could very likely become the leader of the Akatsuki Organization; Deidara might support him, and Obito, for sure, would.

Is becoming the leader really a good thing? Definitely not. Currently, the Akatsuki Organization has a total of six formal members, including Su Xiao himself. Even if he becomes the leader, he would at most be managing five people.

No, Obito simply won’t obey orders, Black and White Zetsu even less, and as for Uchiha Sasuke, who even arrives late to meetings, not at all. He’s completely the rebellious youth seeking revenge, commonly known as a reckless person.

As for Deidara and Kisame, well, forget it. Deidara intermittently follows orders, while Kisame can completely obey orders.

The only one who could intimidate these villains of the Akatsuki Organization was Nagato; no one else could.

Becoming the leader = killing many brain cells = attracting hatred = a live target = focused attacks = quick death.

”Heh, I choose to support you.”

Su Xiao looked at Obito with a smile, while Obito felt secretly disappointed. If there were any other choice, he wouldn’t be the leader; this is a live target.

”Has the infighting started already.”

A somewhat cold voice came, it was the late Er Zhuzi. At this moment, Er Zhuzi was wearing the Akatsuki uniform, followed by Hōzuki Sugetsu, Shinfuru, and Jugo. Although all four wore the Akatsuki Organization’s uniform, only Er Zhuzi was officially a member.

”Everyone’s here, let’s discuss the main issue, about the Rinnegan. Currently, we don’t have the Rinnegan, so even if we capture the tailed beasts, we cannot seal them into the Gedo Statue; the Eight Tails is an example.”

Obito’s tone was somber. Regarding Nagato’s betrayal, he wasn’t too angry; he was angry that Konan hid Nagato’s corpse.

Who knows what Konan plans to do with the Rinnegan. It would be better to soak it in a solution, because if it’s just left on Nagato’s corpse, within less than half a year, the Rinnegan will be discarded.

While the Rinnegan is indeed powerful, it is an evolved human eye. If deprived of nourishment for a long time, even the powerful Rinnegan would be discarded, which was Obito’s main concern.

”Bai Ye previously discovered traces of Konan.”

Bai Jue spoke, and everyone’s gaze turned to Su Xiao.

”Saw her once in the Land of Rain, but her exact whereabouts are unknown.”

”I see.”

Obito seemed slightly disappointed.

”Jue, don’t bother monitoring Konoha’s movements after the battle. They’re busy stationing ninjas in the Land of Rain, posing no threat to us for now. Focus entirely on finding Konan, centering on the Land of Rain, and send clones to search.”

”Hmm.”

Bai Jue responded casually, seemingly dissatisfied with Obito as the leader, but actually not.

”Successfully captured the Eight Tails?”

Su Xiao suddenly spoke. Upon hearing this, Deidara pressed his palm to his forehead.

”Your old habit again.”

Deidara knew what Su Xiao intended, which was to absorb the energy inside the tailed beast.

Actually, that was not the case. Su Xiao’s Core of Devour was in a ’cooling’ phase, needing time to recover. Absorbing a large amount of energy rashly could lead him to become the Demon Blade; he just wanted to confirm whether the Eight Tails had been captured.

”The Eight Tails is already weak; you’ll end up killing him.”

Kisame also spoke. He had captured tailed beasts with Su Xiao and witnessed Su Xiao devouring the tailed beast’s energy. For some reason, as an S-Level rebel ninja, remembering that scene made Kisame’s hair stand on end.

”...”

Sasuke remained silent, unaware of what was happening.

”Personal hobby.”

Su Xiao threw away the cigarette in his hand, seeming to recall something. He casually asked, ”Who captured the Eight Tails?”

”Sasuke led the team to capture them, Bai Ye, remember to leave him alive.”

Obito didn’t stop Su Xiao. This could actually be seen as drawing him in, especially since tailed beasts are not easy to kill. He still hadn’t given up the idea of making Su Xiao a scapegoat.

Soon, the Eight-tailed man pillar Killer Bee was carried over by Sasuke’s underling, Jugo, and with a thud, Killer Bee was thrown onto the ground, immovable.

Su Xiao stepped forward and placed his finger on Killer Bee’s arm, verifying a certain hypothesis. According to his judgment, the current Sasuke shouldn’t be a match for Killer Bee; no, Sasuke should be beaten badly, even with Shinfuru and others’ help, still beaten badly, the combat experience between them was not of the same level.

The Eight-tailed Jinchuuriki Killer Bee was the strongest Jinchuuriki with no equal. He had reached a cooperative understanding with the Eight Tails, allowing him to maintain a clear mind even in complete Tail Beast Transformation. Not only that, the Eight Tails would assist Killer Bee in battle.

Leaving aside Killer Bee’s formidable strength, the battles Killer Bee had undergone couldn’t compare with how many of Er Zhuzi, let alone the difference in strength, how could Sasuke capture the Eight Tails?

More importantly, in the original story, Sasuke was just tricked by the Eight Tails.

The Blue Steel Shadow energy flickered at Su Xiao’s fingertip, rapidly infiltrating Killer Bee’s body. Moments later, the Blue Steel Shadow energy dissipated.

Su Xiao turned back and returned to his seat.

”Congratulations...”

Su Xiao looked at Sasuke, who remained expressionless, very cool~

”Caught a fake.”

”Hm?”

Sasuke was somewhat displeased, he nearly died capturing Killer Bee, not to mention being struck by many knives of Killer Bee, over 40% of his organs were blown away earlier, were it not for Jugo and Shinfuru, he would now be a corpse.

”What do you mean?”

Suigetsu, behind Sasuke, was also dissatisfied.

”Fake?”

Obito stepped forward to inspect Killer Bee, scrutinizing carefully, he vaguely sensed something was amiss; his eyes narrowed, thinking Sasuke was not mature enough, or rather, Sasuke’s hatred was still insufficient. He had always hoped to cultivate Sasuke as a key chess piece.

”What do you mean by fake, purely based on your judgment, I can’t be convinced.”

Clearly, Sasuke didn’t accept Su Xiao’s view. Nearly dying just to catch a fake would indeed make him seem incompetent.

”Believe it or not, I’ve captured more tailed beasts with my own hands than you’ve ever seen.”

”You...”

Suigetsu clearly felt Su Xiao was deliberately mocking them.

”That does seem to be the case.”

Deidara, knowing the truth, found no issue with Su Xiao’s statement ’I’ve captured more tailed beasts with my own hands than you’ve ever seen.’
